밤에는 치안이 그닥 좋지 않지만 샌프란의 큰 도로가에 위치해서 그나마 괜찮음 조금만 걸어가면 완전 중심지까지 금방 도착. 밑층엔 카페, 건너편에는 현지 마트도 있어서 편리함. 단, 샤워/화장실은 따로 있음.

The location is close to my school and still close to a grocery store and several restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Ram’s is located a block and a half from my school and has a cafe on the corner that has good lattes and food. The hotel has wood shutters that take away a good deal of downtown noise and the fan and heater are perfect for any adjustments I need to handle with SF weather. The staff is friendly and the beds are comfortable. I stay here every time I come to town.

Did not stay there because of homeless and other s
I chose not to stay there because there were homeless people in front of the hotel that were bothering me as I try to get in. The parking was 2 blocks away and I did not see how I could come back there later at night and walk through that very challenging part of town. It did not feel comfortable or safe so I did not stay there. The person at the desk was helpful but she just told me that's just how it is.

My biggest complain is that the neighborhood is very unsafe. I literally saw drug deals going on in broad daylight. Room was great, had its own shower and clean, but the hallways smell really bad, I assume it’s because it’s old. I just can’t look past how dirty the neighborhood is, it smells of urine, trash everywhere and there are homeless/unstable people walking everywhere.

Solid Hotel - Tough Neighborhood
Great for budget travel, just in a very bad part of town. Loud street noise and not safe to walk around at night.

It was very difficult to find Parking. On the website it says available parking for $30 off site. This IS FALSE. We called the hotel to give us more information on this $30 parking. when we arrived at that parking structure they told us there was no overnight parking. We had to go to 3 different parking structures just for them to tell us no overnight parking is available. We had to pay $80 for one night at parking away from the hotel. Hotel has NO AC. Very compact.

Care for customers
My train arrived 5 hours late, so by the time I got there all places to eat were closed. They did not let me go to bed hungry and provided something to eat.

I love the cafe downstairs. Only downside is the noise outside unless you’re a heavy sleeper. Other than that it was pretty great!

The room smelt like poop even though the window was open and they claimed that with their COVID protocols, the room had been vacant for 48 hours. When I brought this to their attention, I was ignored. There was no coffee, just cream and sugar.

My husband and I arrived within checking in hours. We drove around for 40 minutes looking for a parking spot and the front door was locked upon our arrival. We spent a total of 30 minutes knowing on the door/ringing the bell trying to get in. NO ONE EVER CAME TO LET US IN AND WE HAD TO FIND ACCOMMODATION ELSEWHERE. The neighborhood is also super sketchy and we watched a man looking in all the car windows looking doe valubles.

The location of this place is great. Close to Market St shops, Civic Center, Bill Graham Auditorium, SOMA with easy access to Muni and Bart.

Will stay again at Ram's hotel!
Will stay again! Ram's hotel has a perfect location next to the central Market street (tram, busses, and metro) to explore the city - or walking to the areas of interests. There is a good breakfast place downstairs, small grocery across the street, restaurant in the next corner and more opportunities on the Market street within minutes. The neighbourhood is OK, no worries. The hotel itself is clean and safe. I also checked the shared bathrooms and they were nice (2 in each floor). We stayed at the room with ensuite, and it was OK; not too much space, but you do not spend your time at the hotel anyway. All necessities were available. Staff is nice and helpful. Good value for the money.

No parking... not just none available, they don’t have a parking lot. After discovering this, I had to stay elsewhere and they would not refund my money .... even though THEY provide no parking

The bathroom was recently remodelled and for the location, the room was a good size. Downsides were having to walk up a large flight of stairs from street level with luggage, and having to buzz staff to get in, which wasn’t an issue as they were very responsive but a minor concern when arriving back late at night.

I knew this wasn't going to be a 5 star hotel but wow...I felt like I was in a European hostel. On top of the community bathroom/showers, I woke up to being eaten up by BED BUGS. Do not stay at this hotel. It was disgusting and I left immediately.

This was an absolute gem for me. I was prepared to stay anywhere in the city and when I found an affordable spot near a transportation hub (five minute walk from the Civic Center BART stop), I was booking it, even if not expecting it to be nice at all. But clearly, they’ve done a wonderful job renovating the space and the room and adjacent bathrooms were immaculate, and even stocked with an iron and coffee maker. The staff were lovely people. The area had been a rough area and is not far from remaining rough areas, but Twitter and Uber headquarters are now within a block or two from Ram’s Hotel, and with that comes new amenities, like the Market on Market, which is the most perfect clone of a Whole Foods Market I’ve ever seen. Of course, that market is fairly expensive, but it’s a three minute walk from your room at Ram’s Hotel. The only two things I would change about Ram’s Hotel would be the sign (it doesn’t hint how nice this place really is), and I would make it so that rather than buzzing the front desk to enter the building, the room key could open the front door. Regardless, I will be staying there again the next time I visit SF.

Room was a little dirty as when I looked under the bed there was trash and stuff not from me. Couple amenities missing from a typical hotel experience but nothing to me that made it problematic. It was still a nice stay for the price and area. I would stay again.

I was going to give the Ram's Hotel 4 of 5 stars because it had safe, secure accommodations, that is in an otherwise sketchy neighborhood. The TV, bathroom and shower, and sink in the room were nice. The bed was comfortable, and the clean towels were plentiful.There was no elevator, but I knew that before I booked the property. I was there for 7 nights. I was having a lovely time until the sixth night when I was bitten by a bed bug. It got me good because when I squished him my blood came out of his nasty little ugly body. I didn't sleep well the seventh night because I kept thinking of bed bugs. I think I only encountered one bed bug, but one is too many. So I reduced my overall score to the equivalent of 1 out of 5 stars. Bed bugs affect cleanliness. All week I had been thinking I found my new favorite budget hotel in San Francisco, but now I know I will never book it again.
