The property was older and was only up to date in the kitchen and bathroom. The surrounding area was somewhat messy and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There were no services provided aside of clean towels. The laundry area was very messy.

More of a fishing cabin than motel.
Check in was a nightmare no one there when I arrived so waited about 10min. A guy walks past and told me someone was coming while the guy stood 20 mtrs away chatting to a mate about his car for another 10 min. Finally someone came out to help and was apologetic about him. So I assume this was a once off issue. Not somewhere I would ever stay again but it was the last available place at its price in town. Shower is very tight and everything is a little old and worn out. I had to call reception to get them to turn off a high pitched beeping sound outside the room which would keep you awake all night if I didn’t complain. On the plus side excellent room heating and electric blanket on the bed. Would be great if you were there for a fishing holiday with the boys as lake is right over the road.

Thank you for choosing a homeless free Motel. You are very lucky there is no homeless around your rooms my guest. The bee from the camera is alert sound once capture any moving objects. It will be off at 10pm.

The check in process was simple and easy and we were fortunate to be able to check in early at no extra cost. Great location on lakeside that obviously comes with good views. The room and its facilities are out of date but fit purpose. However, the shower is very tight. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as it provided us with what we needed for our over night visit.

lovely view of lake and nice and quiet location. motel is clean and we can see that there has been some work done on the facility, however it does need some updating. towels were changed which was great. overall a pleasant stay.

The room was not ready on arrival at 4pm. Had to wait for the room to get cleaned and serviced so late for a party. The bathroom area has been updated but still a bit shabby in the furniture. The position of the motel is great as right across from the lake.

Unit 8 has pleasing lake view from the breakfast table. Very small cooking element on table top stove, does not suit the size of the cooking frypan. would like to a current telephone directory available for use with our own phones.

Service and room lovely. Fully stocked kitchen with utensils. Weather hindered our trip but all sorts of water sport equipment available as well as laundry. In right weather this place would have been amazing. Beds comfy and shower hot.

The view of the lake was beautiful. Staff was friendly, inviting and gave great advice for newcomers to the area. Unit had everything we needed for our stay. Shower was too strong and needs adjustment

Lovely setting right opposite the lake. Very attentive owner. Clean room and comfy bed. We booked here because it is pet friendly but it is worth bearing in mind that you aren’t allowed to leave your pet in the room unattended at any time so it didn’t work out as pet friendly as we expected. Also we were charged an extra $20 per night for the dog which was never mentioned at booking.

Well is definitely not a 4.5 star accommodations. We would not return to this place. Very out of way of everything. Rooms very outdated and has an odour. Small shower.

Initially friendly enough but rooms are terribly old with lots of mold. Owner initially said dog policy was on the website but there is no dog policy. Hotel should not be advertised as "dog friendly" if it is not.He became very petulant and was standing around outside of our room the entire week to make sure that the dog wasn't doing anything in the room like sitting on furniture. Every time I came out he was standing outside our room. I have had my dog for 9 years and he has never had an accident or destroyed property. then he charges me $100 at the end even though nothing was on the internet. I have no problem getting charged extra for the dog however if he keeps saying that it is on his website in there is nothing on his website, than that is called lying. He was really arbitrary about the charges and kept changing it. All around awful experience and gross room.

Not in Rotorua
This place is 10km out of town. It has a similar name to "Jack & Di's Lakeview" which is located right in the town centre of Rotorua. I will call it a deceptive conduct by having such a similar name to another operator when you are located 10km out of town and located in Ngongotaha. This is no longer in Rotorua. Especially in a small town like Rotorua, 10km makes a big different, it should not be listed as in Rotorua. If I have known the location I would not have booked in the first place. Having said that, the interior is very specious and has been renovated recently. There's not much facilities at the place except for a laundry room and a garden. Exterior is very dated, belongs in the 60s or 70s.

The Lake ROTORUA right in front of you. I have not idea about your comment. Please look up dictionary for LAKFRONT, and Google map location first before you booked your room.

Close to Lake
To say it's tired is mild, verging towards run down. Jack & Di's by name only. A friendly Twianese owner/manager. It just needs attention. Low budget overnight stay if you get stuck or a couple of guys fishing stay.

2時過ぎにチェックインしようとしたが、事務所の電気はついていたが鍵がかかっていて、呼び鈴を鳴らしても応答なし。ふたたび４時過ぎに事務所を訪ねたが鍵がかかっていて応答なし。困っていて事務所の周りを回っていたら事務所の右横の小さなかごのなかに部屋のカギと手紙が入っていました。事務所の正面に手紙をはっていてくれたらもっと早く部屋に入れたと思います。非常に不親切です。オフシーズンのため滞在客は我が家だけで、事務所はほとんど開いていません。朝９時過ぎにホテルの関係者らしき人が事務所をあけましたが、常駐はしていません。サービス精神がありませんね。

Okay stay
It was a okay stay for 2 nights especially if you plan to do fly fishing on the lake or if you are seeing attraction nearby like Argodome, Skyline, Rainbow Springs...etc. It is motel quality but it was clean and kids loved the trampoline at the backyard to bounce in it many times. Other parts of backyard seems to be run down with broken little mini golf and BBQ. We had free kayak as we stayed for 2 nights but cold to use it in the lake for us. Self serve laundry is a bit high at $6 with a very small capacity per load and the clothes are still semi wet after paying the dryer to go a cycle.
