Basic amenities. Facility is being remodeled and was a mess. Staff worked hard during our stay and it improved during our stay. People were friendly. Room was not very clean. It was not bad enough to warrant leaving but was way too expensive for what we got. Also, hotel advertised the availability of a king suite - two rooms. We got charged for the larger room. This hotel did not have any suites. We are trying to get a refund for the overcharge.

My room was OK. The gentleman at the front desk was courteous and professional. The carpet in the stairway has many stains and tears (rips). I’m wondering if the damage is from pets or from water. I noticed that some signs say that the property is a Sleep Inn and I’m wondering if it changed ownership. Are there plans to renovate the property?

We stayed in room 216 in Salina Kansas and both nights that we were there there was a girl screaming in the hallway yelling at her boyfriend I'm assuming and the neck the first morning that we were there after we woke up I asked the front desk for towels and they told us they didn't have any the second night we were there it got really windy and I went to turn the heat on and it blew out ice Cold Air I tried to contact the front desk numerous times no one answered me so me and my 1-year-old and my four year old froze all night long it got down to 35 or 40° in that room it was cold we all three had to snuggle up together to keep warm because I couldn't find anyone in the hotel to help me I'd really like my money back I was really highly dissatisfied with the hotel I commented about it to the front desk person on the way out and she said you should have told us and I explained to her that I did tell him or try to tell them that no one was responding no one would answer the phones anyway she said that she talked to her supervisor and I've never heard anything back from them I really like reimbursed my money or something to show that they really do care thank you have a great day

Check in great nice helpful staff. Room was great for the price fridge and microwave spacious room clean and big bathroom. Only thing to say needs improvement is morning staff… we’re none around. Breakfast (no sugar free of anything not even coffee sweetener. And no butter of margarine for the white only bagels and bread. Please add whole wheat, and equal and butter and I will be back. Convenient off exit.

This is the WORST hotel in which I have stayed. The odor is terrible. The door didn’t close well. The air conditioner didn’t work. The commode rocked on it’s base. The tv didn’t work. There were two small pillows on a king size bed. We even had to ask for an ice bucket. Breakfast was terrible. No phone either. Never again!

This hotel was filthy with black mold, filthy rooms, and had a horrible odor in it. It looked as though they were renting out to homeless due to the broke down car on blocks and a nasty grill on the yard of the property. WE WANT A FULL REFUND FROM THERE! I will also be contacting the Kansas State Board of Health on this facility!

First set of keys didn't work. Trash can without liner was sitting outside the door when we arrived. There was only one bath towel in the room for 2 people. When we asked for another, we were given 3 bath mats instead of a towel. The shower curtain was missing and the room smelled of mildew from some type of flood.

Very disappointing
I had reservations for a king suite but was given a room with 2 double beds. When I tried to correct this I was told that was all they had. They could give me a discount or a refund. I chose the refund. He said he gave me a 15% discount but that it had to come from Hotels.com since I prepaid. Next problem - the deadbolt on the room door was broken and did not work at all. I had to turn the chair upside down in front of the door to block the door. The 3rd problem - I tried to carry my luggage in though the side door because it was much closer to my room, however, the key card reader did not work so I had to carry my bags clear around the hotel and then back down the hall to get to the room. The 4th problem - upon checkout I asked for a receipt but was told that they could not give me one because I booked through hotels.com. I never received a receipt and I never received a discount. Very poor customer service. Very poor room security because of the deadbolt. Poor convenience because of the broken key card reader. Do not recommend

Pulling up to the hotel, we immediately noticed the overgrown landscape and poorly Maintained exterior of the building and instantly regretted booking a non refundable room. Although the front desk staff was very friendly, the lobby was in need of a deep cleaning and was poorly lit. Once in our room, it was obvious that it was not swept, dusted, or wiped down after the last guest. The pillows were yellow and heavily stained, and had no pillow covers in them. The pool was closed due to maintenance, the exercise room was locked up, and the guest laundry room had no appliances and was littered with trash. There's a part of the hotel that is dedicated for "long term guests" and it's obvious that more than just a few people live there. I took the steps down to the lobby instead of taking the elevator (oddly noisy when it moved) and almost stepped in cat feces on my way down. Once outside, looked down, only to notice that someone threw up their Cheerios right where my feet were. Exhausted, we went to sleep, woke up early, and started our drive back to Ohio 4 hours ahead of schedule, just happy to be out of that hotel. Breakfast was minimum, we didn't eat it. Definitely not a hotel I would ever recommend.

The employee Richard was so nice & very helpful. Seemed understaffed quite a bit. The room was lacking a bit things like -the complementary shampoo & things - we got 2 lotions & a conditioner (easy mistake I get it) the ice bucket, lamps not plugged in, no shower mat towel & things like that. The curtains seemed to be pretty old with thin spots & could've been needing to be reenforced to the wall, the shower curtain needs to be redone it wouldn't stay closed. I know it's a low priced place which wasn't horrible but just know that it is not going to be perfect.

This property was dirty the tv didn't shut off the air conditioner didn't change. And 1 set of towels for a king suite. And the management was outside drinking with other guest when i needed something i had to go find him out there. And housekeepers quit so no rooms were ready by 3 pm

The bathtub wouldn't stay stopped long enough to take a bath. The pool wasn't working front desk staff said it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time!! Not enough towels for everyone. The breakfast consisted of frozen biscuits and luke warm gravy. Best thing about this place was the coffee!!

If you are on a tight budget and need some where cheap to sleep for the night this might be your place. If you can afford to avoid this place -- do, there are several other options in the area! The front desk clerk was drunk when we checked in at 4:00 on a Thursday. My husband and father had to help him up of the floor not once but twice. The room my husband an I were in was out dated but clean enough. However there were no towels or ice buckets. The room we reserved for my parents smelled heavily of weed and also had no towels. The best I can say for this hotel is that it's cheap and there weren't any bed bugs. Breakfast is scarce to non-existant. There is a crockpot of gravy that appears to have been sitting on the counter for the last several weeks. The public restrooms next to the breakfast area didn't have paper towels and they weren't refilled all weekend. The doors also didn't lock. Pool is broken and clerks didn't act like it would be fixed. The "business center" housed 2 old mattresses and several other maintenance items. We visit family in Salina often and we will not be back to the Rodeway Inn.

We stopped in here on our way back through, and honestly, I’m glad it was only one night. I read reviews and called to make sure breakfast and the pool would both be open. I was told that yes, BOTH, were open. I asked a few more times to make sure. He reassured me that they would be. We made it here, checked in, and started our walk around. The pool-that I was reassured multiple times would be open-had a paper sign posted that it was closed. And the lovely breakfast he also reassured me we’d be having, is cold (I mean, COLD) biscuits and lukewarm gravy. OH! And a couple bagels just chilling on the counter. Nothing to put on them, though, so I wouldn’t bother. Let’s talk about the room itself. Upon check-in, we were given the wrong room. No big, talked to the receptionist and she moved us to the correct room. TV wasn’t working, but after a quick call to the desk and a quick trip from the receptionist, we were fixed. I won’t call this the worst hotel, but it’s gotta be the worst one I’ve stayed at.

Ok to just sleep for a night.
Stay was ok. Not within walking distance to any shopping but not too far by car. Lots of available parking. Front desk staff was very friendly. Hotel in ok shape overall, older and hasn't been updated. Our room was ok. The bed was clean and comfortable. The rest of the furniture was just dated and in line with a 2 star off the highway type of hotel. We felt safe while here. We used no amenities and were not aware of any. We just slept and left early.

The hotel is understaffed. When we checked in after 5 p.m. our room wasn't ready. We waited 35 minutes & I requested to inspect the room first. The condition of the main floor lobby was disgusting & I had no plans to stay if the room was in the same condition. Luckily it wasn't. Threadbare but clean

Excellent staff! Rooms very clean and nicely decorated. The night shift staff very kind and helpful. I will definitely stay at this hotel again! Rooms not finished. Wires coming outof wall. Doors were at one time busted through. TV was really small for the spacious room.

EXPEDIA REFUSES TO REFUND OUR MONEY, WE DID NOT STAY ONE MINUTE!!! DO NOT GO! Photos are NOT of that motel. I prepaid but, bad dudes hanging in the parking lot on a 98 degree day, DOG loose in the Lobby & breakfast area, a breakfast with NO breakfast. Someone Sleeping in the Lobby on the couch. A 5 & 3 year old wandering the motel. Scary place, in 30 years I have left a motel without staying. EXPEDIA WILL NOT REFUND OUR MONEY.

The hotel cancelled our room reservation claiming that they didn't have any. I would not recommend booking. The pool was not available for us. When we got there, Their was no one at the front desk. It was a horrible expeince. We didn't even get to stay in a room.

We stayed here about 6 years ago when it was a Sleep Inn. I feel like the owner of this formerly nice hotel lost it to the mob in a card game. Now they’re just bleeding the thing until it dies and making no repairs, not even the easy ones. The price is insanely low, and we had a long stay in town so we wanted to give it a try. Here’s what we experienced: Giant lobby that looks like it used to have a decent breakfast. Now it has a hand written sign saying breakfast is unavailable until further notice. Several light bulbs were out. Business center looks like someone looted it and left just a mouse pad and surge protector. Several light bulbs were out. Pool was full of water, but cloudy without a filter running when we checked in. On day 2 there was yet another hand written sign saying it was closed. Pull Out Couch in bedroom had a support bar that was broken clean in half. A hammock would have been more comfortable. The bed was slightly more comfortable than sleeping on the floor. Several of the light bulbs were out, but upon further review the lamp didn’t work. We went to target and bought a cheap lamp. Shower was either ice cold or scalding hot. No in between. Staff wears street clothes and live in the hotel. The front desk clerk is a really nice man who apparently lives at the front desk. I never saw another employee. If you need a room with A/C and basic cable, this is better than anything in North Salina. But don’t expect much more.

Conveniently located for Exide and Signify workers
This hotel was so clean I honestly thought that it had just been built. The location was only 1.2 miles from where I was working, so it was very convenient. I only wish that I had not been so worn out from work so I could enjoy the pool, but sadly I was way too tired. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. It did take me a moment to find the sweet spot. Now I like really, really hot showers, but wow! The sweet spot...tough to nail down, one tick to the right was too cold (for me), and one tick to the left was actually too hot (for me). But once I found that sweet spot... amazing. The only negative things that I have to say about this place is... A) The trashcan for the room did not have bag in it. B) There was no single serve coffepot, cups, or ice bucket in the room. Other than that, excellent.

There were light bulbs missing in the room,. The alarm clock didn't work, the microwave control panel started beeping on it's own, when I went to the front desk with a request for more towels and toilet paper there was a sign on the desk that said to call a number for so I did and the lady that answered the call said that she had just left and she said she would would call someone to bring them up to my room however that individual nevered showed so I had to chase down someone else to get them. The staff looked like people off the street not dressed for or cleaned up for the job!
