We had a great stay here, it was great value for the price, it just needs a little TLC in places. The bed was very hard though, but when we asked for extra pillows to help the staff were very quick to get them to us. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much.

We booked the luxury room with the balcony and loved it. The room was very basic but so big! And the views were beautiful.

Excellent sized room for the price. Bar and restaurant on site and outdoor benches to enjoy the sun. Beds very comfortable and conveniently situated for the caves with a good pub over the road and pretty easy walk to Wells. Shower was a little hard to get going but we got there in the end!

A nice hotel, quite basic but overall a nice base for visiting Wookey Hole Caves. Food was excellent although choices were limited at dinner, breakfast menu was good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were that there are no mini fridges in the rooms (we needed one for baby milk) and they couldn’t supply one and we had to book a table for dinner which was fine but we were allocated a very late slot and found that there were several empty tables when we went to the restaurant 45mins before our slot but we were seated early with no problems however two of the menu choices were unavailable which wasn’t great with a very limited menu.

I cannot fault our room/suite, except the creaky floorboards around the bed and the luke warm shower (great shower otherwise). The bed was really comfortable and we slept pretty well and made use of the massive tv in the living area, which was set out very nicely with a comfortable sofa. The general area inside the hotel was very nice, but some of the decor could do with a tidy up (lumps out of the wall where cleaning trolleys had obviously hit many times). The staff were excellent under the pressure of the Easter guests, but copped well. Food was good, although a little more choice would been good. We have stayed many times over the years and will be back many times in the future.

Hotel room had a few wonky things, but was spacious and clean. Staff were absolutely lovely, particularly the reception staff. Food was scrummy and breakfast choice was plentiful. However dinner service was very slow, they could definitely use a few more staff at dinner.

As always the staff were very attentive and friendly. There was a slight hitch with the allocation of our room. This was solved quickly. Unfortunately our room was quite cold.

Quirky hotel with the most amazing staff! Love this place, beautiful setting close to Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar. Food is reasonably priced and recommended! Great breakfast! We’ll be back!

I wasn't expecting the hotel to be very good as the price was so reasonable but I was completely taken aback, the rooms where spotless, the bedding fresh, beds comfortable and breakfast was lovely! Will return!

Staff were very helpful as our travel time got delayed. Warm and cosy and can’t rate the staff enough, nothing was a problem. Parking was plentiful and we enjoyed taking a evening walk whilst feeling safe and in nice surroundings

Lovely Place to Stay rooms were well equiped with what was needed Food and Service was outstanding 10/10 for the cook and Staff too. Only down side was games room not enough to keep kids entertained mybe get a 2p coin maching and some games that actually worked but that was only downside i will definatly go bk

Lovely place to stay
Friendly staff, nice room, beautiful quiet part of the country to stay. If you fancy some adventure or cave exploring you cant go far wrong. Great cheese as well

Clean room, friendly staff. Restaurant didn’t have full menu availability but I assume that’s down to being out of season - would look to return in the summer.

Dreadful experience. Virtually no public transport and when there was it was never on time. Taxi companies fully aware of this and take full advantage tariff wise to ridiculous levels. Eg 12 mile fare costing £60.

We love the hotel but the room this time was very dirty, bed uncomfortable flat pillows and damp smell in barhroom curtains were not great condtion looked old and need updating We stay a few times a year and this is first time wasnt happy with room the rest of hotel and staff always pleasure

This hotel is basic but clean and functional for our one night requirment. We had a meal on arrival and oh my days they were massive and lush. A bargain to.
