멋진 프라이빗비치와 약간 실망스러운 룸 컨디션
프라이빗 비치를 가지고 있는게 맘에 들어서 예약했어요. 가보니 페리에서 내려서도 또 한참 차를 타고 들어가야 하더군요. 물론 해변은 더할나위 없이 좋았습니다. 호텔레스토랑과 바도 괜찮아요 직원도 친절하구요. 서비스가 좋습니다. 전반적으로. 하지만 룸 컨디션이... 가격에 비해 너무 떨어져서 좀실망했어요. 헤어드라이기도 없는 욕실이라니...

이번 시아누크빌여행은 지역이나 호텔에 대한 정보가 부족해 모험적인 자유여행으로 시작 되었다. 숙박은 3곳을 이용했는데, 2곳은 시나누크빌 시내쪽에 한곳은 속사리조트를 정했다. 가격면이나 위치에서 코롱에 위치한 속사를 중점으로 여행을 시작 하였다. 그러나 속사리조트에 대한 너무나 부족한 정보 부족으로 리조트에 들어 가기부터 험난한 여정이 시작되었다. 우리는 소사리조트와 메일을 통해 65부두라는 곳을 알았으나, 세렌디피티에 위치한 항구에서 코롱뿐만 지역섬들을 운행하는 배들이 있다고 해서, 전날 1인당 섬 왕복 20불에 예약을 하고 당일 항구를 가보니 속사리조트는 코롱섬에서 반대편에 위치해, 속사리조트에서 운영하는 배를 이용해야한다는 것을 알았다. 금액은 편도 20불 왕복 40불이며 배도 이곳이 아니라 변두리에 있는 65부두라는 곳이라고 한다. 따라서 거기를 가려면 시내에서 툭툭이를 타고 또 이동해야 한다. 우리는 일단 세렌디피티에서 코롱까지 가는 배를 타고(1시간) 도착하니 속사비치까지 이동할 사람들을 모우는 호객행위를 하는 보트택시가 있었다. 금액은 편도 8불, 외국인 6명이 타고 50분정도 이동하니 속사비치에 도착했다. 속사비치는 속사리조트공화국 같은 분위기로 길은 케리어는 절대 끌수 없는 모래로 되어 있다. 도착하면 형식적인 리조트 소개, 방까지 이동시 벨맨 없이 손님이 직접 이동해야 하며, 방은 조그마하고, TV는 물론 없다. 주위에는 가게가 없어 미리 간식거리를 사가지고 가야 겠다. 저녁에 생맥주를 시켰는데 시아누쿠빌에서는 0.5불-1불 하는 것을 여기서는 2.5불을 받고 있었다. 섬이라 그럴거라 생각하겠지만 코롱에서도 병맥주가 1불하고 있었다. 우리는 다음날 택시보트를 25불에 예약하고 코롱까지 왔다. 넉넉히 4시배를 예약하고 해변을 다녀보니 바로 속사리조트에서 운영하는 배를 이용하지 않은 것을 다행이라 생각했다. 다시 정리해 보면 속사리조를 이용하려면 시내에서 툭툭이를 이용 65항구에서, 리조트만 왕복하는 40불하는 배를 이용해야 한다. 따라서 적어도 한사람당 45불 정도는 추가 이용해야 한다. 숙소주변은 가계등 아무것도 없으니 간식 및 맥주등을 준비해가면 좋을 듯 합니다. 또한 속사리조트만은 조금 민민한 는낌이 있는데 코롱을 방문하면 세렌디피티해변과는 다른 뭔가가 있습니다. 아주 작은 초등학교도 방문할 수 있고, 분위도 좋습니다.

Smukt sted når man lige kigger på stedet, men kigger man omkring stedet flyder det med affald. Vi var oppe og spørger om nyt sengetøj, da det var mega beskidt( det var næste sæt også). Sengen var ulidelig at ligge i, den knirkede helt vildt og var hård som et bræt. Når de skulle skifte brugte glas, blev de skyllet på badeværelset( da jeg kunne se spor af det jeg drak dagen før, samt glasset var det samme) når man skulle bestille noget eller have tjenerens opmærksomhed, var der større chance for at se en haj i vandet .

Unbedingt Taschenlampe + Mückenschutz mit nehmen!
Der Weg zum Haus durch den Sand und nicht beleuchtet, ohne Taschenlampe durch Gebüsch sogar gefährlich.Die kleinen Mücken waren unglaublich aggressiv. Kein Moskito Schutz im Zimmer (trotz Angabe in der Beschreibung), auch kein auf der Veranda, die Stühle dort, sehr kantig, hart und unbequem. Essen für längeren Aufenthalt sehr monoton, da nur als Menu.Celeste war immer hilfsbereit und die Beste im Team.

On three occasions during our 7 day stay, only 1 towel was left by housekeepers for the two of us. This was brought to their attention after the first time. Restaurant staff were not very attentive. Twice we had to ask for breakfast menus. Staff seem to be staring into space a lot.

In general, it seems to be good. One thing,I have to mention is the transportation bet. Sihanoukville and the beach. The boat was so small and not comfortable. And the hotel location was good and surrounding environment seems to be good but the management was much to be improved. Esp. restaurant service and food was not good enough.

what can i say an island paradise, excellent staff,excellent rooms,clean well laid out a little bit rustic, but has all u need, good food, a little bit pricey as in american dollars but there is a near-by village thats cheaper if u wanted cheaper, the accom there looked a bit to rustic for my liking. activities were a little sparse as we r not water lovers water, i would have liked some quad bike to explore on not scooters.but apart from that an island paradise loved it

Absolutely stunning beach, purest white sand with beautiful blue sea. Accommodation is good, although a little dated. Food is very good although very expensive which is quite frustrating because prices are inflated 3x as much as normal. Also paying for the speed boat to the island is totally uncalled for especially as your paying so much for food and drink once you arrive, the hotel should think about stop charging for this, it’s a little bit greedy to expect customers to pay $40 per couple per journey. All in all a great hotel and stay, just more expensive than it needs to be.

Best beach, best room
We stayed in the Chalet, Sea View room, which is a freestanding little building right on the beach, overlooking the water. It was incredible. We sat on our balcony watching the ocean all day. 20 Steps and you're in the water! The resort is very charming, the staff friendly, the breakfast hearty and the Khmer food in the restaurant very delicious. Happy hour is great! They do their best to keep the beach clean, although when we visited in May it was still off-season, with the ocean dumping an incredible amount of trash on the beach each day. I can't fault the resort itself, it's of a high standard while it still has that independent charm (it's not a chain hotel). We rode around the island on a scooter one day and I must say that the beach at Sok San is the most beautiful. The little town nearby is quaint (although not pristinely clean). I could have stayed for another week!

A perfect break to nature and hot seas
I don't understand the negative reviews and comments that some have left. This place has the most incredible seeing on the island, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. If you put a little effort into making some of your own plans, there are some incredible experienced on offer all around the island. Prices aren't always cheap but the experiences justify posting regular western rates. One note worth mentioning though- government corruption is taking its toll on the island, and stunning hardwood rainforest jungle is being cut and burned in secret right now. I've witnessed first hand the disappearance of 25% of the island's jungle in the past month. I encourage a trip to Koh Rong before the magic is gone.

Tres beau site, plage magique. Les bungalow sont propres et bien décorés, mais pendant notre séjour 4js 3 nuits il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude. Ils n'ont pas su rétablir la situation c'est dommagne. La nourriture du Resort est moyenne. Le BBQ est top mais pas assez varié. Pas de poissons grillés. Le resto du Resort est convenanble mais il n'y a pas la touche (fait main) c'est deja du semi-collectif (buffet etc....)

A large hotel
A large hotel. There where not enough sunbeds for all rooms. Had to reserv them early in the morning. Very nice beach.Clean outside the hotel. Food was good. Some queue for breakfast. A small village close with restaurants. The excursions where expensive.

Amazing spot overpriced hotel
Absolutely amazing beach and location - and I've seen my fair share of beaches and locations. Now to the hotel – firstly, our garden view room was the only place in Cambodia we couldn't get wifi, I got better wifi in a rice field. Hopeless. Secondly, the bed was so hard that we slept on our inflatable lilos We had heard this bed issue mentioned in previous reviews why has the hotel not resolved this hard mattress madness? Thirdly, slow staff, but this is standard across Cambodia so didn’t bother us. Finally, the best dining and drinks is 100% in the village just down the beach, follow the lights, check out The Moon Restaurant, try the Fish Amok and Pad Thai, & frozen cocktails some of the best food & drinks we've ever had. Now a tip, Sok San is a bit isolated party wise, but it's easy to get a motorbike to give you a lift in to Koh Toch for about $5 - $10 US ask them to drive slow though, we saw an accident and saved some local guy's life (true story) #heroes. P.S Check out Koh Rong Samloem - Saracen Bay, it's awesome. P.P.S We left our two lilos there, feel free to use them as mattresses and to frolic in the ocean.

Good place on a white beach!
Nice resort at very excluded! Rent the Roomba with seaside, thet come with sunbeds, otherwise you have to go up early and be in the towel race for a sunbed. Friendly staff, but lacks the details and finess you expect. Good food in restaurant but extensive, good thing there is a tiny village nearby with a few nice places to eat. (Very dark way there though). All In all nice beach and water and av very good place to relax!

Nice stay at Sok San beach resort.
The property is very well located on Sok San beach and its probably the best hotel in Koh Rong at this moment. They have their own private jetty in sihanoukville from where their speedboat brings you straight to the hotel reception. Its a very high price of $40 per person both ways. The property itself is quite nice but not luxury. 4 star at best. We stayed in the deluxe loft. Very spacious rooms. Service is average. Dont expect very good wifi.

Mycket bra boende, trevlig men opersonlig personal. Varierande och bra frukost. En kamp om att lyckas få en solsäng när det var fullbelagt, alla var upptagna redan vid 7 på morgonen. Skyhöga priser att äta eller dricks på resorten. Äckligt i frukost restaurangen då den var invaderad av flugor, borde rengjort borden med rengöringsmedel. Fantastisk strand och blått klart och varmt hav.

San Sok Beach Resort is one of the most picturesque locations I have ever visited. Beautiful white, sandy beach and turquoise water. The staff are friendly and the place is well maintained. Having said that though, the standard rooms are very small and there is not much room around the comfortable bed. WiFi was also quite slow compared to other Cambodian locations we have visited. If you stay at the resort, I would recommend that you drink and eat in Sok San village, as it is much cheaper than the resort. Beers at the resort are $3.50 and you can get one in the village for $1.00 or $1.50. And, it is only a couple hundred meters away! Overall, a fantastic place to stay.

Beautiful location, great room on the beach although close to your neighbours, bed a little hard. Staff very friendly n Valene guest relations absolutely fabulous. Breakfast wa good mainly western food with good coffee n small selection of juices, overall the food at hotel was a little more expensive than I was expecting so we ate in the local village mostly. Would definitely go back overall great stay 😎

Has potential.
We stayed at this resort during the slow season. The cost of transfer from Airport to island was steep with car at 35 USD per trip and boat at 20 USD (one way) per person. The boat used was not the one from website. The real discontent began when the hotel began cutting costs. Breakfast on the second day was limited to an a la carte choice without notice with staff trying to refuse combinations such as pancakes with eggs. Lunch and dinner menu was the same and despite being on a private island, these prices were too high for the small portions given. The bartenders needed a lot of guidance making cocktails and fruit juices were not fresh as advertised. When asked about the nearby village, the staff said everything was closed. We later found out it was because they didn't want us eating there as they would lose business. The food in the village at The Moon restaurant was amazing and affordable! I have a sensitive stomach and never got sick. A meal ranged from 4 - 8 dollars max and would include choice of meat or seafood with true Khmer flavor. It also had the White Bar run by a rather weird but sweet Swedish guy We were prepared to deal with mosquitoes, not the flies during meals and the ants in the room. The beach beyond the hotel front was heavily littered. Despite this, the rooms were clean and most staff were very sweet (like Danny and Mouk.) We would return in the peak season to do activities we couldn't due to rain. The resort is good but there's room for improvement.
