We traveled from Philadelphia. This is a beautiful inn on a tree lined street with ample parking. Free shuttle stop close by for transportation into town and river area. Beautiful parks and plenty of restaurants and things to do. Jim and Keith are awesome hosts and helped to make our stay memorable. Would absolutely recommend this inn. We will be back

Our stay was excellent. Keith gave us a tour when we arrived along with very useful information regarding Savannah. The location of the inn was better than expected. There are many small cafés within walking distance with great affordable food. Everything becomes more expensive the closer you get to the river. The room was well prepared and very clean. We would definitely stay there again.

We were delighted we chose The Galloway inn for our short stay in Savannah. Our suite (Caroline) was extremely comfortable and quiet. Jim and Keith are very welcoming and clearly work very hard to ensure their guests have a great stay. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. We enjoyed the walk into Savannah but if you don’t want to walk the free trolley bus stops a few minutes away.

If I could give the Galloway House Inn more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. It was in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood and within walking distance to a coffee shop. Keith and Jim ( the owners) informed us in advance the room we had booked, the air conditioner was not working and put us in the main house. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Highly recommend this inn!!

Worth every penny
This home is insanely beautiful and the location is prime. Jim and Keith are exceptional hosts. The suite was clean, had all the essentials, and the bed/pillows were so comfortable.

Keith had everything in his beautiful property. Clean and very comfortable. So walkable and we would highly recommend Cotton and Rye just a 10 minute walk. It’s a short walk to the park and then on to the waterfront. Our room had everything we needed including bottled chilled water and la very good bed. Overall this is a 5* experience.

Quiet neighborhood setting. Nice area to walk around with quant restaurants in easy walking distance. Free city shuttle bus to near downtown Savannah. We stayed in the upstairs loft floor. Some steps to navigate to the third floor. Nice front porch on the first floor to sit and rest or read.

LGBTQ+ Welcoming and Beautiful
Having never been to this Inn and having no personal recommendations, we booked it based on the pictures and reviews and being LGBTQ+ friendly. We were not disappointed- at all. The house and property are gorgeous. Jim was so easy to work with and very helpful. This place did not disappoint. We loved being within walking distance of the coffee house and restaurants. Also, where this is located it is much quieter than being further into the city. The diversity of the neighborhood is a plus too. It was really nice being able to walk around in this area holding hands openly and just being who we are without experiencing any problems and feeling quite safe.

The Galloway House was perfect for our stay! We could easily walk into Savannah or take the free trolley. The house is beautiful. It was great to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We spent quite a bit of time on the large porch.

Great stay. Very walkable to lots of great neighborhood restaurants. Free trolley bus to waterfront and downtown a few blocks away which was very convenient.

Ideal location for a visit to Savannah.
Self contained self-catering apartment in the loft of a lovely old Savannah house. Ideally situated for a visit to Savannah, with a decent range of restaurants within a very short walk. Advice from owner was appreciated. Steep staircase to loft may not be ideal for some people but no problem for us. Altogether, a great place to stay in a lovely city.

Beautiful front porch setting and lovely street presence. What it was like inside is unknown. We were in a suite called the Renwick that was detached and up a flight of steps in the back of the property. It was inconvenient up and down and the alley access was unattractive. Heat is provided by multiple space heaters...mix and match, barely, got the job done. Neighborhood is mostly typical college rentals with excellent, fun restaurants. Overall a short, 2 night, 'B' stay.

Hi Marlo, thanks for the review. All our accommodations are private with private entrances. You booked the Renwick which that information is provided at time of booking located in the carriage house. Travel and Leisure ranked our neighborhood the most walkable historic residential in America. We live on property and are always available for any questions or concerns. Galloway House
Check in was quick and easy, the owner gave us some great information on places to eat and things to do. It is a comfortable historic home. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a living area, kitchen, bedroom with a king size bed and simple bathroom. Great location near restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommend.

Observation for future renters
There were several things that I want to point out that we’re not small but should have been in an Airbnb or for the price that we paid number one is the Internet kept cutting out very poor and I couldn’t do my work in the time that I had to do it the second thing is there’s no TV in the master bedroom third thing is the sofa in the main room is too small it’s uncomfortable and the shower was very uncomfortable being small and the shower shot out the front of the shower and the only thing stopping the water with the curtain one of the uncomfortable things was that there were too many cameras aimed right at entrances and in the windows and on the front porch there were cameras but not only were on the entrance but on the area where everybody sat

The Galloway Inn is a beautiful property. Attention to detail in every room was very well displayed.. Coming from California this is exactly what I wanted when I think of Savannah. The owners gave good recommendations on local spots to enjoy. They did a great Job on upgrades of the property but still making you feel the history of the home.

The Renwick Suite had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay in Savannah. The suite has a well appointed kitchen, cozy living area, and a very comfortable separate bedroom. Jim, our host, provided us with lots of information about dining options. We also loved the neighborhood, which is quietly distant (but walkable) to the historic area and river walk. Be sure to visit nearby Foxy Loxy and Bull Street Tacos for delicious food.

We Went Back for a Second Time.
There just isn't a better place to stay in Savannah if you're looking for comfort, quiet, convenience, elegance, and room to stretch out! It is a five minute drive to the historic district but that's easy and the parking here is free. Staying here feels like being in a friend's home. We went for a girlfriend's birthday weekend and we are of an age where everyone prefers their own bedroom and bathroom, which we all had. The birthday girl and I stayed in the Remington Suite on the first floor which has a dining room, sunporch, and living room more than big enough to accommodate all four of us; as well as a full kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The other two of our group stayed in the Renwick and Caroline suites which also have kitchens and living rooms. The Remington Suite is light, bright and airy with all the accessories anyone could want; the furnishings are beautiful and carefully curated. In all the suites, the beds, and linens are wonderful, the pillows are comfortable, and the towels are exceptional. There were mints on our bedside tables, fresh flowers in the bedrooms, oodles of bottles of water in the fridge and coffee to grind for breakfast with sugars and creamers. There are many restaurants in the area, cute shops and the Inn has a beautiful back garden, and wide front veranda for people watching. Really, you can't ask for a better experience!
