Favorite place to stay
Location is awesome! The staff is wonderful! We stay here every time we come to the Healdsburg area. The physical hotel just needs a little update. Our room, which we have been in two times before and did not request - still did not have a full length mirror and hooks. The bathroom has a huge clawfoot tub and a pedestal sink - there is no place to put anything. Honestly - probably no one has used that tub in 10 years - get a counter put in and remove the tub - not really a selling point for this room.

The property is beautifully situated as part of the Healdsburg Square. We walked and did not have to drive to shop and eat. Restaurants and shops were great. And it is quiet and comfortable room just to relax and chill. We would return to stay.

We loved the breakfast and Daniel, the chef, was extremely pleasant and most helpful with not only the food but with answering any questions we had about the area. Also loved the fact you had an actual winery on site for the wine tasting in the afternoon.

Love the staff, particularly Kylie & Chris on the front desk, and Kylie in particular for her help in advance of our stay, etc. The main level lobby is lovely and the rooms are well decorated, nicely appointed, and well maintained. Pet peeve: hotels rarely have enough hangers in closets. It would save bothering staff for it if you put enough hangers for two guests when you are servicing a couple. SUGGESTED CHANGES: ROOM 3 Our room #3 has no chest of drawers, just one bedside table drawer on either side of bed. Suggest a chest of drawers, narrow and tall, placed just to the left of the door to the bathroom. It would be a huge help. SUNROOM Because the rest of the Inn has been updated so well, the lack of an update in this room make it feel old and sad. Shiny unattractive yellow walls, tables and chairs that do not go with anything in the rest of the hotel and are heavy and "blah" does NOT go with the upscale wine country feel of the rest of the Inn and surrounding places. I would change the wall color, and use flat paint, replace all tables and chairs, and upgrade the presentation of the wines and glassware (often cloudy and scratched glass). The food itself was terrific, but again a nicer piece of furniture to display it on would help enormously. Also, the upstairs kitchen is a wreck. I don't think hotel guests should be seeing that. STAFF there is helpful, friendly and terrific though and these minimal changes will elevate the whole Inn to a consistent level. LOVE IT

Really convenient location, beautifully remodeled common areas. Spacious room in Carriage house. Just garbage truck noise in morning the day we were there but that may happen anywhere. Breakfast was just ok, very basic and simple.

Healdsburg Inn getaway
Quaint inn on the square. Room was small but lots of character. Staff very helpful and attentive. Wine and cheese on second floor from 5 to 6 pm. Nice view of town square. Included breakfast was great.

Carriage house room12 is not in the main building and via an open walkway when raining. The room itself was nice but a bit quirky. Breakfast had limited options and supply not great even at 9am. Close to many restaurants.

Very Convenient location right on the plaza. walking distance to all shops and restaurants and bars. Easy to get to all the wineries in the russian River. Tasting rooms right on the plaza.

We loved our stay and our room 10, faced the back of the property and was very quiet. The only caveat is the bathroom has little space to put cosmetics or space for a guy's shaving kit. This was a small sacrifice for the overall accommodation being right on the Square, fabulous breakfast and prices lower than their counter parts at the same level. This is not a large hotel, but sits right next door to the Matheson...the uber "in" spot with a great bar and 2 restaurants. We loved our stay.

Just a fantastic location. The hotel is getting updated and it’s looking very nice. Some of the details still need attention, and it is an old hotel so it’s a bit more “creaky” than you may like. No parking on site but for us it was easy to find parking a few blocks away. Staff were really nice and accommodating.

Loved our comfortable 2nd floor room with windows that overlook the town square. Nice reading , relaxing chairs. Not enough drawers for unpacking …very small size tv… …could use new bed…and bathroom layout could be improved.

Lovely Victorian Inn directly across the street from the Square surrounded by pretty much all the good restaurants and shops. Short walk to everything. Hotel has an elevator.

Wonderful in so many ways
We loved the hotel with two minor inconveniences. First the good…Room #4 was wonderful—spacious, plenty of drawer and hanging space; great bed, wonderful wi-fi mini fridge and fireplace. The view of the park is wonderful. Morning breakfasts were delicious and afternoon wine tasting very nice. The staff could not have been more courteous, professional and friendly. The drawbacks although minor is something you should consider—there is no hotel parking and around the square parking is from 2-3 hours between 9 am and 5 pm. We had to move the car during our stay a few times. Also four rooms face the square and at 6:40 am the street sweeping trucks make a good bit of noise for about 5 minutes. These are slight inconveniences and we’d stay again, perhaps trying room 7, which faces the back of the hotel and has it’s own outside private deck. I wouldn’t stay on the first floor rooms which are right off the lobby and probably have some noise issues with people coming and going. But this is a wonderful hotel in the perfect location for exploring Healdsburg. Just know what to expect and I know you’ll love the hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel right on the square
Beautiful boutique hotel right on the square. We had a king room facing square. Very spacious, sitting area, fireplace. Loved the huge bathroom. High, high ceilings. Would describe the upstairs where rooms were as elegant. All employees were wonderful. Nice wine and cheese time in afternoon. And delicious breakfast in morning. Will definitely stay here again.

The location can't be beat right on the Plaza. You can walk to every restaurant and shop the downtown area has to offer. It was nice to have coffee and breakfast included daily. The rooms had old world charm that you don't get with more modern properties.
