Hi Heather I am so sorry you seemed to have a less than good experience when you stayed with us on the 16th. The rooms are on the small side but well appointed we think, though I will apologise for it anyway. Your absolutely correct about the railway running close by, but we see that as a benefit as many of our customers arrive by train, and after all we only get 3 passenger trains in the day time and one freight train at night. By the time you hear it, its gone unless you are an extremely light sleeper, But I will apologise for that as well. As far as Covid 19 and making excuses about Our safety and that of our guests. We feel that the guidelines given to us by the government, make it clear that we should do everything in our power, to keep ourselves and our guests safe. I would say a vast majority of our guests appreciate what we do in that regard. We could have decided to do (ROOM ONLY) but felt that we could offer our guest breakfast in their rooms and still keep them and us as safe as possible, all breakfasts delivered freshly cooked and delivered covered to the door. Only left outside the door if the guest requests this from the other side of the door. I am sure that if you have been following the news, you will have noticed that some areas are being put back into lockdown. The simple reason for this is that there are further outbreaks in those areas. We need our income to survive, and if either of us were to show symptoms, we would loose that income. Also all guest booking would have to be cancelled. So it is even more important for us to remain healthy. Heather I will NOT apologise for that. Covid 19 is not an excuse. It is a dangerous and deadly virus, that has killed nearly a million people. Would you honestly do anything different if you were in my place.
