Loved staying here especially **during a weekday** staff and guest were polite about the noise and respected closing time at the bar making it quiet after 9/10pm. The restaurant is styled like a sports bar, it has great breakfast selections, not sure about lunch/dinner. The coffee options were 10/10. For a hostel it felt more like what tourist can expect at Hotels: clean sheets, comfortable bed/pillows, towels, great a/c, tv with apps, and your private bathroom. Disclosure rollaway beds are not available here. There’s no parking but I had no issue parking my car on the street. Overall I would stay here again, not sure how noisy it can get on the weekends considering other reviewers but like I mentioned that wasn’t an issue for me during the week.

This was a perfectly situated place to rest between long days at the beaches near by. Clean and comfortable beds. Loved having my own washroom and shower. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in El Caite. Sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet - es gab nichts zu meckern. Man kann in SJDS alles zu Fuß erreichen Wir würden hier wieder buchen 👍

The Caite hotel was formerly the “Barrio Cafe” and hotel. For about $40 per night including breakfast, you can’t beat it. The cafe and restaurant have excellent food, coffee and beverages. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is cold. I don’t spend much time in the room, so I don’t need more expensive accommodations. I have stayed the 3 times before and will stay there again.

This was a lovely little hotel right in the center of town, making it easy to reach every place in the area. My room was clean, comfortable and felt spacious enough to hang out in.

its a cute little hotel. with comfortables beds at the heart of San Juan del Sur and a good restaurant connected to it. They give you complimentary breakfast. I would stay again!

It was a nice place, great friendly staff, really good breakfasts, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water in the morning, close to the beach and very reasonably priced Cant say anything bad at all, well stay there again when I go back.

Good location. Didn’t get the room I wanted. Not sure why the hotel has feather duvet covers in this climate. The world is trying to save energy and you have to have the AC on all the time to sleep. Finally took the duvet out of the cover and just used that.

The downstairs restaurant was DELICIOUS and incredibly reasonable on prices. Open fairly late and a great open inviting feel at the bar. The room was a decent size, noticed only two balcony decks connected to rooms, we had one but never needed it as the third story communal deck is a better view and has hammocks and hang out areas. Would come back again, but also noticed other interesting hotels in SJDS that I’d like to experience as well.

We enjoyed the hotel at Barrio Café. Extremely convenient if visiting San Juan Del Sur. The prices have great value for the rooms. Great access to surfing. Breakfast was very good, and I’m a picky eater. We would book here again! Also the Margaritas were some of the best in Nicaragua!

Excellent Shower with hot water! Excellent breakfast! Super easy check-in & check-out Info said room had 2 queen size beds, but they were only double, so a bit small.

No hassle check in, walked up reviewed the paper and checked into the room. 2 queen beds with A/C and a flat screen tv. Clean room. Had to turn the toilet valve on to get water flowing.

It was located just a block from the beach and near allot of shopping. The restaurant in hotlel was good. They need to add a shelf in bath and shower for toiletries. All elae good, oh, you have to ask for towels and linen change.

Bra kvalite till bra pris
Ett jättemysigt litet enkelt Nica ägt hotel och restaurang en gata ifrån stranden. Bra renlighet, små rum men med underbara sängar och till ett bra pris. Trevlig hjälpsam personal. Så centralt man kan komma i lilla San Juan Del Sur. Eventuellt lite mycket ljud/musik från vissa ställen runt om på kvällen för dom som är känsliga.
