The facility was immaculate. Con was taxi’s could not drop or pick up passengers from the property due to some ordinance. 100 meter walk, also no A/C.

We were so happy with the property and the value for money it provides. The nuns were wonderful and allowed you to stay in a clean, safe and welcoming environment. We loved the daily breakfast of cereal, rolls, pastries, juices and coffee/ hot drinks. The beds were really good quality, the shower had terrific pressure, and the view was fantastic. It was a relatively easy walk from Sant’Agnello train station, and Sorrento town centre. We also had access to the bus stop for the ride to Positano. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the station with a few narrow paths in case you have a younger family. Loved our stay and would return.

A unique experience- very happy to return.
Initial arrival was austere but it turned out that we had come to a very calm and special place. Most unusual, simple but excellently located by the charming beach below. The only downside was lack of a/c but the large shuttered balcony allowed made up for this.

This property is located in pretty Sant Agnello, which is outside of Sorrento; it is a taxi or bus ride to Sorrento, I would not say walkable, as there are no sidewalks connecting the streets. It is a pretty small town, high up on the hill, with amazing views of the surrounding area. We found the elevator down to the beach (couple of euros) and there are some places to eat and lounge and enjoy the sunset. The park was a pleasant surprise, just across from Domus. The residence itself with beautiful grounds, is run by nuns, we were lucky one younger one spoke English and was helpful. The older ones are your typical nun, regimented and it is not a typical hotel exerience you will get here, more like a hostel. Breakfast was ok. only seved from 8-9 am. The room is basic; did not have air conditioning, but did have a fan, was still warm in September. Shower was hot and good water pressure. Our view was out back to the mountains and had small balcony you could step out on. Taxis are not allowed to come down to the Domus, you need to walk to the Church to the right when you step out. I was able to have her call me one, as my phone would not connect. I dont know if I would stay here again, for the price we paid taxi back and forth to Sorrento, I would rather have stayed in Sorrento.

Domus, a home for travelers.
Sant Agnello, where the Domus is situated is one stop away from awesome Sorrento. When you book, be sure to print yourself a map to go get to the residence, which is about a 25 minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train which takes you there from the Napoli train station. The view of Mount Vesuvius is awesome, as is the garden overlooking the cliffs of the Mediterannean, and the surrounding mountain views.

Красивый оазиз!
Замечательный особняк- монастырь,прямо на скале над морем. В тихом районе ,где мало туристов. Владеют монастырем несколько монахинь ,они были очень любезны и доброжелательны.Завтрак скудный , номера хорошие,удобные,вид с террасы и сада на море,очень красиво.На все понравилось,очень рекомендую!

Stunning location, unique experience
An ideal base to discover the Sorrento area and Amalfi coast, this is an amazingly good value guest with the added unique experience of being run by a small group of warm and friendly nuns. A 10-min walk from either Sant'Agnello or Piano stations (recommend consulting map/street view beforehand), the hotel is a pleasant 20-30 min walk to Sorrento or one stop on the Circumvesuviana line. There was a little confusion upon my arrival as the only English-speaking sister was not present, but I was warmly received. My single room was in the extension and overlooked the gardens with a fantastic view of Vesuvius from my window. Room and bathroom clean and well-equipped, but bed small. The gardens have table and chairs, and there is a fantastic sunroof with stunning harbour views, and sunset view of Bay of Naples and Ischia. Breakfast between 8 and 9am only - the usual very unhealthy Italian start of pastries/cakes! But there is juice, bread and cereals. There is a coffee machine. Only issue is that it's meant to be a peaceful retreat, but I had more peace and quiet in my room in the centre of Naples. The venue is obviously used for band practice and parties, so there was loud music every evening. A child's party went on until 11pm with the kids running around the gardens. Luckily I had the wonderful roof to retreat to. Not a major issue, but not quite the advertised spiritual atmosphere I was expecting. Also, having to be out of your room at 9am doesn't help with the relaxation.

are you in a monastery sometime?
The explanation before book the hotel was very clear as regards is a Monastery. A great view from the cliff, a good price and some kind of mystery move me ahead. Altought the hotel was empty , the sisteres asigned us a room with view to the street and not to the sea. There were fixed hours to take a shower, not at the time you want. The wonderful view is from the terrace, not from the breakfast room (located in a basement). In summary: the nice view is if you decide be outside. The sistes are very educated and polite , but are not the same than an hotel employee. I think the place is very good for a lot for people , not for me.

Lovely setting/scary walk to get there!
First of all, we thought the hostel was in Sorrento, not in faraway suburb, Sant'Agnello. We had to take another train to get there. Then the fun began. I knew from other reviews that there was a 15 minute walk. With luggage that is a disaster. The road in front of the convent/hostel is very, very narrow and we truly have to cling to buildings when cars came by. It was dark and very dangerous. Had to call out for pizza because we did not want to try the road again. The hostel is very nice, run by wonderful nuns who were very kind. However, we decided to get another place in actual downtown Sorrento for the next night, paying for the second night because it was too late to cancel. If the hostel had been in Sorrento, on a road that was walkable, we would have loved to have stayed another night. If a guest has a car it is perfect, although a little out of the way. Hated to fork out more money, but it was worth it.

A vista é muito bonita desde o Jardim.
O local é um convento, são as irmãs que atendem. Longe de Sorrento e da estação de trem, e a caminhada logo na saída desta hospedagem é bastante desafiadora. Tem horário pra voltar a noite, senão não tem ninguém pra abrir a porta. O café da manhã é bastante simples. Elas cobram estacionamento e cobram a internet. Os móveis são bastante antigos e a cama range muito, achei que ia quebrar com meu peso - isso que sou magro, e o colchão era pra manter o casal separado, super erguido no meio, você voltava rolando para seu lado da cama. Durante o banho o banheiro alagava, até o papel higienico tinha que tirar do suporte antes do banho, e voltar a coloca-lo depois. Era demorado pra abrirem o portão quando você voltava, dava a impressão de que você estava incomodando por estar tocando a campainha. O local é bonito, e desde o jardim a vista é bonita.

離火車站有些距離
它應該算是個神職場所，如果對住在宗教場所有排斥的人別考慮，除此之外都很不錯，有電梯也有簡單的早餐，離海攤很近，看夕陽看海很方便。

An amazing location and peaceful atmosphere
We had a very pleasant stay Domus San Vincenzo. The location has an amazing view from a cliff across the sea and there is a sandy beach just 10 minutes away. The nuns are very clear on what they expect from their guests, but they are all very lovely. Note: they only accept cash payments, and the cash point is in the village (about 10 minute walk away). Also, we needed to look direction on google maps to find it.

Et rigtig dejligt sted
Nonnerne er rigtig søde og det var en god oplevelse at bo her. Tæt på Marina di Cassano ( der er elevator ned) hvor der er strand, udlejning af både og flere spisesteder. Stedet er et kloster og ikke et hotel med 24 timers service, men har du lyst til en anderledes hoteloplevelse og kan du leve med at være hjemme på klosteret før midnat er det absolut anbefalelsesværdigt! Vi kommer gerne igen.

Rigtig dejligt ophold. Nonnerne var soede og hjaelpsomme. Vores vaerelse havdesmuk udsigt over haven og vandet. Haven var et dejligt sted at opholde sig og vaerelserne var rene og bekvemme med masser af plads.

We stayed 2 nights here. It was very nice to find a place to accommodate 5 people in a room. We took a taxi from the train station when we arrived. The distance was walkable but better to get a taxi if you are carrying luggage, in my opinion.

Amazing Amalfi
Once I found Domus, I was relieved...it can be difficult to find, because it is not close to the train station. I stopped by a local food store, and the owner there told me how to find it. Also, it is not presently a "hostel". The nun who speaks English, Sister Clara, explained that it once was a "hostel", and is now a "pensione" managed by missionary nuns. Once you check in, walk out the back door, and gaze at Mount Vesuvius, which is across the bay, and peer down into the gorgeous water more than a hundred feet below...truly majestic and breath taking....It is quiet and peaceful...and a very short train ride to beautiful Sorrento, which should not be missed...actually ANY town on the Amalfi Coast is nothing short of spectacular !!!

Fantastisk udsigt til Napoli Bugten og til Vesuvio. Charmerende ao bo på et kloster med rigtige nonner, der er søde og imødekommende. Søster Clara taler perfekt engelsk. Dejligt med parkering i beskyttet gård. Meget billigt - masser af værdi for pengene, men lidt spartansk på den gode måde. Morgenmad var inkluderet i prisen, og var også spartansk, men kaffen fremragende. Bruser delvis defekt.

Et spesielt sted, en spesiell atmosfære, og en fantastisk utsikt over Napolibukta - stedet drives av nonner som har sine gjøremål i kombinasjon med å drive gjestehuset. Romslige rom og rolige omgivelser. Litt vanskelig å finne pga trange, enveiskjørte veier, ta med GPS.

Absolute Bliss
This is the most beautiful place to stay. the views were absolutely spectacular as this convent is on a cliff edge easily accessible by road, every morning I could take my coffee out to one of the the terraces and enjoy the spectacular views,the convent itself is beautiful and also a great place that cater for families so you don't need to worry about being quiet, the nuns are lovely and and keep to themselves and their duties, its a short train ride (1 stop) or 25 minute walk to Sorrento and I much preferred to stay here, a 5 minute walk to Piano with lovely restaurants and views, if youre a party animal maybe Sorrento is for you as there is a 11.30 pm curfew but if you let the nuns know you will be late they are pretty good about it, great place for families as they also provide gated parking, also wifi at 2 euros for1 hour, cash only no credit card facilities which was not a problem for me, I would come back and stay here in a heart beat, there was nothing I could fault about this place or its amazing location.

pra quem nào gosta de restricao de horario, a entrada é permitida até 23:30, e tem que deixar todos os dias 9 da manha pois é fechado para limpeza, a localização 20 minutos a pé do centro de Sorrento, tem comecio e restaurantes perto, o café da manha é das 8 a 9 da manha, simples, pao, cafe com leite, suco um doce e sucrilos...

Excelente para decansar. No es recomendable para personas que gustan de la vida social nocturna ya que requieren que se este en el hotel no mas tardar de las 11:30pm. El hotel queda en un area de trafico vehicular algo peligrosa para peatones. A 10 minutos caminando del tren y de los buses. Las monjas que lo administran fueron muy amigables y serviciales.

Beautiful views!
Very friendly staff and beautiful views. It was a bit hot when we were there and there is no airconditioning. The location is beautiful and right on the cliff overlooking the water. The continental breakfast was nice too.
