Wouldn’t recommend…
Not very good. When I arrived, the parking yard wasn’t cleared from snow. Many cars got stuck, including me. The day after, on check-out, problem was the same. Guests had to help each other push the cars and the hotel staff was nowhere to be found. The rooms are very old and worn down. The place need a complete refurbishment. The bed was however alright, and it was quiet. Breakfast was simple but ok.

Fantastic staff!
The staff at this hotel were nothing more than Saviours for us. They helped us with many first world problems with a smile. By the end of our stay we even knew the names of the staff who are incredibly friendly. Thank you so much for making our trip wonderful, especially Josh!

Nice friendly staff with a lovely warm room Pity the tap in the bathroom was loose and some of the wall tiles were cracked or missing The water in the swimming pool was baltic cold and no fun to be in even the so called hot tub was very icey cold Didn't spend much time in the leisure centre mores the pity

Great place to stay at the foot of the beautiful Ben Nevis. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very tired and needs refurbishment; my room 311 it was cold, drafty, and obviously damp as there was black mold on ceilings! .... healthy hazzard!

We stayed for 1 night at the Ben Nevis Hotel. Our stay was very bad, the hotel pictures on Expedia dont match the hotel. Its very run down lack painting and looks old. The staff looked down on you, we sat in the lobby area and all the staff looked at us in a bad way and also to a family with kids they had a look of what are they going to break now. The room amenities were broken. The radiator was on and couldnt be turned off, the telephone didnt even have line,the curtains had tears and looked dirty, the walls had cracks and lacked painting. Ourroom was close to storeroom area and the staffkeptopening and closing the door slamming it every time for HOURS. We didn't felt comfortable in any way and weleft as early as we could. We couldnt change hotels but honestly we saw more hotels around the area that lookes way prettier than this.

nous avions reservé la suite et 48 heures avant notre arrivée on nous informe qu'on ne peut plus avoir cette chambre alors certe on nous a remboursé la difference avec une autre chambre mais nous avons attendu plus d'1h pour avoir notre nouvelle chambre , puis ils avaient perdu la clé .. dans la chambre le chauffage etait bloqué et la bouton pour l'arreter nous est resté dans la main .. le personnel n'est pas du tout à la hauteur , la seule chose bien c'est le spa mais le hammam etait en panne ! bref tres mauvais séjour , je ne recommande pas du tout

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in (I have stayed in MANY in my life.). First of all, it's not as close as was mentioned to the train station and anything convenient & there is limited anything to call it a "leisure club". The place is VERY run down, even the outside paint etc needs to be redone. The receptionist (male - not sure of his name) was VERY rude and snobby. The walk to the actual room we stayed in was long and there were no elevators. I understand it's like that for many of the hotels in Scotland, but we weren't even offered help to get our luggage to our room. When we asked, forget it... it wasn't worth the attitude at the time. Our room was absolutely disgusting. It was dirty, the ceiling was falling down (not just the wallpaper they stuck up there to try and hide the disaster under it. There were bugs crawling out from under the bed. The mattresses were very thin and lumpy, minus the wood slats on the box under the mattress. No internet, the tv was probably 30 years old... no decor, just three crappy twin beds, some broken dirty blinds, a desk and tv. (reminded me of one of those pay per hour hotels that's run down and shown in a scary movie.) It's just a disgusting place that cost WAYYYY too much money for what it was. Don't get lured into staying there. You will be disappointed... I can almost promise you that.

Our experience
The staff at the reception for our check in were extremely out puring I felt like I had to drag information out of them for a process that should have been very simple. Not having the Internet password in the room and having to interact with reception again was anoing. The relaxing moments in the leasure centre and the friendly staff made it a little bit better. As a vegan i didn't have to many options for food and had to travel in town for diner and breakfast. The night before our check out we had problems booking a taxi and again the staff at reception were not helpful at all. In the morning of the check out the lady at reception was extremely nice and she finely help with the taxi.

Avoid staying there at all cost!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a waterfall in the lobby from a leaking roof. Staff rolled her eyes and said “Again?” No “thank you for bringing this to our attention”. Our rooms weren’t ready at our 6:30 pm arrival and we had to wait for almost an hour, together with other equally unhappy guests. There was no WiFi for the entire stay (false advertising) and we could not check in to our flights. The rooms were okay, but the toilet flush wasn’t working properly and the shower was lukewarm at best. The breakfast was inedible, the serving trays full of unappetizing spills and the dining room tables stripped of their surfaces, leaving the stained and scratched felty under layer without tablecloths - it felt like eating from the floor. Items promised to us weren’t delivered and we had to “hike” to the lobby several times to make requests and inquire about the WiFi. Staff tried, but the hotel is extremely poorly managed. Any hostel at half the price has better accommodations, and it feels like the hotel is preying on people who cannot find accommodations because all surrounding hotels are fully booked. It was the absolute worst hotel we have ever encountered - a disgrace!

Very disappointing: no toilet paper in the bathroom; issues with the boiler resulting in no hot water; cleanliness questionable; some staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing (the receptionist was helpful). Not worth the money I paid.

Really friendly staff - facilities look a bit dated, buffet breakfast was very basic. We were placed in a room where the occupant in the neighbouring room clearly needed some sleep - he snored so loud throughout the night (which meant we had to move the beds to the other side of the room just to make it more tolerable) NOT THE HOTELS FAULT.

Hotel is tired and in need of a refurb. It’s understaffed and over priced for what it offers currently. It advertises a pool which hasn’t been open for a while. Rooms are basic, which would be fine if priced accordingly. Staff lack knowledge of the local area and amenities (or can’t be bothered offering any advice).

Fort William is generally a very overpriced area during tourist season and it’s difficult to find accommodation in the centre, hence why I stayed here. I got charged £115 by Expedia, but rate suggested £88 at the hotel! Although comfortable, it was a little dated. It’s also about 25 minutes walk into the town centre, so not ideal if you’ve come up by public transport.

Para lo viejo que está el hotel y las habitaciones ha sido bastante caro. El colchón hacia ondas, el baño no podía ser más antiguo, los grifos, eran dos con un solo caño. El espejo era el típico armario pequeño con espejo de los años 60 que se abría y había un armario. De lo viejo que estaba el hotel daba sensación de suciedad. En el desayuno falto fruta y reponían a cuentagotas.

Disappointing stay, not worth the money.
My stay was disappointing to say the least especially for the price I paid, I won't be returning. The only positive about the stay was the staff on reception. The hotel is extremely tired, dirty, rundown and lack of facilities. I had hoped breakfast would make up for the bad sleep but it was a very low standard, with hardly any services, dirty utensils and low quality products. I don't normally leave reviews but this was bad and feel it is important to share.

Ved ankomst til hotellet, kan vi hurtigt se, at billederne er af noget ældre standard, og at hotellet ser noget slidt ud. Vi ankommer til check-in tid kl 15, men får at vide, at værelset desværre først er færdig kl. 15.30, da rengøringen ikke var færdig med værelserne. Da vi endelig får vores værelser, lever de heller ikke op til billeder på hjemmesiden, og værelserne er meget slidte. Generelt var hotellet slidt, og muligheden for privatliv var meget lille, da der var meget lydt på hotellet, fra både vej, gang og de andre værelser, herunder overboen hvis gulv knirkede. Det levede desværre ikke op til hverken forventninger, pris eller billeder.

Never again.
I can’t remember the last time I stayed in such a poor hotel. The whole hotel needs a massive refurb. The breakfast food was OK but the service was awful. The coffee/tea machines were disgusting. My daughters single room was so small and in a very poor condition. I will never go back to this hotel again.

Nedslidt fugtigt hotel med et venligt personale
Vi ankom til dette hotel hvor check-in gik rimelig hurtigt og nemt og fik tildelt to enkeltværelser som booket. Der er ingen billeder af de her værelset på hjemmesiden og det forstår man godt, fordi de har set bedre dage. Værelserne er ikke blevet malet eller vedligeholdt de sidste 20 år. Derudover er det super fugtige, så alt er en lille smule fugtigt hele tiden. Vi fik to forskellige rum, det ene var hele tiden varmt og det andet var koldt. Det ene havde et skrivebord, det andet havde ikke. Jeg endte med at købe en ventilator for at hjælpe på temperaturen. Sengen var okay, og badeværelset virket rimelig rent, men dog med hvad der lignede mug voksende i loftet. Ikke overraskende i betragtning af hvor fugtigt der var. Personalet var flinke og imødekommende og baren var fin med acceptabel mad. Med mindre det er meget billigt er det her sted ikke besøget værd, og selv om det var gratis ville jeg overveje at vælge noget andet.

Rooms outdated and in obvious need of repair. Obviously no one from management or owners cares about the place they are just wanting the money. No soundproofing - you can hear everything. Windows are rotten, shower curtain doesnt even reach bath but they ask you to make sure its in. Breakfast was OK, pool is nice but the changing rooms are suffering like the hotel - many lockers with doors hanging off and bare wires on hairdryers etc.

No hot water from sink tap, shower requires delicate handling but does work,(after we both got hit in the head with it catapulting off wall🤪) Room serviced at 5pm so we just asked for rubbish taken as leaving next morning! It did the job but for price we paid for 2 nights we expected better. Staff friendly, great views ⛰️

The staff was unfriendly. Room smelled and the pillows were horribly uncomfortable. The restaurant did not have any choice for vegetarians or Muslims like fish. The shower curtain was shorter than the bath tub and the exhaust didn’t work. Overall would not recommend.
