We found the hotel to be very relaxing and the décor was beautiful. The staff were amazing and were always very polite and would do what ever they could to help. We stayed at Hotel Somadevi Angkor Resort & Spa for 14 days. We had two rooms one for my son and the other for my wife and myself. We spent quite a bit of time in the pool. Part of staying there we had the use of the jacuzzies, which had separated male and female, as well as the stream room, sauna and the use of the exercise equipment which was free to staying guests. A full buffet breakfast, which included a large selection of food. Having worked in the hospitality industry I was very surprised at the large selection on offer and there was something to suit all tastes and very enjoyable. Though we did find the mattress in our room was very hard, but when we approached the reception staff about it they told us they would find a room that had a softer mattress and would also help us move our belonging to the new room. As we had booked two rooms it turned out that our sons room had a softer mattress and he switched with us. I required extra pillows which were quickly supplied. I have to say that Hotel Somadevi Angkor Resort & Spa was and is a pleasurable hotel to stay at and they are in walking distance to Pub Street, Night Markets and the Old Markets or for $2 take a tuk tuk. We will be returning again and will defiantly be staying at this hotel again.
