Parking is tight. Ended up having to pay addition money at check in that was not disclosed in the addition reservation which was prepaid. Did not provide each guest a towel and when asked for additional towels asked if we could share. They did end up providing everyone with a towel. That’s just understood. Breakfast was amazing and the morning staff just as amazing. Views were great and we loved being right on the beach.

This is a great location. The view of the Bahia is incredible. Easy access walking to and from the restaurants around is easy. 🌈☀️

Great stay!
Great hotel, very clean, great free breakfast, friendly staff, very helpful owner who knows the area well and helped me with all my questions. Pool was nice and cleaned daily. Quieter area on the edge of town where you can hear the ocean waves yet an easy walk into town and to beach. No problem walking across the sand path a few blocks to SJDS.

Cozy hotel close to the beach
We loved this hotel! Our room was tidy and the staff was very friendly, especially late when we checked in. The breakfast was very tasty and the views impeccable. The only issue was that this was a bit difficult to find. On Google Maps, it looks like there is a walkable bridge from the main part of San Juan to the hotel but that bridge has long been washed away we found out. So the only convenient way to reach downtown San Juan is to walk along the beach which means getting your feet wet. Not a huge issue, but bring sandals if you don't want wet socks!

FIRST STOP at this hotel. It has an amazing view to the San Juan del sur bay. The service was amazing. The host & the staff are friendly and courteous. It’s near the restaurants. 37 years anniversary! Was the bomb! 🇳🇮 🇵🇷 😉. Liz& Jorge will visit again.

Enjoyed my stay
Nice place on the beach. Not luxurious but nicer than most other places in town. Very friendly and accommodating staff, great breakfast and really nice outdoor space.

Bonita situación, hotel mediocre
La verdad es que el tiempo no acompañó pues llovió torrencialmente. Este hotel ya lo conocía de otras visitas años atrás y está igual que entonces, no se mejora ni se hace mantenimiento adecuado. Tiene solo trabajadores ( 1 recepción y una muchacha para todo, esto es limpieza, desayuno etc). El hotel vive de estar en la playa y de una piscina de tamaño contenido. Como siempre lo mejor la chica del personal por su simpatía y eficiencia . El hombre de recepción no salía de su cuartito y no parecía irle con él. Me pareció muy caro 90 dólares por noche sin desayuno, para el nivel de las habitaciones e instalaciones. Las anteriores veces pagamos 50-60 dólares por noche e incluía el desayuno. En fin si uno está acostumbrados a hoteles “ de verdad” les parecerá disparatado el precio para el nivel de lo que es este hotel.

Esimado cliente/ a Debo responder porque esta equivocada, este hotel ha sido remodelado recientemente, hace exactamente 3 meses. No vivimos de estar en la playa, estamos considerados por las puntuaciones de nuestros clientes con un 9 y tenemos 10 años de estar abiertos. Si es caro o no es otra cosa, pero nuestras habitaciones siempre vienen con desayuno incluido, en este caso es una tarifa de la compañía a la que usted le compro, nunca vendemos directamente sin desayuno. Agradecidos por su estancia y su comentario.

Thank you for your comment, we learn every day thanks to our clients, unfortunately there are things that we cannot change. Among our rooms there are small and large, the guest chooses it when he making the booking but the parking is indeed small.

They have a great staff. Friendly and resourceful. Beautiful and clean property. You do have to walk 5 minutes to the center where all the restaurants and bars are at. Overall, great for what you pay for.

Great little hotel!!
This is a great beach front hotel. The hotel was very clean. Small rooms and baths but you spend all your time outside rather than to sleep. We were a little disappointed at first when we thought we were getting individual balconies but the large balconies on each floor was very large and great for happy hours. The staff was awesome and worked very hard for our every wish. The breakfast was the best we have eaten in Central America. Outstanding. Only thing that would have been nice was some screens n the windows. Just a suggestion we feel would be helpful

Awesome small hotel
Loved my stay. The owner is very helpful and sweet. He arranged 2 different tours for me that I loved. He was very thoughtful with my son. The breakfast they serve u is huge.

Muy satisfechos
Mi familia y yo disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía, es un lugar callado, perfecto para relajarse del estrés de la ciudad, el cuarto estaba muy limpio, el staff fue muy amable y atento, el hotel no ofrece almuerzo ni cena por lo que se debe ir al centro para eso y el camino es por la playa, lo que nos dio un poco de temor por la noche pero al final nuestra experiencia fue buena, dormimos muy bien, esta muy cerca de la playa, la piscina está siempre impecable y aseada, el dueño nos trató muy amablemente, incluso nos llevó fruta y jugo mientras estábamos en la piscina, presta mucha atención al detalle y es muy amable. Definitivamente estaremos regresando.

Wonderful hotel with great staff
Really wonderful staff. They were all so lovely. Excellent breakfast and lovely views of the ocean sitting out on the patio. Spotlessly clean. I would love to stay there again

El personal muy amable , instalaciones pequeñas pero limpias y bonitas . Lo que no me gusto muy mal el parqueo pequeño , incomodo,quedan prensados los vehiculos y hacen falta mesitas para el desayuno .

This is the place to stay!
The staff at HC Liri are top notch! We enjoyed our stay so much that we came back early to stay an extra night. It is a short walk to town (5 mins. max along the beach or street) and we loved the location, breakfast and pool area. Shuttles available to local beaches and the views from the hotel veranda are breathtaking.

Difficult location
The staff at this hotel are FABULOUS, but the location is a bit difficult. The only access to the town is walking around a lagoon on the beach. That's fine if you are in beach clothes, but when you want to go out at night in street clothes you either have to get covered with sand or take a taxi quite a long way.

Very nice oceanfront hotel
My wife and I stayed a week here, it was amazing. The owner is great he is there everyday taking care of anything you might need. The property is spotless and the pool always crystal clear and refreshing. The staff was always friendly and wanting to help or get anything you needed. The owner and the person that checks you in speak english which is a plus. The staff really get to know you and just not your room number. We stayed in room 9 which is on the ground level by the pool. I would recommend this room. The breakfast is amazing. There is always coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. The hotel sits right on the beach. We watched the sunset from the pool each night. The hotel provides surf boards to use. This is one of the nicest hotels in San Juan. I am very glad we stayed there. We will definitely stay here again.

Awesome hotel!!
Hotel is nice and right on the beach. Staff is really friendly and rooms are clean and have a/c. Breakfasts are awesome as well. Would recommend this place to anyone going to san juan del sur.
