The room was well appointed, but was hot when we arrived because the curtains had been left open and the sun heated up the room. Also, our room had ants. Breakfast was really good.

This is our first stay at the Outlook Inn and it was amazing. We had stayed at Sister properties at Friday Harbor and Salish in Snohomish and found them all to be equally great. There are other properties as well that we will be trying in the future. We can recommend Outlook Inn without hesitation.

We were in room 44. Great clean, recently remodeled, beautiful rooms. The New Leaf Cafe has _great_ food. Nice partial view. Staff was friendly and accommodating. - No room service. Can’t call reception from your room. We will come back

A place like no other
It’s a really quaint, beautiful place to stay. The views are fantastic, the new Scandinavian decor is lovely, and the staff is really kind and friendly. I’d love to go back when the season is warm.

I do not recommend this place
Definitely not a place I would stay again. To begin with the bathroom is very old and only has a toilet and shower which are small. The sink is in the bedroom. There is no comfortable chair in the bedroom and the furniture looks like it belongs in a budget hotel room. There are no blackout shades. No amenities at all. Certainly no robe and slippers but not even small toiletries you would expect. I do not recommend this place

Clean, with lovely view of the water. Easy walk to little town. Don't wait to eat until late, as there are a few restaurants, and they can close early.

A Special Place on Orcas Island
The Outlook in was a fabulous hotel. Our water view king suite was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. Th small balcony with a view of the sound made for lovely evenings. Parking is very easy and the village of Eastsound is right there. We loved our stay and can't wait to return!

Beautiful property and rooms. We had the harbor view with a fireplace and balcony. Soaking tub. Nice little kitchenette. Contactless check in. Lots of dining options.

The stay overall was pleasant. We stayed in the suites on the water the first night which has surreal views and a spacious interior. We had to switch to a normal room on the second night which was less than ideal. The staff was understanding and did give us a normal room with a balcony. The hotel is in a great location and has a wonderful restaurant. Recommend staying here. And if you can get a room on the water.

There is much good to say about this property! The view from the Bayfront suite is amazing, the staff fantastic, the lovely amenities like gourmet coffee, heated floors, plush robes and so much more was a continual treat and surprise. If I were to make any comment on what they could improve it would be to ditch the area carpet in front of the tv and by the side of the bed as they were stained. It would be so easy to replace with a carpet that was darker. But outside of that, we not only loved it but plan on coming back as soon as possible!

Perfect spot for an Eastsound getaway
I really appreciated how communicative the staff were about room details and check in/out. The room was clean and comfortable and stocked with plenty of coffee. The location can’t be beat. Even though the basic rooms don’t have a view, they’re mere steps away from a stunning view of Eastsound and an easy spot to walk around the town. Highly recommend hiking Mt. Constitution.

Was very impressed that it came with heated towel rack and creamers for the coffee with all the choices to choose from. Also the balcony with a view of the cove was beautiful as was the flower garden out behind the hotel. Extremely well kept. Didn't get a chance to meet any staff but I'm guessing they are all very pleasant.

The location is at a bay side of the island and very convenient with restaurants around. The room is very clean, but the size is small without room service, maybe because of Covid-19. However, it is a bit over priced.

Location is excellent, can walk to shops/dining. Restaurant food was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms was quiet and spacious. Only downside (very small) was having to carry luggage up and down stairs.

This is a wonderful inn with a professional, friendly, and accommodating staff. We had a beautiful room with a bay view. But, as we learned, Eastsound is a small place with limited restaurant options—and the ferry schedule can be a bit unpredictable. But Orcas is a pretty magical place, and the inn is a great place to experience it.

We were given one of the rooms in a building across the parking lot; first floor no views. We stayed here because it was the only pet friendly option there is, but I don't know if we'd stay again. The room felt more like a motel. Cafe/Restaurant is not open everyday, closed on mondays specially, so we were left with almost no dining options and had to turn to the local pub.

Great Stay
We spent two nights at the Outlook Inn during a May road trip along the Washington and Oregon coasts. We are serious planners, so we are always pleased when places meet or exceed expectations. We looked at inns on San Juan, Lopez and Orcas Islands and are so glad that we chose Orcas Island. The Outlook Inn is older but well-maintained. We had a Bayview Suite (No. 53) and would highly recommend this. The room was big and had a sitting area and deck that looked directly over the bay. The bed is a step up above the sitting area and also faces the bay, so this provides a perfect view as well. It was mesmorizing. There is also a fireplace in the room as well as a small food prep area with a sink and fridge. The bed was comfortable and all of the linens, towels, etc. were good. The unit was clean with a large tub (my wife is a bathtub person). Parking is easy. There are stairs to get to the Bayview units. The décor was well-done with the colors and wall art -- very romantic. I went down to look at the Waters Edge units and while I think that they are larger, I do not think that the view is much better since they are lower. But they would be great if available. Check-in and check-out were electronic so we never needed to go to the front desk. The inn is perfectly situated on the main street and it’s an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The town is small but the places we ate were nice, overlooking the water.
