Great break away from every day life. The surroundings are spectacular. The service is great, and the people are lovely. We had an amazing time!

Five stars deluxe -Tenahead
Tenahead lodge is very remote and the road up Naude Nek pass is a challenge but so worth the slow drive. Guest comfort is a priority. With only seven rooms you are pampered from the time you arrive. The food was excellent - the chef was creative and everything was top quality. All the staff were attentive without invading your privacy. Definitely a place to relax and leave the world behind, especially as internet very slow! Lovely walks, and the vultures out on a spectacular fly-past at the hide. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatments too. Highly recommend spoiling yourself here for a special occasion

Värt resan!
Väldigt fint hotell och fina rum med fantastisk utsikt. Vägen dit var ett äventyr, men det var helt klart värt resan.

LOVELY HOTEL, LOVELY SETTING BUT DIFFICULT TO FIND. PLEASE PUT SIGN BOARDS UP ON THE ROAD TO TENA HEAD THAT WILL HELP PEOPLE WITH THE ROUTE

5star luxury in the middle of the Mountains!
BEST KEPT SECRET EVER - our hosts Gary and Lida were phenomenal, the food fantastic, and every request we had was met promptly, efficiently and friendliest way possible. Be aware, that this lodge will require some rough travelling on mountain roads and narrow ledges.. and that a normal small car can not make this drive - But Gary was more than happy to collect us from Rhodes and drive us up with the Hotel 4x4 .. be prepared to be amazed by the scenery, the silence and then the complete sumptuous luxury of this mountain Lodge, 50kms south of the Lesotho Border. You will see stars at night, you will be overwhelmed by the vastness and the majesty of the mountains, and the Lodge holds its own in every way to its surroundings. If you are an Eco tourist - add this hotel to your bucket list, if you are a nature lover, get here, soon!! With only 07 Luxury rooms at this Lodge, means you will always find somewhere quiet to sit and read or must stare out the window in your bedroom at the surrounding hills and mountains. Hiking, Biking, Horse riding, sleeping, eating, spa treatments, This is a winter AND a summer destination, again, be warned, this is a LODGE it is not a city hotel , it is remote, but well worth the drive and distance to get here, and we will be returning as soon as time permits.

Ruhe über den Wolken
Wandern an der Grenze zu Lesotho oder Fliegenfischen in absoluter Einsamkeit. Fantastischer Ort um Abzuschalten.....mit normalen PKW erreichbar empfehle aber 4x4 für die Strecke ab Maclear. Tenahead über Rhodes fand ich okay, aber über Maclear bin ich bei Gewitter zweimal mit Toyota Corolla stecken geblieben und konnte den Matsch und Geröll nur mit Schwung bzw. zweiten Anlauf überwinden......schon nicht ohne. Aber der Weg lohnt sich! Kein Mobile Phone Empfang und WLan nur im Aufenthaltsbereich. Essen ist super! Hatten wegen Gewitter längere und im Prinzip romantische Stromausfälle. Grüsse an den Lodge Hund Tener!
