Charged an additional Small amount when we checked in, booked online and prepaid for the room but there was an additional ~$5 for a tax that wasn't mentioned on Expedia. He asked for card and ID, didn't tell me he was charging me anything until I asked why he was running my card. Would have been great if he had at least explained before charging me.

The man at the front desk woulnt lwt me check in. I gave him my id credit card. Reservation number even my phone with the info. He was rude n said he cant help me.

The pool was closed for painting this was not posted on site.. very very disappointing..part of my reason for picking was the pool. Breakfast is bare minimum same food everyday ..staff is very nice..but all and all very disappointing

The staff was friendly and kind. We were advised at check-in that the entrance on side of building had a broken lock, which made the building accessible without using a key. Room was excellent, and mattress and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was a bit limited (no eggs), but we were there during a very slow time. Will chose this property again in the future.

I took my daughter and grandchildren to this hotel for a relaxing night of hot tub and swimming. I don’t want him to lose business but I think he is doing that himself. He bought the property almost 1.5 years ago. It appeared there were only two staff at the hotel besides the owner. The owner checked us in and he was not the most pleasant. My daughter was staying with me and my son in law would pick the kids up after he got off work. The owner looked at me and asked if the kids were going to swim. I said yes, and he charged me an extra 75.00, 25.00 per child to swim. I was slightly irritated but I had promised them they could swim. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The water was dingy and there was dirt in the hot tub on the floor of the hot tub. The jets worked once in the hot tub and then they wouldn’t turn on again. The room was pretty clean, bathroom was clean. There was a condiment lid sitting on the counter in the room. The bed was fine, little firmer than I like, pillows were nice. The two staff members were pleasant, the gentleman was doing repairs around the hotel and the lady was cleaning things, but there is a sign which reads no room service come to the desk if you need something. It’s a pretty big hotel for only two staff to take care of. The breakfast was good, no complaints there. I’m not really one to give a bad or less than nice review, but this place appeared to be on its way to looking tired. The area was fine, quiet no concerns about the area.

Mark it off your list to stay at!
Management was very rude, The halls, elevator, room, everything was dirty, Hair and stains on the bedding, bathroom had dirt, grime, urine stains, hair and shower was clogged. Didn't get the room I paid for because it was "dirty". Key cards barely work, room was never serviced, all around BAD! Mark this one off your list, would've slept in my truck if it wasn't full of business items.

I was overcharged when checking in. Person at counter (asian man) was rude about it and didn't want to hear what i had to say. Bathroom sink was dirty. The bed was actually very comfortable. Hallway floors were also dirty.

This hotel has really gone down hill. Everything was dirty. The hallways. The elevator. The rooms. Our bedding was dirty on the bed and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting-toilet not clean and hair in the shower. Couch had gross stains all over it. Not much positive to share.

i would rate this a 1/10 if i could. we got there and checked in and i went to change the temperature of our room because it was freezing, after about 20 minutes it was just blowing out freezing cold air. We got the room with the jetted tub and there was somehow blood in there, pretty gross in my opinion. Our Remote to the tv didn’t work, not that big of a deal. and our sofa had a wet spot on it somehow. We then switched to a new room, and it wasn’t any better. The fridge was disgusting with who knows what was in it. It was like they didn’t clean the rooms. The floor had bobby pins and other items all over it, and there was hair all over our shower and NEW jetted tub. And finally we just gave up and wanted to go to bed, and there was FLEAS!! it was disgusting

Staff was friendly and nice however it was not vert clean. Our first room had the toliet looked and smelled like someone had diarrhea a few weeks befor and it didn't get cleaned. Our second room smelled like a former smoking room and had dog hair all over. It was too late in the evening to find somwhere else.

Room appeared to have not been cleaned. Pee stains and hair on and around the toilet. Bed appeared to have been made, but other persons hair on pillows. Multiple stains on bedding and pillow cases. Desk and nightstand covered in stains and grease marks. Moldy shower curtain. Gentleman working the front desk was pushy and seemed irritated to check me in. Received another charge on my card even though booked through Expedia. Definitely look elsewhere for another hotel if forced to stay in the area.

If I knew how bad this place was before staying there I would have just got a refund and slept in my vehicle. Barely any stuff and no housekeepers even have signs saying no housekeepers. Highly doubt anything has ever been cleaned in months. Ice machine has black specks in the ice might be dirt might be mold. Key cards barely work if at all.

We found animal poop throughout our room, rude manager when we informed him of it. We were offered to take vacuum and clean it. We refused and he did come vacuum it all up. We were treated like it was an inconvenience and never offered a different room etc. The entry way smelled of cat urine. I am a choice hotels member and this was extremely disappointing for 107.00 on a weekday.

Short staffed and super dirty!
I never give reviews but since I chose this hotel because it was rated 7.2, I thought I should let you know it is not even close to a 7.2!! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The employee that checked us in was talking to his mom on the phone saying he could hear her having sex with her boyfriend so he didn't want him to stay over! Then, since we checked in at 11pm after a wedding we went to bed without really looking at the room. When we got up, we realized the toilet had explosive diarrhea all over it! I then took a shower and realized there were no towels so my boyfriend went down to the front desk to ask for towels and they said they didn't have any clean and that they would bring us some in ten minutes because they were super short staffed. He also told him about the toilet an he said he had no one to clean it and offered to give us some cleaner to do it ourselves which my boyfriend did lol. Then, the overall cleaniless of the room was just horrible which isnt a good feeling. It was not vacuumed, it looked like there was blood on the curtains and other substances on the chair, there were crumbs all over the chair and there was a pizza box on top of the microwave. Then, at check out, no one was at the counter so we asked the guy stocking the breakfast items and he said the front desk guy quit so he said he would try to check us out. My boyfriend had to go behind the counter to help him print the receipt and I would suggest you stay somewhere else!!

Was not able to check in at 3:30pm, did not have any clean rooms. People were being very loud in the pool until they closed, but management didn't quite them down for other people. Breakfast was not ready, juice machine was broke, they were working on fixing it around 8:30am. Room was clean.

When we checked in after we had paid, we were told there was no house keeping to ask if we needed things. They had us read the paper. Then, the elevator broke that night, so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. The front desk person was rude to my husband. The room was clean and nice. Don't think we will stay there again.

My reservation was for 2 queen beds, and when I got to the room it had one King bed and was a Handicap bathroom. I also checked the bathroom to be sure they had a hairdryer because my wife forgot hers, and there was not one on the wall. I went right back down to the front desk from which I had just checked in (and to return the luggage cart) and there was no one there. Rang the bell several times over about a 3 minute period, roamed all around the office and breakfast area, and could not find anyone to question about my room. So, I just left things as they were, and left to eat, and to Walmart to buy a hairdryer. On the way out of the parking lot we saw the desk clerk outside chatting with the owner and his wife who were out for a walk. The next day I went to check out of the room at 3:30 in the afternoon which we new was still a second night stay, and was in our plans the whole trip, but once again, no one at the front desk to check out with. Again, ringing the bell over and over, calling out for someone. No one anywhere, so we just got our things and headed home. I just would have liked to have been able to check out and get a receipt. So, instead, I called the next day around 10:30 and checked out over the phone. I used to stay here a lot over the years, but stopped about 3 years ago because of things like this, and started staying at the Best Western just down the street. Much better place, but they don't accept pets, and we had our dog on this trip. Not next time.

the condition location of the hotel was wonderful only problem I have was I paid I believe a hundred and $49 and the very next day the price dropped in half I feel that there's not very good business

Amazingly Comfortable, Spotlessly Clean
The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the pillows were super soft! Our room was immaculately clean, and the bathroom was literally spotless; there wasn’t a single spot or smudge on the metal shower faucet or sink faucet. Breakfast was delicious. My sister and I drive 3.5 hours to go to Cedar Point every year, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again!
