This is one of the best refurbished old motels I have ever stayed in. It was done well not just half hazard. Would recommend highly to anyone.

It's Sonora, TX. You get what you get. But...urine under and behind the toilet seat, used beverages in the fridge, single-pane windows and gaps in the door, so not sealed at all, the wall AC/Heat wall unit was loud as heck, the bed only marginally softer than sleeping on the ground, and the window drapes completely ineffective at blocking light from coming inside, including from the well-lit walkways. Booked and paid for 2 nights, stayed only one. The people were nice, and the other guests were nice, but if you can't sleep? No tip left for cleaning staff for the one night we did stay because of the urine and used beverages in the fridge.

Best bed yet
The bed was amazing. The room was small, but it was very well kept and looked very nice. The breakfast tasted great. But, as stated above, the bed was the best part. If i could have taken that mattress home i would have. The staff was all very nice and Dallas kept the room nice clean. Its a great spot right off the highway and the parking lot is super well lit.

Great place to stay
Everything was great except that you could hear the people in the next room occasionally. It was clean and comfortable and the lady at the desk was very friendly.

Stay away
This hotel claims it has renovated the property. The only renovations I saw was the office. We got to our room and it was as expected but when we turned on the heat it was very noisy and didn't get any sleep the rest of the night because of it Oh, not to mention all the hair that was on all the surfaces and on the towels. It was gross and next time we will bypass sonora all together and stay in the next town.

Good Place to Stop
Nice front desk, clean and safe. A good stop on a cross country trip. We've stayed three times. No frills but they had a fridge and a microwave in the room.

The people that work here are very limited with people skills and customer service. During breakfast, I had to continuously ask for items that weren’t being replenished. And the young girl that was ‘servicing’ the breakfast area had a mood and attitude that deserves to be fired. Cute little motel but the people working there are ruining it.

The staff are super friendly and the rooms are very clean due to Rosea C.. The town Sonora and the Super 8 gave me a home town feeling.

The room smells like cat pee, which isn't too surprising because the door wasn't fully closed when we got to it after checking in. The lady at the front desk is friendly, but she couldn't move us because no other 2-bed rooms were available. She offered no discount or to clean it (I assume she could not leave the front desk). I can't connect to any of the three wifi networks. I can't understand how a business would charge someone full price for a room that smells like this. It is also worth knowing that there will be an extra pet fee when you get here, if you have a pet.

After two nights, I'd recommend it
This is a real motel, with parking right at your door. The whole parking lot is paved with concrete, which is actually good for travelers who are in little need of grass and shrubs. Located in the center of Sonora near the intersection of US 277 and I-10. We were there for two nights. The motel is reasonably clean, although my wife complained of finding things dusty -- in West Texas, no less.The king bed was very comfortable, with the right amount of firmness for our tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was rather typical of the free breakfasts at small hotels, and there were ample choices of food items and breakfast drinks. The hot items were hot and fresh tasting. Checkout time was 11:00, so I walked over to the office and settled the account at about 10:40, while my wife continued to pack her bag inside the room. Just a few minutes later, 10:54 on my watch, a woman from the management walked over to emphasize the importance of our vacating the room so the staff could clean it. I said that we were leaving "Right now," but my wife was a little slow, so we could not lock the door for the final time until 11:02. So, I guess we overstayed our welcome. But other than that small annoyance and the "dusty" conditions, I was pleased with the motel, and I would recommend it.

The hotel was surprisingly nice, and we’ll maintained. The bed was comfy. The only complaint was the pipes made noise at night, but we just closed the door and turned on the fan. I would stay here again. Our housekeeper Dallas did a nice job getting our room ready for us.

Quiet and clean, rooms felt tidy and refurbished. We stayed one night as a stop gap on our Texan road trip. Good facilities including iron and fridge.
