I have really enjoyed staying in Shangri-La, Pudong.
But there is one thing… I would like to know why the refrigerator in my room was locked during my stay.
As soon as I got to my room, I was so excited to see the amazing city view.
After arranging belongings, I checked room conditions; the bed was clean and comfortable, and bathroom was very well organized.
I was quite satisfied with my room.
There was a cabinet which seemed to be broken because I could not open it.
I was sure that a refrigerator was in it (because I could not find one elsewhere in my room…) and as it was a very warm day, I wanted to drink cold water. So I called concierge and explain the current situation. I told her “the cabinet in my room seemed to be broken, I cannot open it.”
Then, a staff came in and opened the cabinet with a key.
I could understand. She might have forgotten to open the cabinet for the next customer or something.
However, very surprisingly, she closed it again after putting out some drinks and snacks saying something in Chinese which I could not understand at all. Maybe she wanted to explain something…
However, at first, it was very embarrassing to be treated as a potential thief/liar who claims “I did not touch anything in the refrigerator” or something…
