The hotel is located in the most beautiful spot; the grounds are stunning with beautiful gardens backing right up to Inka terraces. It's within walking distance (on very narrow sidewalks) to town and just a quick three minutes to the trains to Machu Picchu. The staff were wonderfully helpful and kind. The room was lovely. The restaurant was excellent. There was no down side to staying at the Pakaritampu!

The property was gorgeous, the staff were amazing and helpful, the rooms were very basic and cold despite a small heater. The breakfast was 6/10. Nice overall place to stay just stating the downsides :)

Hotel Pakaritampu is a hidden gem, literally. Behind the stone wall you see on the street is this beautiful, quiet oasis. My husband and I were only there for 1 night and wish we had more time to enjoy the property. Highly recommended!

I booked a bedroom with 3 beds for my children and myself . We arrived around 5:30 pm. When my son went to bed , he noticed there was sand on the sheets, a lot. I called the front desk and someone came and put new sheets. It was about 11 pm. About half hour later, my daughter and I opened our beds and I found a sock, which was not mine, on the bed. My daughter found a dead bug on her bed as well. We went to the front desk , in our pjs and brought the other guest’s sock snd a picture of the dead bug. The clerk came back to our room and gave us fresh sheets. It was almost midnight so we couldn’t go to another hotel. When we were having breakfast next day at 5:45 am , the manager came to me and apologized . She offered me 200 soles for the inconvenience . I told her I was not taking 200 soles . This is a very expensive hotel in the area . The night was 720 soles . She said they could give me 50 percent . I told her I was coming back in the afternoon and wanted the credit back on my card . As I was walking out, she came to me and handed me an envelope stating thanks for your understanding and 350 soles. The whole experience was horrible . We couldn’t fall asleep thinking that the room was filted. Under the beds , there were spider webs and dust. We chose the hotel for the convenience to the train station . We had to take a train at 6:10 am. The experience was very unpleasant. I don’t see myself booking this hotel in the future . Terrible !

Very pleasant property. Hummingbirds outside your window in the morning. Very close to the train station, short walk into town.

Geeat location to Inca ruins and to the train station that goes to Machu Picchi. Hotel does not have heat in our room. They did bring us a space heater that helped warm the room.

Friendly, green open spaces. Tired but spacious rooms. Floors creaked a lot and a nail ripped a sock. No tea/ coffee facilities. Close to station. 10 min walk to main centre. Breakfast ok. Expensive for what you get. Expensive dining in house.

It was a lovely setting and well decorated. Staff were courteous and very helpful. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant as well.

The staff was extremely helpful and even sent a car to pick us up at the airport in Cusco! Good location and one of the nicer hotels in town.

Great find

Hotel was a little pricey, but loved the room, the grounds, and the service. Easy access to the train station, booked a private car though the hotel that was easy and safe. Definitely recommend.

Very expensive hotel, double what it's worth. But very close to the train station - 3 min walk - which makes it super convenient for a trip to Machu Picchu. The train gets there in 1.5 to 2 hours, so it saves a lot of time versus going from Cusco. Clean, free parking on premises. Decent breakfast.

Within close walking distance of train station and cute village with restaurants and shops. Felt very safe. Left out rental car in secured parking overnight While visiting Machu Picchu. Requested second floor room but didn’t get one. Was awoken 5 am by room over us. Overall would stay again.

Convenient for the station

Very clean and tidy. Great staff and good location for the station to take you to machu picchu. Surroundings a bit busy with traffic.

Beautiful aetting

Very nice and well kept hotel. Beautiful grounda. Very nice staff. Wonderful breakast with jams that must have been made onsite. Very close and walkable to the train station.

Great grounds, clean facilities, good location.

Great place with nice grounds. Was quiet, despite being near train station. We came and went on foot, but guess that it could be difficult to access by vehicle due to very terrible traffic on the road.

Beautiful garden and location.

We loved our stay in Ollantaytambo. This hotel arranged to pick us up at Cusco Airport. We had left our large luggage at Lima Airport Storage locker for 5 days, so we were travelling light. One day we were tired so hired a motorcycle tuk tuk for $1 US to drive us up the hill to the plaza. It was a fun ride. The staff were lovely and the front desk arrranged for a cab to take us to Moray, Pisac and Cusco ruins for a reasonable price. The hummingbirds with the long tails were very interesting. Loved this place.

Comfortable room, especially after a long day at Machu Picchu. There did not seem to be a heater in the room, although one may have been provided if we had been awake enough to ask. Location is excellent, short walk to train station. Our one negative experience was trying to use the business center to print our airline boarding passes. The printer was not working and the staff at the front desk just looked at it and shrugged. Otherwise, good experience.

beautiful grounds and facilities

fairly new property. grounds are beautiful, lovely pool and hot tub, jacuzzi tubs in rooms. The only problem is that the hotel is rather isolated so if you don't have a car, you must eat at the hotel. Food was OK but mediocre, especially lunch.

The grounds for the hotel are beautiful! The rooms were squeaky clean. Things to improve would be a friendlier front desk staff and a heater in the room (And probably some AC in the warmer months).

Tranquil sanctuary in the right location.

The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the train station, the entrance large Incan terrace site and the central square. The Staff is eager to serve and ensured that all our needs were met promptly. The site is spacious with outdoor seating area dispersed throughout the compound. Great experience.
