The worst & nightmare hotel ever!!!
This hotel is the worst of all. The host is very impolite and rude. He discriminates Asians. I’ve never experienced this kind of thoughtlessness and strange hotel and host in my life. I arrived at near the hotel at 8:40 in the evening and I called the hotel and intended to ask about the parking lot. After the host of the hotel found out we are from Asia, he told me “You are late for the check in, so there is no room for you.“ I was shocked and embarrassed. “What on earth going on?” What can I do with wife and two kids in this strange place at night? I checked the hotel voucher but there is no check in time policy. So I checked the Hotels.com and found the check in time policy.Their check in time is 3PM to 8PM but also there’s late check in policy which is Optional extras. Late check-in between 8 PM and 10 PM can be arranged for an extra charge of EUR 25. Even I found this hotel’s check in policy of Agoda is 9:30PM. So We came to the hotel and asked check in again, the owner said same answer “You are late, No rooms for you” I begged “You cannot do this, there is late check in policy in the hotels.com.” “At least you have to refund the money “ He told me again “I don’t know about the refund, you can ask to Hotels.com” I and my wife were very upset and argued with the owner. Another guests from Germany persuaded the owner and intermediated us . Finally we got the key but it was a total nightmare.I had a very bad memory of Rotenburg because of this

Hello, Please tell the truth. This is not correct. You arrived here 9 PM and cried with me (your wife).Check in is usuallay until 8 PM .But next time i know better is to cancel at all because your wife was so unfriendly incredible. And we have nothing against asian people !!!!

Very disappointed. I gave up the reserved room.
이 호텔은 정말 최악이다. 오죽하면 객실에 들어갔다가 객실료를 포기하면서 다른 호텔로 옮겼다. 체크인할 때 온수를 제공할 수 있느냐 하는 질문에 불가하다고 하고 더우기 커피제공은 펄쩍 뛴다. 주차공간도 따로 없어 주차지를 찾아야 한다. 객실에 들어가니 우리나라 여인숙 느낌으로 방바닥에서 삐걱소리가 나서 기절초풍. 결국 우리는 성외곽쪽으로 나가서 새로운 숙소인 Rappen를 예약하고 그곳에서 묵었다. 호텔닷컴을 통해 예약한 대표적 실패대상이었다.

I liked the location. I did not like the communication with the staff. I had to wait for them to show up at the property to check-in. When I had a question, I could not get a hold of anyone. The entry door to the property did not lock properly. It is a security issue in a tourist town. The staff were not honest on the parking situation in town when I talked with them.

In the heart of a romantic town
The hotel is superbly located right in the heart of this most beautiful town. We were offered off-street parking for 10 euros by a helpful host. The attached cafe was not open during the evening but there are plenty of options nearby. The room was warm and comfortable

The booking was for a double room and we were given a twin. That is not the end of the world but this was not the end of our problems. My husband found a brown mark on the sheet and black hairs in the shower (we are both blond). It was impossible to keep the window open due to the smells drifting in from the burger joint downstairs and as a result the room was quite stuffy. Finally, just as we were heading out to dinner (thankfully in another establishment), we came across a mouse running around in the ground floor corridor adjacent to the hotel and restaurant entrances. All the being said the location of this hotel is great and Rothenburg is a very pretty place.

En skuffelse
En skuffende oplevelse på baggrund af forventninger skabt ud fra billederne. Et trist værelse uden udsigt. Minimalt badeværelse hvor man knapt havde plads til at stå foran vaskekummen. Vi har prøvet to andre hoteller få hundrede meter fra Am Siebersturm. Begge disse var på alle måder langt bedre og tilmed billigere. Am Siebersturm var henh. 46% og 65% dyrere end disse to, og på Am Siebersturm var der ingen morgenmad, hvilket var inkluderet i de to billigere hoteller.

The location was great, although it is on a Main Street and is very noisy early and late. Room and bathroom were modern and nice, but small. Tough conditions getting luggage upstairs with no help from staff. The advertised terrace was locked and inaccessible. There was no bar or lounge. The hotel rooms were above a small cafe which was closed for two out of the three days we were there. Unfortunately, the smell of the cafe hits you when you first walk in and travels up. The property owner is not there much so it’s all about self service. Rooms were also warm being on the second floor with only windows for ventilation. However, when you open the windows you deal with the loud tourists below. No fans or AC. Property manager was not helpful.

Two shortcomings
The room was nice and clean, but it needed a USB connection so I could charge my cell phone and the wash sink drain plug had to be removed in order for water to drain. The location was excellent, right across from the local pub and at 10 € per day, parking was easy and next to the pub.

Trevligt litet hotell med närhet inne i Rothenburg. Ägaren ringde oss kvällen före ankomst och berättade att Hotels. Com tagit för lågt pris som han inte accepterade. Vi fick avgöra om ville betala mellanskillnaden med 20 euro eller avboka. Vi betalade mellanskillnaden.

All locked up and in darkness on arrival dpors locked and no one about a man turned up and said did not expect you till later and its my day off gave me a key and told me it fitted front door inner door and room , told me where the room was and left the hotel. He was rude and unhelpful .the room was nir made up and to say the least unkempt . Wr had to leave and find another hotel at a higher rate a claim qill be following for a refund and i am totally surprised that a company like expedia would have a dump like this on your lists. Was dark, unattended and dingym

Hello, first of all. You called us a day before to have a twin bed room and also asked us for a late check in. You told me you want to come by 9 30 Pm .You arrived here 20 minutes after 8 PM . The reception is closed by 8 PM . In Rothenburg the most Hotels and Guesthouses cloeses the reception by 8 or 9 PM You asked for a late Check in and come almost 1 hour before and tell us nobody is here !!! But it is ok if you well giood with that. Sincerely The Siebersturm

Rothenburg i våra hjärtan
Ett trevligt litet hotell med fin service och vänligt bemötande. Fräscha rum, flera med utsikt över dalen annars finns terass att tillgå. Bra frukost, restaurangen koncentrerar sig på hamburgare. Tyvärr var det vilodag vid vårt besök. Hotellet ligger bra placerat i denna pärla bland medeltidsstäder. Inte för inte är ju Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Tysklands bäst bevarade medeltidsstad. Oavsett årstid så blir man aldrig besviken på denna pärla och även omgivningarna är värt att vandra runt i.

Perfect location , good hotel
Easy to find Hotel , a short walk from the Railway Station . Friendly staff to greet us and show us our room . Amazing location near to Plonlein made this a great base for exploring the town . Even got up at 6.00am to see what Rothenburg looked like without all the tourists, of which I was one ! Plenty of cafes and restaurants and places to stop off and hav3 a cool beer . Plenty of shops if that is what you want too .

It was quite hot at the room. But it was getting better between midnight to the early morning. It is properly because it is an old house without air conditioning. The price does not include breakfast, but you will have many choices at the street.

Hyggeligt lille hotel med god central beliggenhed
Dejligt lille hotel med unik og central beliggenhed stort set i centrum af den historiske og velbevarede bymidte i Rothenburg som i sig selv er en oplevelse værd. Muligt at parkere tæt på hotellet og det er meget specielt at man må/kan køre bil inde i centrum af byen inden for bymurene. Få værelser men gode - dog køjesenge til børnene men dette fungerede ok. Det er reelt et spisested som er smeltet sammen med et lille hotel og det er ganske hyggeligt. Restauranten i stueetagen laver god mad herunder gode burgere til aftensmad. Rigtig god morgenbuffet og generelt et dejligt sted til prisen. Eneste lille minus var at værelset var lidt varmt og at der kunne være lidt trafik lige op ad hotellet pga den centrale beliggenhed men ikke noget som kunne ødelægge nattesøvnen.

sehr kleines Zimmer mit noch viel kleinerem Bad. Im Bad sind Fugen und Decke mit schwarzem Schimmel bedeckt. Parkgebühren von 10,-€ pro Tag wurden extra berechnet.

Lieber Gast, wir haben uns das entsprechende zimmer und Bad angeschaut. Leider können wir Ihre Meinung nicht teilen.Wir sind ein Fachwerkhaus aus dem Mittelalter , deshalb können einige unsere Zimmer klein sein. Die Sanitären Anlagen haben wir erst vor 2 Jahren komplett erneuert. Aber trotzdem Danke für Ihre Bewertung. Parkgebühren 10,00 Euro die Stadt Rothenburg verlangt für öffentliche Parkplätze auf der Strasse 10,00 Euro.Ich habe Ihnen auch angeboten , Ihren Wagen ausserhlab der Mauer zu Parken für 5 Euro p.Tag.Sie wollten aber einen Parkplatz gegenüber dem Hotel. mfg Siebersturm mit Team

Kleines Hotel inmitten der Rothenburger Altstadt
War nur ein kurztrip! Aber völlig unkompliziertes ein und auschecken. Zimmer sauber und gemütlich. Frühstück lecker und abwechslungsreich. Jederzeit wieder !

Estada tranquila em Rotemburgo.
Ponto muito bom. Atendimento também. Pra quem chega com mala pesada sofre um pouco porque não tem elevador e tem de subir umas escadas. O banheiro estava bem úmido e frio apesar da calefação.

This hotel situates in the heart of the old town and it's not a long distance to walk from the train station to there. The room is small but pretty and very clean.

Zentrale Lage aber Unterkunft absolut ungenüged
Wie so etwas noch angeboten wird ist mir leider nicht erklärbar. Für eine Übernachtung bei einem Preis vom 102€ erwarte ich zumendest ein ordentliches Zimmer, welches sauber ist und auch etwas wohlichen Charm ausstrahlt. Das Frühstück ist so nett lieblos dahergeklatscht, wahnsinn. Habe ich noch nie erlebt. Dazu ein Geruch von alten Frittenfett aus dieser "Hamburgerbude". dieser Geruch zieht sich ebenfalls leider durch das ganze Haus. Es wäre auch mal angebracht, den Sanierungsstau von 1970 aufzuarbeiten. Es gibt hier eine Menge zu tun!

Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Leider können wir es nicht verstehen unsere Zimmer sind erst letztes Jahr komplett neu renoviert. Sanierungsstau von 1970 , wir haben das ganze Haus saniert die letzten Jahre. Sind Sie sich das Sie das richtige Haus bewerten. Zum Frühstück, das werden nächstes Jahr nicht anbieten .Bei einem Preis von 9,00 Euro p.Person. Bieten wir Ihnen alles an, sogar Kaffee Satt. Leider reicht das einigen Gästen immer noch nicht. Im Cafe neben an Kostet das selbe Frühstück 14,00 EURO !!! Tut uns leider leid das Sie das alles so sehen . Warum sagen Sie uns nicht vor Ort , das etwas nicht passt, wie die Sauberkeit etc. Aber es ist natürlich einfacher und anonymer über das Netz. Wir bedanken uns nochmals für Ihren Aufenthalt.

Hotel location is great.
The hotel is located near the c road/path to Berg Eltz Castle. Strenuous walk but worth it. 25 euro for transport down. Nice room with resturant below. Small with two beds. Very small bath room.

Great little place
Hotel was perfect for our needs. Best part was the new Rothen-Burger restaurant that opened in our hotel lobby 2 days before our arrival. Excellent burgers! The guy who runs the restaurant is also the manager of the hotel. He has a fun, helpful personality and we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with him.

Beliggenheden er perfekt for at se byen. Stille, selv om det er ud til gaden. Alt på værelset fungerer. Der er lidt stejle trapper og ingen elevator. Morgenmaden er ikke det store sus til prisen, og vi har mødt mere hjælpsomt personale.

Nice, within the walls.
The hotel was nice, but the room next to ours was sealed up with a warning sticker from the city. Not sure what that was about, my brother translated it and it talked about being closed, but no real explanation. Our room smelled of the sewer, I think that may be the reason the other room was closed. It would have also been nice if the room had a fan to circulate the air. Their was no A/C, that would be a must for me in the future.

Nice hotel close to all the eateries and shopping
Clean room, bathroom, great staff, and awesome breakfast. If we had anything negative to say it would be the loud guests across the street at the beer garden and the heavy, loud traffic from 6-11:30pm every night.

Nice stay in great location--with amazing views
Rothenburg is a must see and this hotel is fine for the $$. The hotel manager is not the warmest and fuzziest (some might interpret as rude) but you just have to try to warm up to him. The hotel is small (bathroom is minuscule) but honestly it's fine. Pretty clean, great location on the edge of the town within the wall, everything within walking distance. The view from the back of the hotel is just amazing--it's a fairy-tale come true.

Bom hotel com excelente localização
Gostei da estadia, talvez um pouco influenciado pela excelente localização. As instalações eram razoáveis e achei o café da manhã um pouco aquém.

very nice, friendly hotel.
I didn t look for any luxurious hotel, and this one was just for me, small, clean, familiar. The people, who manage the hotel are such nice people and try everything to help you.
