The issue was with Hotels.com who did not follow up & ensure our reservation was complete when we arrived for check in. There was reservation confirmed in our name even though we had confirmation it was made & payment made. The Hotel said they received no booking from Hotel.com, so spent over 1 hour calling & trying to get the confirmation & reservation made. The Hotel could not honor the reservation & price & would have to charge us separately & then we would have to get the refund from Hotels. com which we were not prepared to do. Finally after reaching Hotels.com customer service then resent the reservation to the Hotel so they could proceed. Why did they not follow up on this electronic glitch, Sleep Inn not acknowledging the order? Totally unacceptable, but thankfully the Hotel - Sleep Inn had rooms available & finally honored the original price & reservation.
