We booked a double room with a shared bathroom. Staff was there to greet us when we checked in, and were kind and efficient. Room was spacious and had a mini-fridge which was nice. A big overhead fan kept us cool at night, we never got too hot even in the early September heat. The bed was made for us every day, and room was relatively clean, but there was so much dust in the corners that when I accidently dropped a clothing item on the floor against the wall it got so dirty I couldn't wear it anymore. Main issue was the bathroom. 2 bathrooms are shared between several rooms. Showers and toilets are not separated, meaning if two people shower at the same time there is no toilet for the rest of the guests to use. One of the bathrooms doesn't have a lock on the door, just a chain. The first night I showered there, someone partially opened the door because there was no actual lock, which was an icky experience. There was also no hand soap in the bathrooms, just empty bottles. I tried to tell staff this but after we checked in, there was never anyone around. On our last morning, there were LOUD renovations/construction on nearby rooms down the hallway starting just before 8 AM. We were never told this would happen. No breakfast was offered to us. This is not a B&B. I stay in budget accommodations often, but wouldn't recommend this place if you have other options. For 1 night I think it could be okay if you just need a safe place to sleep. The area felt safe and was convenient.

Il personale è sicuramente gentile e la struttura in una posizione comoda. Purtroppo ho prenotato senza rendermi conto che la stanza aveva il bagno in comune e anche se ho cercato immediatamente di annullare la prenotazione recuperando i soldi, non è stato possibile. Il personale della struttura mi ha assicurato che questo problema non dipende dalla loro politica. Quindi devo supporre che dipenda da expedia che, nonostante l'apparente disponibilità, non ha risolto. Detto questo i bagni in comune non mi sono piaciuti perché sembravano i bagni di un appartamento qualsiasi con tantissimi prodotti come shampo, gel, pannolini, deodoranti etc, già in uso a qualcuno, la pulizia inoltre non è il massimo. Credo che i gestori stiano facendo dei lavori e spero che migliorino la situazione per i clienti futuri. Anche perché la struttura è in una buona posizione e ha sicuramente delle ottime potenzialità se adeguata. Per quanto riguarda expedia mi sarei aspettata una maggiore cura del cliente, soprattutto di fronte all'immediata richiesta di annullare la prenotazione una volta che mi sono resa conto di avere prenotato una stanza con bagno in comune (davvero pochi minuti). Alla fine per non perdere i soldi mi sono adattata ma, senza togliere niente alla gentilezza dei gestori, non era quello che volevo e il soggiorno non è stato gradevole.

There was no AC in the room, the bathroom was not inside the room, it was a shared bathroom. I could never find somebody to ask a question. It did smell good and the room was clean. There is no room service, so you will find the room just as you left it. The bathroom was clean. It was definitely an experience.

Good place. Good location and friendly staff. I would have liked a little better communication on where to go and how to check in. But. For me the temperature was boiling hot in Rome and this place didn’t have air conditioning. It was unbearable. Even with the window open and ceiling fan on I was only able to sleep a little.

The Room was very small and the window goes only to the insiede of the house. The bathroom was also very small. The way to town is not so far and the next bus- stop is near.

An OK budget option. Staff was friendly but not there too often. The room itself was fine, not spotlessly but livable. Working fridge and TV. Bathroom was OK, not the best pressure in the shower but not too bad. Cleaning wasn't that often and the walls are really thin so if your neighbour decides to shower and move furniture at 1 pm, you hear it clearly. But, location was good with walking distance to a lot of the sights and close to various bus lines. Several shops around and close to restaurants and other places you might need. In all, an OK budget option as long as you don't have noisy neighbours.

The property was absolutely disgusting. I advised I am allergic to dust and still the bedroom and the bathroom were so dusty and dirty. I stayed two nights, and the morning after the first night someone came to the bedroom, they did not clean but threw away some of my toiletries for no reason. Highly not recommended!!!!

Leider sehr heruntergekommen, geputzt wird nur oberflächlich, verschimmeltes und verkalktes Badezimmer. Nur auf Nachfrage bekommt man frische Handtücher, das Personal ist aber hilfsbereit. Transfer hat super funktioniert.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it’s good enough if you mostly need it for sleep. Room wasn’t too expensive so one should have too high expectations. We payed for a private bathroom. And private bathroom we received. Only that the bathroom wasn’t in direct connection with the room. We had to go through the corridor to get there and we had the only key to it. We forgot to lock it once and then other guests would use it. Location was good, around 25mins walk from Rome city center. It was nice to get away a bit from the fuzz of the center and to pass some more authentic restaurants on the way.

Do not stay here. Everything about this place is a red flag. When we arrived we were asked for ID, after showing the receptionist my passport I noticed she had taken a photo and sent it to someone over text. She then insisted we pay an additional €20 to "cover the staff being onsitie". Not once did we see a member of staff nor did they reply to any of our messages. When we were shown to our room there was a single double bed despite my booking clearly saying that the room was to have two single beds. When I raised this issue and showed the receptionist she said it was a "request" and we shouldn't have expected to have two beds. She then called someone I presume is the owner to rant about the fact I was unhappy forgetting the friend I was with could speak fluent Italian and could understand everything she said profanities and all. The room it's self was run down, the lock on the door was flimsy at best, curtains couldn't be fully drawn the toilet didn't flush leading us to use the communal one. The overall feeling was that the room was unsafe leading us to take most of our positions out with us each day. I understand that this is a cheep booking and did not expect anything great. However, everything about this room felt unsafe and I would in no way recommend it to anyone.

Dear Guest,maybe you do not know the rules that we have in italy, but all the guests have to show a passports for their registration...otherwise the bathroom worked very well and the room is safe like the whole structure ... the bed was double because when you book with online agencies we DO NOT have the information directly.We don't use bad words, you like to tell lies...You are the classic keyboard lions, ignorant and unable to relate in person...

The worst experience ever I have had booking a hotel, 1- It wasn’t mentioned that the bathroom is shared 2- They took a photo of our passports and sent it over WhatsApp to someone (very sketchy and insecure) 3- The room was absolutely not what I have booked or what was advertised No curtains in the room Very basic furnitures 4- Not worth the money 5- I left 10 minutes after checking in, they didn’t want to refund me anything, even for the second night. This ruined our first and second days in Rome, we had to find another hotel very quickly.

Betjeningen var veldig vennlige og hjelpsomme. Eieren Stefano ga oss gode råd om hva vi burde se og hvordan vi kunne komme oss dit. Super beliggenhet med gangavstand til severdigheter og togstasjon. Ca. 10 min å gå til nærmeste metro. Flere trivelige steder å spise frokost i nærheten. Vi er veldig fornøyde med vårt opphold.

Non torneremo mai più in questa struttura molto deludente: il bagno in comune sporco e senza la possibilità di usare la doccia perché piena di asciugamani sporchi , in camera mancava un cuscino e nel complesso tutto molto scarso e vecchio… l’unica cosa positiva è stata la posizione comoda per visitare la città.

Buongiorno, ci dispiace ma la pulizia del bagno in comune viene fatta più volte al giorno, purtroppo se ci sono Ospiti che sporcano in continuazione....abbiamo camera col bagno privato proprio perchè esistono diversi tipi di Ospiti, chi preferisce spendere qalcosina di più ed avere il bagno privato in camera e chi guarda solo al risparmio per poi lamentarsi.Cuscini ce ne sono 2 per persona...Fortuna che la posizione sia piaciuta, camera al centro di Roma al prezzo pagato...mah.Saluti

Buongiorno, partendo dal presupposto che ha pagato 50 euro per un posto al centro di Roma...sempre facile fare i leoni da tastiera...Magari un confronto costruttivo sarebbe più utile anche per noi.Cerchi altro a 30 euro al centro di Roma, ma le assicuro che non troverà neanche un ostello, pensandoci bene qualche posticino per strada...Saluti

Wij hebben met veel plezier verbleven in Gialel B&B. De kamer en badkamer waren netjes en schoon. De koelkast was werkend en de plafond ventilator was zeer prettig ‘s nachts met het warme weer. Het personeel was ondanks hun gebrek aan Engels zeer aardig en behulpzaam. Het enige minpunt was dat er naast de B&B een gebouw werd afgebroken, wat voor de nodige geluidoverlast heeft gezorgd. Verder erg tevreden, prima B&B voor een lage prijs
