The ladies at the Front desk were so nice and the room was large and clean. It’s a short walking distance to the beach!

It is in a great location turn to the right and you see the water. Maybe put a bench outside if you have people waiting to get in the office in the sun after traveling and beach towels or chairs would be nice to offer.

Service was great! We got upgraded to a suite when we checked in and that was amazing! The property is a great location, right by the beach.

I enjoyed having the extra space in the sitting room. Location was excellent half a block from the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. The decor could use an update, upholstery on one of the chairs was torn up.

The rooms were really clean when we arrived. However, they didn’t clean it during our stay (we spent 2 nights there). The area around the hotel is really good, super close to the beach, with many options of restaurants around it.

I was going to say you get what you pay for, but felt like this place was a bargain - for what I was looking for. I wanted something affordable and in a good location. This place was half a block from the beach, right off Mission Blvd, plenty of things to do, and plenty of places to eat. Check in was extremely simple and pleasant. The room was fine. I was there by myself for a quick get away, so I wasn't trying to impress anyone. The room was small, fairly clean, the bathroom appeared to be recently renovated. AC worked great, plenty of hot water...no issues. My only "complaints" was that it was pretty obvious the room was only given a quick clean before I arrived. There was splattered coffee on the wall behind the coffee maker, random smudges on the wall here and there, and a rather uncomfortable crusty on the ceiling directly above the head of the bed. But a quick wipe fixed it. The other complaint was the extremely loud cleaning service carts rolling around outside my door at 7am!! Had I been there on business it wouldn't have mattered. But, a 2 minute walk to the beach made me forget all about it. The next time I'm looking for a quick get away to SD, I'll definitely come back here.

Parking was fun to figure out, but I was just glad we had any at all! The property isn’t in newest condition, but it felt safe and clean and super convenient! We loved being close to the beach without ridiculously high costs. Kids had a blast.

Amazing experience! I stayed here for 1 full week while I was in between leases. I worked remote from the hotel and had a great experience with the front desk, as well has maintenance staff. This place is super quiet during the week but as expected, gets a little louder on weekend nights but nothing too bad

This is not the hotel's fault, but there were loud drunk college age kids staying next to us that woke us up quite a bit. This is definitely a party town. Having said that, I had to kill 2 cockroaches in our room. Thats not good. Other than that, the property was clean.

Walking distance to many shops and restaurants all while the beach is literally right there. Nice part is there is a few parking spots which is nice especially when it comes to beach cities. Check in was easy and overall a convenient spot for the price you pay. Definitely would stay there again!

Perfect spot, mediocre room
Hotel is in a perfect location just steps away from the beach and downtown area. Check in was quick however only one customer allowed in the office at a time. Our room key didn't work and when going back to the office i had to stand outside and wait as there was a customer inside. A little inconvenient. The room was clean at glance, however, there was a thick film of dust and dirt on the bathroom window sill and baseboards. There were stains on the walls. Door knob and light switch area had dirty stains as if never wiped clean. The overall cleanliness of the room was not great. You can tell rooms are not deep cleaned or scrubbed, just a quick change of sheets and towels.

Best Place Ever in PB!
Customer service was fantastic from the start. Very friendly and helpful. I was set up for my room on the 3rd floor right next to the roof top deck. I can definitely say that my experience staying at this hotel was phenomenal. It was my first time in this hotel and I can definitely said that I will be back staying there. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I want to state that the staff was great & helpful. The hotel itself is a whole health code violation. Room smells musty, unclean sheets, roaches in bedroom and ants in bathroom. Everything felt sticky. I would never recommend nor will I ever return. I wish I can give zero stars.

The place was nice. I could use a little exterior cleaning the hallways and sthere's other than that, everything was fine. Very close to the beach walking distance down to the pier.

They definitely turn the hot water off on your last day 😂 Still was worth the cold shower. It was affordable and by the beach. I’m a CNA so my budget was what it was. I think the locals are worried about tourists staying there. The cost of everything is too high and people don’t realize this and move there without a plan or job. I think this is why they turn the hot water off. Just a theory. Time at the beach makes any annoying nuisance worth it though.

Actually, we had a hot water heater burst in the middle of the night that was repaired the next day. I do apologize for the inconvenience and especially the impression it left. We would never consider turning off the hot water. We do hope to see you again.

Did not feel very welcomed. Paid for one room got a different kind. Didn't want to go to the lobby again so kept it. Hot water broke. No shower the morning that we got up. Although in all fairness, there was a plumber there to fix it. Convenient to many many places though. One block from beach (if that) so that part was great. I'd probably give them another chance, if it became necessary.

Great location, excellent price
A alst minute trip to San Diego and we chose PB Surf for price and proximity to the beach. It was wonderful. We chose a room on the 3rd floor - adjacent to a marvelous roof deck. A quick walk to the beach and shops - it did not disappoint. I would defonotely stay here again.
