Everything at the hotel was incredible. It is in the perfect location for someone that wants peace, access to the beach and excellent service. The food was great. The only negatives were Covid related. I was traveling from Beijing, so I could not go on any tours or excursions. The hotel made up for it by being a great place to relax and hang out.

Perhaps the hotel is under renovation as only one wing seemed to be being used. Beds were a little firm, but better than other places in China. Food & drinks expensive, but breakfast buffet pretty extensive. They do not speak as much English here as anticipated. Pool only 4.5’ deep.

Overall I had a pleasant 3 nights stay at this hotel, it was certainly built as a five star, however, it is starting to need some TLC. The staff were amazing, friendly and courteous. I find it to be an excellent location for a true getaway, close enough to the airport, but far away from the hustle & bustle of the city. The public beaches were steps away (across the road) and lots of paths along the ocean for perfect morning/evening walk (stroll). I would recommend.

Cant get wifi as different network..they dont hv googles..youtube...the counter staff although they cant speak english'..but they are vety helpful trying their best to fix the wifi for us..they are sincere and warmth in their service.especially the counter staff ms christina.The lobby cafe serving bbq buffet at dinner time and the staff was vety caring knowig we are middleage adults they suggested to us tt having bbq might be too heaty for us and advise us to hv chinese food in their chinese restaurant which there are better choices of food for us..sure enough my family all of us was down with bad flu and cough..One of the captain noticed me very sick ate halfway going bk to my room to rest..later after my hubby n son finished their course of food..They hv given me free pack of green vegetables with hot porridge for my hubby to bring to me to eat..What a wonderful and thoughtful staff they have in the hotel.very impressive and touching.Keep it up.

酒店的前台服务水平很低，Check-in时间太长了，等了50分钟后有让再等40分钟，投诉了才终于在下午3：30以后进来房间。Check-Out明明有一键退房的安排，但前台服务员还让排队与Check-in的一起排队等。餐厅服务员问她拿餐巾，要了两遍，她居然就忘了，明明有Free早餐的，到了餐厅还要核实，而且第二天居然有核实。就算设施老旧点都好，但服务水平实在不达五星级的标准。

The hotel is too old now. Needs renovation or at least some repair and paint brush to the furniture. Overall neat and tidy. Coffee and tea for breakfast is not upgraded yet. No coffee bean made coffee. Coffee is just like water with coffee colour.

waiting for refund
I booked this hotel for 3 days but I stayed only one night. Smokers are every where, room smelled hard smoke. There was a ashtray in the room. the same time in informed reception desk and asked to cancel my next two days. Dealing with reception was really hard. they spoke very little English and they asked me to contact Hotels.com. unfortunately there was no WiFi at that time. I could write a mail to Hotels.com through business center computer and I asked a refund. Still I am waiting for a reply from Hotels.com, and they said they are still trying to contact the Crowne Plaza. To book your hotel it will take 2 min. but if you have a problem or refund no one will be there for you.

Nice resort but poorly maintained
I was upgraded to a lovely suite but there was mildew in the shower, the sofa cushion was stained and the lights in the living room could not be turned off or on from any switch there. The bed base and headboard were peeling and paint touch ups were visible on the shower ceiling. I wasn't aware that breakfast ended at 10:30 am and arrived to the restaurant at 10:40 when the buffet was being cleared. As I don't speak Chinese, it was difficult to communicate with the employees and they just advised that breakfast was over. Eventually an employee offered to get me some bread. When I returned to my room hoping to order room service breakfast I found that room service does not serve breakfast. I went looking for other options and only the lobby lounge was open. From there I was able to order a lunch dish to the lobby lounge. At check out the employees were friendly but when I requested a copy of the lobby lounge bill, they called over to the lounge and advised the bill could not be found as the meal was 2.5 hour prior but the bar was empty so I did not understand the reason for this. On requesting a taxi at the front door to go to the airport the employees told me they did not know how to get a taxi as they were new. There were several employees and I had to explain to them that they need to find out the telephone number for a taxi company so that they can call taxis for waiting guests. Eventually I did get a taxi. The employees were friendly but did not appear to be trained.

國際品牌水平不足！
三亞之旅全選國際品牌管理酒店，這家比預期的差很多很多，主要是酒店較舊式，房間沙化濕濕破舊感覺，前台服務很好，早餐在餐廳享用，好像去了国內的酒店，一般客人要即磨咖啡要另收費！有位大着肚子的女服務人員服務很好，值得一贊！

总体非常好，就是第一晚下泳池游泳的时候脚踩到一个玻璃，然后解释说是泳池瓷片表面脱落的，正常情况都不会扎到。除了这个，其他都蛮好的，喜欢阳台的大浴缸

Overall, a wonderful well managed resort.
A wonderful resort with great breakfast offering. Special thnx to a great service from Vincen at the desk and Kent, Alvin at the entrance crew. Quiet, great pools, great beach across the back road. Not a walking distance to town but a cab ride is about $10 US. Very close to airport and Nanshan etc. Shuttle service is available though the schedule offered is poor only two trips per day and doesn't start till 10am. Airport pickup should be offer to guess since it is way closure than many other resorts to airport. Free wifi should be strengthen, connection is fairly weak.

Beautiful Hotel with many minor faults
In the room, there is a little card that says " its the little things that counts". Obviously they do not walk the talk. In my room alone, the cordless phone does not work, the USB Charging port on the desk panel does not work, the clock in the bathroom has stopped and the shower rose holder is loose. In my parents room, the door cannot lock. Its is time for a refresh.

Renovation process was still taking place. Misleading to see here on hotels.com as a 5 star hotel when it felt like maybe a 3 or less. I feel like even with the hotels of less quality had less things falling apart. Middle of the hotel lobby had construction going on and most of the furniture was covered and not usable. We tried to check in an hour early our rooms weren't ready with no place to sit and wait. There was barely any air conditioning on. We each did get a complimentary drink in the Business Executive Lounge. I was hot and tired from our train ride in, and just wanted a nice cold beer. I have never been served warm beer ever, and I totally flipped out in all of my American splendor. I have been to poorer countries and served cold beer. I did end up getting a cold beer after trying to translate in my terrible Chinglish. After maybe an hour or so later only one room was ready, and so I just got mine later in the evening. My room did not have a luggage rack or a tall standing lamp as my parent's hotel room did even though it was 2 rooms away from mine. My room also had a broken door knob to the glass sliding door, total security issue. 2 electrical outlets didn't even work, plate outlet coming apart, hair dryer paint peeling off, double lock on the door didn't work, no towel holder for separate toilet and sink area, dusty chaise, blood on the blanket, torn bedskirt, frayed duvet cover, and peeling wallpaper, and barely any AC working. Not worth it and not recommending.

Nice location
Nice location, but staff spoke limited English and some of the hotels facilities such as the spa, some restaurants and boutique shop were not available. On the positive side, the hotel room was fantastic with great facilities and comfort. Overall, if you speak Chinese it's a 5 out of 5 hotel, but if you speak English, it's a 2 out of 5, a 3 if best.

Away from the traffic and noise of Yalong bay!
The perfect hotel to enjoy Sanya at. Much better than the crowded, touristy yalong bay. The staff is extremely friendly and I recommend you order some drinks from the girls in the bar, to practice your mandarin. Everyone went out of their way for me to have a good experience, even if I spoke very little mandarin. Highly recommended!

Bra hotell för avkoppling
Passar perfekt om man vill vila och ha lugn och ro. Vi var i stort sett ensamma på beachen, förutom en hel del brölloppsfotografering. Väldigt lite folk även på hotellets restauranger (vi var där i slutet av november). Tråkigt att det inte fanns mer utbud av restauranger, butiker o barer i området men annars toppen och fräsch beach med fin sand och fint poolområde.

Sanya, Saved the Best for Last
Sanya, China was the last of our four country, Asia vacation. Grand Fortune Bay Hotel was impressive, every bit 5-star. Room was grand and spacious. We had a tub in the balcony and used twice. Very romantic with the curtain drawn. Rooms on the 1st floor can walk straight into the swimming pool from the backdoor. The inclusive breakfast buffet is a must. It has Asian and Western flavors and large selections. We dine at the Noodle Store Restaurant one evening. The pulled noodle was fresh made. It was fun just watching the chef making the noodle. The evening all you can eat outdoor seafood BBQ was also great. The BBQ was also entertained by a very accomplished Filipino band.

(sp?) *LIKE A CEASAR'S PALACE KIND OF DECOR & BAR/POOL ON THE BEACH-RIGHT UP TO THE SEA-LINE! IT IS ONE OF THE BEST UNDER THE SUN!!! MY WIFE & 8 MONTH OLD BABY GIRL ARRIVED @ AROUND 2PM JUST IN TIME TO SPEND NEW YEAR'S EVE THERE IN THE USN, ON THE BEACH, BEFORE FLYING BACK TO THE CHINA MAINLAND ON 1/02/15. WE ALL STOOD IN LINE ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THIS 5 STAR GIG OVERSOLD EVERY LAST ROOM- EVEN THOUGH THEY GAVE US A CONFIRMATION# VIA HOTELS.COM (Most likely, they gave our room away to some local government dude; or wealthy Chinese busniess man/woman- of whom demanded a room from theme even though they were sold out & when this happens here in China, they cannot refuse!) THE MANAGER DUDE WAS NICE AS HE COULD BE IN SUCH A SPOT- BUT HAD NO PLAN-B FOR US AT ALL! SO IN THE END, AFTER 2 HOURS OF TRYING TO GET MY FAMILY OFF THE STREET AND INTO A NICE ROOM; THEY JUST SAID, "NO"! So I had to call Hotels.com from my cell phone & book an inferior hotel some 30 kilometers away! Not on the beach, and not a 5 star! It was nice- and yes better than being stranded in Kenya or Nigeria or Iraq, but it was a total waste of a great sunny day in Sanya- and a huge disappointment to say the least. Great, relaxing get-away
Stayed here after 7 days of extensive sight-seeing in central China. It was perfect because it is a somewhat remote location ($15 cab into DT Sanya), with a wonderful pool and beach access. Although there were only a few comfortable speaking English, everyone tried. Also very helpful securing transit into town, to monkey island (which is 1.5 hrs from the hotel) and the airport. Agree that restaurant options are limited, food at Star cafe was just fine. Prices similar to the states. Bringing snacks, drinks saves money and time. Bath tub on balcony was great surprise! Great place for a mom and her 2 20-something kids.

good but reservation system needs improvement
the reservation was messed up! no room available upon arrival!! hotel claimed didn't receive reservation from booking website! not sure it's the responsibility of which parties! other than that, hotel condition is alright in general. rooms are big and comfort. staffs' manner is good and helpful.

今回２泊の予定エクスペディアを通じて、予約をいれました。　先ず三亜空港に両替をする所がありません。香港、北京、広州等の乗り継ぎ空港での両替をお薦めします。　ホテルで両替は、問題ありません。　もし、両替するのを忘れたら、タクシーでホテルまで向かい、両替の間タクシーに待って頂く方法しかありませ。 今回、何故か予約票はあるが、ホテルに予約が入ってなく（ホテル、エクスペディアのミス？？）エクスペディアに連絡しながら約２~３時間後のチェックインとなりました。しかし、ホテル側が時間がかかるとの事で、フロントで、ロビのバーのドリンク無料券を頂き、男女の生歌を聴きながら良い雰囲気の中で待つことができました。その間ホテルの施設確認等を行いましたので夕食の予定がホテル内に変わっただけで、最小限の予定変更ですみました。最初から三亜を個人旅行で手配した時から、何かは起こると、思いながらの旅行だったので、英語も殆ど通じず、中国語のみと、分かっていたから問題ありません。 他の口コミ通り中国語と英語でキッチリ説明して頂きフロント女性の（あまり期待してい無かった為）対応は満足行くのもでした。 部屋も大変豪華かで、ベランダの丸い浴槽、シャワールーム、トイレ等価格の割に本当に広く綺麗で良かった思います。 プールも何箇所かあり、海も道を挟んでプライベートビーチになっており波の音を聴きながらのんびりできました。 朝食も２日間位なら飽きること無く美味しく頂けました。 ディナーに、海鮮鍋？を食べた時も１８８元と書いてあったので日本語が通じ無いので写真を見てこれとお願いしたら、少し困った顔をして、一度席を離れ戻って来たら紙に２１６元と書いた紙をもって再度現れ、税金分を足した額を提示され、トラブルが無い様に前もって行った事や、年末にオープンした世界最大級の免税店に無料バスが出ていますが、その予約なども、丁寧に対応して頂き、ボーイも含め、好感度が高かった。 本当にコストパフォーマンスに優れていると思います。ホテルでのんびりするのであれば良いホテルだと思います。 街から少し離れて居るので三亜市内観光等も考えて居るなもう少し、市内寄りのホテルをお薦めします。 ホテルの周りには本当に何もありません。 また、次の日、部屋に男性の方がフルーツの盛り合わせを持って頂き（予約が採れてい無かった為？）家内は大変喜んでいました。

美好的圣诞之旅因此变得很无奈
首先Hotels.com与财务海湾酒店的沟通有很大的问题，虽然给我确认邮件说“只需入住即可”，事实是我去入住时，酒店根本没我们的信息，从晚上7点多到酒店，到10点多才解决入住问题。据说是酒店没收到邮件，Hotels.com客服在接到我的电话后，重新于当晚9点左右发传真过去确认入住信息。而且本来定好含早餐，又变成没了，又经过N个电话沟通，在圣诞节的早上在餐厅经过N久的无奈等待，才重新确认含了早餐。 最窝火的是Hotels.com的客服电话在晚上很难打通，从打通电话到有人接电话，中间要等30分钟左右，全程是令人烦心的语音提示和音乐。
