Good but need better located power outlets
It was ok. Good breakfast. However the power outlet was in the hall and not next to the bed. The power outlet that was at the desk was covered due to a panel of the desk.

The tram noise is shocking as the hotel should have triple glazing to stop the noise. Outdated decor in poor condition. Staff were very good though.

Et charmerende hotel beliggende i relativt rolige omgivelser 10 minutters gang fra "centrum". Receptionen var yderst imødekommende og informativ. Brødet i morgenmadsbuffeen er nok det dårligste vi nogensinde har prøvet.

Hotel is centrally located right along the main street. It was noisy due to the city train/tram passing by until 10pm. Property has an old charm feel. Breakfast was excellent.

I recently spent 2 nights at the Rocentro Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a small hotel, but the location is good, one can walk from there to Sofia city center. The rooms were rather dated. No English TV. Also the bathroom could have been cleaner, mold around some of the tiles. Amenities are almost non-excistant. The hairdryer is the ancient type with a hose and takes forever to dry ones hair. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special, but enough to start the day. The coffee machine dispensed a fairly decent cappuccino. From the online description there is a bar, but what they consider a bar was laughable. Behind the hotel is a restaurant and another one across the street named Mamin Kolio. This is a lovely place with Bulgarian country decor, Bulgarian music and good food. There is also a convenient store close to the hotel and several takeouts. The lady at reception was very nice, pleasant and above all helpful. She even offered to help me with my luggage to the taxi.

The room I was in smelt really bad of damp and mold, so much so that I had to leave as I couldn’t sleep at all, the WiFi was also terrible. Definitely shouldn’t be classed as a 3 star hotel.

Pluses and Minuses
An older type hotel that has not stood the test of time. The water in the shower took at least 5 minutes to get to a medium temperature and the pillows should have been replaced years ago. On the plus side, it is actually good value for money for those on a budget and the breakfast was plentiful.

Hotel essenziale ma rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo, colazione continentale buona. Non rifanno il letto ma cambiano gli asciugamani ogni giorno. Vicino a varie fermate del tram e bus quindi ottimo per gli spostamenti sia a piedi che con i mezzi; purtroppo le stanze che danno proprio sulla fermata (come la mia) sono un pò rumorose anche se la vista dal balcone è molto carina perché affacciano sulla piazza. Personale cortese e disponibile.

Excellent base to experience Sofia, short cab or tram ride from the train and bus stations. Strong shower and wifi. Clean and secure. Breakfast a bonus. Staff very helpful. Recommended.

Good but could be better
The carpet had some bad stains on it, so could have done with a clean and the pillows were thin (we did find some thicker pillows in the wardrobe), otherwise it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location and breakfast was decent to say it was free.

Nice hotel in Sofia center.
Nice hotel on a good location, you can go walking everywhere. The english speaking staff help with transfer from/to airport. The carpeted room was good with big windows, TV only in bulgarian, minifridge and it was very clean. The breakfast was ok, could start earlier than 7:30 am and have diferents breads and cakes.

Great bed and breakfast on a budget.
My room looked exactly like the one on the picture. Nice, clean, in a mint condition as good as a budget hotel can be. Free breakfast downstairs makes it even more convenient. Location is perfect. It is literally 2 blocks away from everything.

La struttura è a meno di 10 minuti a piedi dal centro Vitosha. Il quartiere è tranquillo. La connessione wifi non eccellente in camera ma stabile. Il check in e il check out sono stati veloci. La camera molto piccola ( pochissimo spazio tra la il letto e la scrivania) e trascurata. Il piumino sul letto era visibilmente molto usurato. Molta polvere. C era una grande ragnatela all' uscita del balcone. Sulle mattonelle del bagno c erano residui di intonaco e la vasca presentava ai lati residui di silicone diventato nero. Non c era il tappo della vasca e quindi si poteva fare solo la doccia. Non ci sono prese elettriche ai comodini o in bagno. La colazione non molto varia ma con costante rimpiazzo.

Our room was a reasonable size, and had a small balcony. Breakfast had a variety of foods. Reception staff were helpful when we asked for directions and restaurant recommendations. The tram that runs in front of the hotel was quite noisy at night. The hotel is relatively close to the pedestrian shopping street and landmarks.
