Bel hôtel, très calme, avec une terrasse à l'ombre des pins parasol qui offre une vue imprenable sur la baie de St Tropez. Personnel discret et très accueillant. Cela procure une très grande intimité avec l'impression que cet endroit est à nous.

Hotel Martinengo
Hotellets har väldigt bra läge, precis vid stranden. Bra luftkonditionering, dålig wifi. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Frukosten var simpelt och typiskt franskt. Gratis parkering. Lagom promenadavstånd till centrum, ca 15 min. Nära en bensinmack. Väldigt vacker ort. Det enda dåliga var att det inte fanns nån vattenkokare och kaffe/te på rummet.

Beautiful place! However, there is traffic in front of the hotel. Fortunately, the windows are quite soundproof. Away from the busy tourist area, but walkable to cafés, bakeries and grocery stores. All in all, good value.

We opted for a room with patio which unfortunately didn’t have windows except for patio door and it was damp. It was also very dark. We stayed three nights and all our staff smelled of damp afterwards which is really unfortunate. The room had a small fridge which was handy but very noisy when running. Bathroom certainly needs remodeling, nice tiles but old and tired. It is ok to walk to Sainte Maxime but not exactly close by. One of the reception staff was very friendly, unlike the other one. Accommodation with parking which can be very helpful in busy months.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix
L'hôtel est idéalement situé. A 2 min à pieds du centre, face à la mer. Le style extérieur de l'hôtel se fond parfaitement dans le décors. Les chambres par contre sont veillottes et mériteraient un rafraichissement. L'hôtel est calme et le service correct. Gros bémol, le petit déjeuner avec que des produits industriels, même pas de pain ! Excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Très grande chambre 3 personnes avec un grand placard de rangement, le tout très propre pour un prix très raisonnable de 77 €. Il serait toutefois utile de pouvoir fixer le pommeau de la douche au lieu de le tenir à la main. Vue imprenable sur le golfe de Saint-Tropez. Le fils du propriétaire de l'hôtel est adorable, toujours disponible et très fier de l'établissement construit par son père. Seul bémol, pas de pain frais au petit dej pour faire des tartines. Surtout des biscuits et cakes en sachet individuel (nickel d'un point de vue hygiénique).

Very nice hotel. It is in an old mansion but it is very well kept. It still has many statues all over the gardens. Beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea right from your balcony. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, but no WiFi in the room
The hotel was mostly superb. Friendly staff, good location, and spacious rooms. However, it is NOT, as advertised, a 41 minute walk from St Tropez (unless you can walk on water, in which case, kudos!). It is in no way walkable - I decided to walk to Port Grimaud, which was >1 h 15 min (around 4 miles) each way, and that is only half way to St. Tropez. The only factor that was a major negative for me was the lack of WiFi. Although the hotel advertises free WiFi, it is NOT usable in the rooms (and my room was right next to reception so I can only assume that it was would be worse elsewhere). Because I had work to do during my stay, I had to keep using my cell phone as a hotspot to access files that had been emailed to me and to exchange documents with colleagues. If that doesn't matter to you, then this hotel is awesome. I, unfortunately (and begrudgingly), would have to look elsewhere next time I visit unless they get usable internet in the meantime,

Looks great from a distance but not close-up
Looks like a 1900 villa but built about 30 years ago by the current owner, using lots of re-claimed items, creating an old French feel. Perfect location facing St Tropez across the bay, and 10 minutes walk from St. Maxime. Unfortunately, not finished off. No fire exit signs, no fire alarms in the rooms. A dangerous step on the way to the first floor rooms. Lacking indoor facilities in poor weather. The worst breakfast I have ever been offered in any hotel, anywhere in the world consisting of pre-packed cakes, biscuits and processed fruit. No fresh bread, no eggs, cheese or meat; machine coffee.

Vaikka edessä oli kohtuullisen vilkkaasti liikennöity tie, ei siitä aiheutunut melu- eikä muutakaan haittaa.Huoneeseemme kuului maaterassi, jonka yksityisyyttä voisi jotenkin parantaa. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja siivouksen taso huoneessa oli hyvä. Huoneen hintaan ei kuulut aamiaista. Sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä esitelty aamiainen kuulosti hintaansa nähden kovin vaatimattomalta! Tosin emme käyttäneet vierailumme aikana tätä palvelua kertaakaan. Ehdottoman hyvä valinta sellaiselle matkaajalle, joka haluaa olla lähellä palveluja ja rantaa mutta kuitenkin rauhallisessa ympäristössä. Kiitos!

La terrasse de l'hotel a une vue exceptionelle donnant sur la mer, l'accueil est y familial, les chambres confortables , reste à améliorer le petit dejeuner qui dépourvu de beurre , pain frais, et confiture, reste très basique avec quelques gateaux individuels emballés individuellement. je pourrai que conseiller au maître des lieux de réorganiser la partie petit dejeuner dans sa globalité et revoir l'agencement de cette grande terrasse avec de si jolis pots d'anduze qui mélangés à d'autres pots et statues de style si différents crée une déco brouillon, dénudée de chaises longues et transats où nous pourrions y trouver calme et volupté !...........

The Hotel is well positioned to access beaches just cross the road, the town of St Maxime is a 15 min walk away with a good range of restaurants, shops ,an indoor market the harbour has Boat trips to St Tropez avaliable all day always worth a trip, The owners were really pleasant rooms were clean and spacious enough plenty of parking, we stayed for 4 nights and would visit again if staying in the area.

Hôtel très bien placé, à proximité de la plage (route à traverser) et pas très loin du centre à pieds et très agréable, très beau extérieurement. Le réceptionniste lui aussi très agréable. Seul petit bémol, le petit-déjeuner pour 8 euros n'avait pas l'air à la hauteur du reste de l'établissement(c'est pour ça que nous ne l'avons pas pris). Dommage
