Nothing was as advertised. Couldn’t access half of the restaurants. Wasn’t advised one of the two buffets was closed for construction. The noise was horrible at two of the pools because of it. Worst food I’ve ever had at every restaurant option available.

Tuve expectativas altas sobre este hotel y no fue así las instalaciones son muy antiguas y viejas es urgente una remodelación para las habitaciones, en cuestión de la comida el buffet es muy repetitivo y comida muy agringada , el servicio regular , eran contados los meseros que me atendieron eficientemente , hace falta que tengan meseros en el área de las albercas , la limpieza excelente en las habitaciones pero en los baños del complejo super sucios.Realmente me dejó un mal sabor de boca este hotel 🙁 por el precio que pague creo que no los valió

The rooms are very outdated. It is a shame to put guests in rooms with moldy mattresses, the bathroom door literally peeling off, with dirty/moldy corners. The hotel needs renovation. The food and drinks were excellent. Housekeeping would clean rooms every day. The beach has rocks in the water-a lot, can’t walk in there. Staff, servers and bartenders, are outstanding. This hotel is part of the gated community, so it’s pretty around it.

I paid for All Inclusive but was told NO on several occasions concerning food drinks. When I asked how much to pay so I could enjoy this vacation. They just said no. The staff was awesome with exception of a few. The experience was horrible cause thinking I paid for All Inclusive and finding out it wasn’t and also not being accommodated eventhough I offered to pay for it. All I heard was no. No explanation as to why. I will not ever come back to this place nor will I recommend it. Don’t Advertise ALL INCLUSIVE, take the customers money and they are stuck in a horrible situation. Not fun at all.

As many mentioned, the rooms are a little oldish but beds are comfortable and super clean. Fantastic food!

Room was out of date but the rest of the property was good. Eating in the resort is what you would expect from an all-inclusive budget friendly resort. Staff was great. Dining options around the marina are great too. Really secure area with a ton of families. Night life is non-existent in the area. Would return and recommend the hotel though!

Amazing time for our one year anniversary. The staff was amazing and so friendly. Breakfast is great. Lunch and dinner buffet is mid. For the price you pay way worth it. Obviously an older resort which is outdated and needs renovations in the rooms. But think about what you pay compared to other resorts. Ocean access is basically a lagoon area that’s blocked off to the ocean by rocks due to high current and waves. Beautiful reefs to snorkel. Rocky entrance to the water but once you’re out it’s sandy and beautiful!

I didn’t like the La carte booking option, could not get the time slots we wanted and when we did we noticed empty tables which we could have used for our group. A lot of people seem to have not attended their booking.

Property and rooms are old. Scratched doors, old used bathrooms, water went into the bathroom when you shower. Food was just ok. Overall unless u get this place for really cheap I would not recommend it.

I really enjoyed how they had areas of the sea blocked off and you could snorkel and see a variety of fish for free. The buffets had great variety and were plentiful. Great drink selection. The rooms are showing some wear, and the night club music was at an obnoxious level. Staff were friendly. A good variety of families, adults of all ages but not a lot of your hard partiers.

As a returning guest of 9 times I have a little more expectation so take that into consultation with my review. I prefer the Catalonia Yucatan side for the simple reason of view and closeness to the beach. Rooms are outdated but very clean compared to the newly renovated Catalonia riviera Maya side. (They use to consider sister resorts) As of Nov 1/23 they have split the two and you cannot get privileged on the Yucatan side at all. Catalonia did offer us to switch sides (to the riviera Maya) and receive the same service that we’ve always received but would not give us the same to stay on Yucatan. We couldn’t use the steak house, Japanese restaurant, or beloved. Other than this our trip was amazing as always from the staff to the location!

Great value for money
Great stay, with our family with our family of 4 persons. The staff is very friendly, the restaurants a good, not super perfect but is really good value for money. The option to try different restaurants with reservations works very well, so we did not feel we had the same food all the time. The rooms needed a upgrade, but we know in advance, as we seen it in many reviews before. However our time spend in the room was so limited, that it’s only for sleeping. We will definitely come back, if we need a hotel in PA again.

THIS WAS THE BEST! The resort was exceptional and the staff was exceptional. I can't say better things about the staff, especially Emillio (concierge), Alfredo (bellman), and Victor (customer service support). EVERYONE, helped me and my roommate. It was the most fun vacation I've ever had, I will absolutely be returning next year. I hope I get to maintain these friendships and see these amazing staff again next year.

The hotel has lovely beach pools and activities. The rooms are a massive let down! They are so old and tatty; broken tiles in the shower door is peeling off really old ! Also no tea/ coffee making facilities which is a minimum even at the cheapest hotel. The rooms are big aircon is good and bed is comfortable so I’m not sure why there isn’t the minimal investment in fixing up the things? We stayed in many similar hotels at 4 and 5 star hotels so we have a good idea of what standards we should meet. The food in the open restaurant is hit and miss although always plentiful and no waiting . The a la carte restaurants are super difficult to book and the Italian was terrible. I’m a chef myself and it seems like the basic concepts / flavours of Italian kitchen are just not met … The pizza was so poor it was like a Tesco smart price from the freezer with not enough cheese on. When I ordered it I was told it would be 45 minutes, that should have rang the alarm bells but there you go.Had carpaccio, no olive oil at all! And the Tiramisu was a chocolate Swiss roll 😇 I nearly went in the kitchen to lend a hand Just an advice there in all seriousness it might be a good idea to fly in a proper Italian chef to build you up for month and you will have a menu you can be proud of. Bar staff everywhere was lovely and all in all we did relax and enjoyed our stay

This was our second stay at the property and we enjoyed it yet another time. Great service by the staff, the free kayaking and snorkeling makes it even better (there are many different types of fishes in the sea). the complete Puerto Aventura campus is a specially built community for vacationers so it is very safe to walk around at any time.

The rooms are outdated, need definite improvement, specifically matresses were old and dirty. We believe this is such a basic and inevitable thing a hotel should provide, if especially when they charge a nightly rate of 300 usd. Unfortunately staff admitted that the mattresses were not renewed for a long time. The staff were amazing except a few, always trying to help and accommodate. Food was good too, comparably limited selection. We do not recommend Italian restaurant. Also need to be privileged to get drinks in the room/ fridge.

Nice smaller beach with breakwater. Dining option non-existent, reservations gone at 8 am. Two buffets were good. Friendly staff, clean. Basic rooms could use upgrades, we weren’t there for the rooms. Great wifi. Overall would stay again

We spent a week at this resort and had an amazing time! The rooms were fairly outdated but we’re always cleaned well and waters stocked. The resort shares the facilities with the Riviera Maya resort next door so there are lots of pools, bars and beach areas to explore. The food onsite was great, lots of buffet options and the a la cartes were delicious (highly recommend the Mexican restaurant & Japanese) We loved the relaxed atmosphere and great snorkeling right off the beach! The nightly shows and entertainment staff were excellent! Overall a great resort for a good price.

Las habitaciones se ven deterioradas y viejas, muebles dañados. La comida no es muy buena, ni siquiera las de los restaurantes de especialidad. Tampoco hay mucha variedad
