The property is absolutely beautiful and sits right on the lake. Our room overlooked the lake and mountain range, which made the quiet, quaint experience so much better. The grounds had lots of places to play, fish and sit in peace. We would stay here again if ever back in the area.

It was beautiful! I hate there wasn’t a restaurant at the facility and not much to choose from in town.

The pool was one of the reasons I booked the retreat. When we got there it was closed and said maybe ready the next day. It was opened the next day but still green and nasty. You would think July 4 th weekend the pool would be ready for guests. On a lighter note, the room was perfect just wish it had been on the lake side.

ConnieI would first of all like to apologize we have had some pool issues for a variety of reasons. We were attempting to get everything taken care of and had a company onsite 3-times last week to help get the matter correct the issue arose rather quickly about a week prior and was not a fast and easy fix unfortunately. I realize the pool was not the "blue" we normally have but because the levels were all back to normal just the coloration off a bit decided to go ahead and reopen. I will be happy to speak with you directly regarding this and hopefully be able to provide a better experience for you.

Def a place to getaway to on the lake. We went during a quiet time so few if any other guests. Dissapointed on kitchen options with room in ways. Didn’t receive the fresh cookies either .. overall great job Corrientes for our getaway

Nice quiet stay.
We really enjoyed the quiet relaxing nature of the retreat. Our room nicely decorated. Nice to have a small kitchen area. Balcony overlooking the lake was nice! Only downside to our stay was the bathroom had one switch that turned on vanity lights and vent over toilet which sounded like a jet plane! Would b nice when workout the vanity not to hear all that racket the whole time.

The view is simply spectacular. This is a great option for a work traveler such as myself who wants to buy and cook food for extended stay. The walking trails are lovely and the craft center is just minutes away. I will return here! If you want more eating options, it may be worth considering driving to Cookeville but if you want to be more local-this is the best place!

Beautiful property. The lake view is wonderful. Furniture was comfortable and clean. Looked remodeled with new floors and bathroom. But still had old ac and appliances. Everything worked well. We will definitely stay here again.

This place is so beautiful! The rooms are very spacious and so very clean. The beds are comfortable. We were able to rest very well because it is so peaceful. The staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. We love it here and hope to come back very soon. If you are in this area, I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful, quite, family friendly property. Staff were more than amazing. If you are in the area and would like a nice place to stay with your dog or family then this is it! They even have a boat dock so you can keep your boat in the water overnight. For those of you who have kids, this is a very hilly property. I found myself going up and down the steep embankments several times instead of going the long way around using the road. It was a good workout. LOL The place could use some maintenance however. I saw several boards that needed replacing on the buildings along with part of the dock that needs repair. The horseshoe area also needs help. Other than some minor things, our stay was wonderful and I would recommend this place.

Quiet Escape
We just wanted a short getaway to explore sights east of Nashville and came upon The Retreat at Center Hill Lake. Our stay was short and absolutely peaceful. Center Hill lake is lovely and the retreat occupies a beautiful location. We hope to come back again. Please note they are an alcohol and smoke free campus.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Retreat. It was very peaceful and quiet; a very relaxing getaway that felt like we were miles away from civilization but were conveniently just a few minutes off the interstate and away from historic downtown Smithville. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we were surprised to have amenities like a two burner stovetop with everything we'd need to cook a meal (except the food!). The staff was very accommodating & helpful and the continental breakfast was excellent! We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful setting
We enjoyed our stay at the retreat. Fabulous view of the lake from our room. They had extensive amenities in the room and it was very clean. Lots of towels and toiletries - coffee in the room which was great. The property itself is dated; HVAC units in the room cooled well but were noisy; not a lot to do about that. Mattresses could use an upgrade. Otherwise good visit..

Peaceful resort
Property was peaceful and clean. We stayed the weekend with my 13 year old son. He had fun exploring and climbing the hills. The beds are pretty small and very soft but still slept fine. Overall it was nice.

Our room was amazing very clean andcthe staff was very nice and helpfull . great location and just a couple minutes walk to the lake or pool. I would recomend anyone stay even just for one nite you wont be dissapointed.

I am sorry to hear this room did not meet your expectations. The entire lodge was remodeled in the spring of 2018. This included all new furniture, flooring, bedding and mattresses. The property is nice - right on the lake. Front desk staff is super-nice. The christian-based policies are a little much, in my opinion (had to initial a weird pledge to not smoke or drink while on property, literature in the room that suggests single-parent homes are the cause of much of society's ills, as well as a book written by the founder that discusses his religious journey). All of that really made me not want to return or recommend this property.

Secluded and peaceful setting. Room was clean and the staff was super friendly. They even gave us chocolate chip cookies at check in.

Beautiful Updated Rooms!
The Retreat at Center Hill is very nice. Beautifully decorated and update rooms with lots of attention to details.....Comfy plush beds and soft sheets, and extra towels and pillows. Great location right on the water with it's own boat dock and launch ramp. Only negative is the boat dock and launch ramp need repair. But we will return and highly recommend this place!
