This is a beautiful Art Noveau Hotel in a very good location. It is quiet at night and a short walk downtown for dining and shopping as well as well as to the Harbor area. Parking is a bit of a challenge. But you can find street parking if they dont have room in thier lot. You feed the meter, but there is no overnight ticketing. So this worked out fine. The breakfast that was incuded was fantastic: eggs, sauasages, bacon, waffles, cheeses, fruits, coffee cakes, and juices as well as the obvious coffee and tea. Staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. We accidently dropped the key to our car rental down crack as you enter the elevator . What could have been a disaster for us was quickly dealt with. Maintainence found it intact at the bottom of the elevator shaft and we had the key back in 5 minutes.There were alot of smiling people. They have a nice pool area on the roof with a great city view. gret experience overall.

Das Hotel bietet einen separaten Parkplatz (6€/Tag). Frühstück ausreichend. Personal könnte etwas freundlicher und zugewandter sein. Etwas laut bzw hellhörig in der Nacht. Alles in allem voll in Ordnung.

Great stay!!!!
Great hotel. Wonderful breakfast. Polite and helpful staff. Perfect location - centro with all the cobblestone streets. Room extremely clean and linens/ beds wonderful! Gym is basic but works! Pool is nice. Gym/pool on top floor. Like all hotels in ponta Delgada - parking is a little difficult. To be fair - we didn’t use hotel provided parking. Would stay again in a NY sec!!

Hotel war super. Die Küche für mittags und abends sensationell. Zimmer immer sauber, Personal nett. Waschen der Klamotten sehr teuer und parken kostet. Das ist ein kleiner negativer Aspekt. Die Umgebung ist in Ordnung. Da gibt es einige merkwürdige gestalten nahe des Hotels die zwar harmlos sind, aber ab und an einen ansprechen wegen Geld usw. Supermarkt direkt in der Nähe und sehr zentral gelegen

Great short stay.
Awesome Hotel, had everything that we needed. Nice pool, fantastic breakfast, clean comfortable room, with fridge . The Hotel has been updated without losing its character and old school charm. Close to everything, ocean, restaurants and pubs.

Check in was a disappointment. I emailed asking if Hotel Airport shuttle was available. I received an answer asking for arrival/departure information. "See you soon" No mention of shuttle, so I assumed all was set. I waited an HOUR upon arrival only to receive an answer to my query "NO shuttle available. Take a taxi" When I checked in and inquired, the Front Desk Gal was rude, terse and very flippant. Not a great first impression!!!!!!!

The hotel was close access to everything. You could walk from the hotel to see a variety of things. For the ones you couldn’t, there are tours for further areas of interest. Beautiful staff and breakfast with access to the downtown shops and restaurants or can eat right in the Hotel.

Leider hat unser Zimmer durchgehend trotz lüften sehr muffig gerochen. Der Pool war nicht nutzbar, da das Becken mit Taubenkot verunreinigt war. Auf dem Flur lief uns nachts eine Kakerlake über den Weg. Das Essen abends ist hervorragend. Beim Frühstücksbuffet werden Menschen, die Wert auf eine gesunde Ernährung legen, bei Weißbrot, Kuchen und Waffeln leider nicht glücklich. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und ein super Ausgangspunkt. Rund um das Hotel gibt es viele Parkplätze für 60Cent/Stunde.

Staff was helpful and tried to make our stay the best despite some problems at the beginning of our stay. The hotel was clean and the restaurant had very good food. They even offered gluten free bread upon request.

Very pleasant stay. Staff was froendly, knowledgable of the area and very responsive. Location was perfect to walk anywhere in mid city Ponta Delgada, restaurants, shopping and tours. Restaurant was very good, ate dinner at hotel twice in 5 days. Breakfast was very good, wide variety, both hot and cold. The breakfast room looked out over a beautiful flowered park. Finally, for seniors & ladies traveling solo, I always felt very safe.

It’s located in the center of Ponta Delgada. Walking distance to restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was ok. We had hard time to find a free parking and ended up to pay €6 each day.

The front desk staff were excellent and very helpful. They provided us with an umbrella and beach towels when needed. The food was delicious. Breakfast buffet included a sautéed veggie mix with black-eyed peas that I loved. We tried lunch one day and ordered the tuna in green sauce that was recommended by the waitress and were so glad we did! We are from San Diego and get a lot of good fish at home, but this was the best preparation we’d ever had! The diced peppers and onions in the basil vinegar sauce on top was heavenly. We also tried the passion fruit cheesecake, which was delicious as well, but different than cheesecake from home. The cheesecake was lighter and more the consistency of flan on top of a good crust. The location of this hotel was good as well, with a gorgeous garden in front that made me want to just sit and read all day and look at the variety of flowers and trees. The parking wasn’t ideal, but we got lucky when we arrived in the middle of the night and found a metered spot out front. Then the second day we found a spot in the free lot several blocks away. We were thankful that the staff provided us with a quiet room. We were so busy that we never told them, but the room did have quite a strong mildew smell when the air was off. Also, the air conditioner was far from ideal. We couldn’t get it to point anywhere except directly at the bed, which made it too cold to sleep, so we had to leave it off at night. It was most comfortable bed of our stay!

We enjoyed having room to spread out in our suite and patio area. We appreciated being able to check in early and having our bags waiting for us in the room. Loved the location and being able to enjoy breakfast outside on a terrace located next to a sweet garden area. The buffet was superb!
