Great location, right in the centre of the historic part of town. Beautiful narrow cobble lanes surrounding the hotel. Parking close to the property can be tricky but if you don't mind walking a bit, there is free on-street parking in the surrounding neighbourhoods. Good for a very short stay but I wouldn't recommend anything more. Downstairs entrance area is welcoming but once you walk past the door to the bedrooms, it feels a bit unkept and unloved. The carpets have seen better days, the walls are empty and overall it could use a bit more care. The bedrooms are adequate but cleaning needs to be stepped up. There was quite a bit of dust (ie behind bed), fittings need updating (rusty and bent towel rail in bathroom) and no light-blocking curtains on the windows. Be aware there is live music on Friday night, which carries on until 23:00 and then you can hear music from adjacent venues and from the street, so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. The bed was comfortable. The afternoon/ evening staff that checked us in didn't seem very confident with their tasks but the young gentleman at breakfast was very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good and served promptly.
Overall an ok overnight stay, convenient location close to the centre but not sure I would recommend.
