First in foremost the description of the property verses what i saw in person was absolutely false. The hotel is not updated at all. 1st night - found ants in 1 of the bed rooms, bathroom not cleaned . 2nd night- ants in the kitchen and the bathroom called the manager which she was very apologetic and gave us the option to change rooms which we did. 3rd night- my nephew found ants in one of the bedrooms in the bed. Looks as if the housekeepers just spray the bathroom but are not scrub the bathroom down. 4th night - we opted to wash our clothing before the flight....literally 3 washing machines to 13 dryers....they are old and only take coins...and get this the night clerk valled the general manager in order to get us change for washing our clothes and she sent her to voicemail did not pick up. Like what if it was a fire and you didn't answer your phone and this is your hotel!!!!!! The night clerk sandy hope im not spelling that wrong and the manager were the highlight because they really were apologetic to the needs of my family...but after having to switch rooms twice and still found insects in both ...i would never recommend this hotel to any guest. The general manager should be ashamed of herself for leaving her employees to handle the problems she should be handling.

Very nice place, but plagued by technical glitches
This property delivered a quiet, safe, clean, convenient place to stay, with friendly staff, and normally that would be that. However, my two-night stay was plagued by two problems that were not resolved while I was there. The first was a problem receiving one TV channel, but that may have been a problem with the provider that affected other customers in the area. The other, and more serious, problem involved needlessly blowing cold air into my room when the heat wasn't on. The heat eventually came back on and restored a comfortable temperature, but the wildly yo-yoing temperature was quite noticeable. A technician looked at the heat pump and replaced a dirty air filter, but that evidently wasn't the real problem.

Room was very good. Loved that there was sitting room and the desk. The people were wonderful. We had an issue with our vehicle and the staff was extremely caring and got us back on the road in time for our meeting.

Meh, I would choose another hotel
The pictures on the website led me to believe this was a decent hotel to book, when In reality it was just a notch above motel status. It felt like we were staying in a motel 6 vs. a Marriott. It was definitely on the lower scale of all the Marriotts I've stayed at (my fiance is a gold member). However, it served it's purpose, as we were needing a place to sleep along our commute up the coast to visit family for the holidays. The staff were friendly for the most part, but we kept hearing banging on the wall from the room next to us throughout the night. We were so tired from driving, we tried to ignore it & get some sleep. Also, the hot water pump is most likely shared amongst all the rooms because my fiance took a 10-15 minute shower that next morning & noticed the water becoming cold before I could get a shower in myself. I took the quickest, coldest 3 minute shower I never intended on taking that morning. After we checked out & were packing up the car, we noticed a ton of garbage strewn along the parking lot & with an abandoned luggage carrier. It was pretty disappointing and I would personally choose not to come back to this hotel again, but if your expectations are low, you might be satisfied with bare minimum hotel quality & standards.

This hotel was wonderful and affordable. The room was spacious and had it's own thermostat (which I love it to be warm). I did not eat the breakfast because I already had breakfast plans but it looked like a variety of options when I walked by.

The stay was fine. The breakfast was great!The workers were wonderful replenishing the food. All the staff were very good. The only issues were the following: no hangers, no hair dryer, and the heat was not working properly. It frequently blew out cold air even when the heat was set to a higher level.

The room was very dirty and rundown. I would have immediately checked-out and demanded a full refund if I wasn’t traveling with another person. You can request quite a few things except for a hair dryer. The shower water pressure was very good. The breakfast was good.

Home away from home
The staff has been so wonderful. Here with friends and it felt like home. Location is so convenient to shopping and restaurants as well as the Metro system. I have stayed here before and they continue to do upgrades and maintenance. It’s looking great and I will definitely stay here again

Oven to cook holiday turkey
I have enjoyed my stay here. I travel often and find the room very comfoting, clean, and where else can you find an oven to cook your holiday turkey in? Very nice layout and friendly staff.

Overall, the hotel room was spacious and included everything we needed for our extended trip, plus it was quiet. However, the hotel is a bit rundown, the room had a weird smell, and the bathroom sink needed to be grouted. The breakfast was okay, but they served the same hot food everyday...no variety.

The room we stayed in was very quiet and spacious for 2. We had a queen with open couch and full kitchen. The check-in was disappointing since we unexpectedly had to pay $12.00 /day for parking in the hotel parking lot. The check-in staff was okay but extremely small/tight lobby area. Layout of hotel is odd with parking space limited and small. Our room was great. Bed and pillows were very comfy. No noise. Breakfast was much better than expected. I recommend this hotel but would suggest to somehow make it known up front that there is $12/day parking. I have never had to pay for parking at a hotel. I've stayed at NYC Hilton in a parking garage and did NOT get charged! I would expect a much better parking facility and space to be charged, so that was a big disappointment. But other than that, I would do it again.

Impossible to reach anyone at the front desk before arriving at the hotel. I was patched through to an endless string of menus and eventually got someone who couldn’t help me. Entrance to the parking lot was difficulty to find in the dark, no lighted sign. Also, the parking lot was VERY dark. No lights at all. I would not have wanted to be out there alone. Check-in desk was tucked away in the corner, very messy (there was a half-eaten Dorito on the counter). Then immediately next to the desk was the storage room for linens and supplies that was left wide open. Just a lot of small things that added up to a less than appealing experience. Room was fine, nothing special. For the price, I would look elsewhere.

booked through hotels.com and even though I'm a Marriott member, Hotels.com had better rates. Instantly felt like I got treated differently at the desk because I booked through a third-party website than if I had booked as a Marriott member. My car was broken into as well as a couple of other cars, in the one night I stayed here. The management informed me that there are no cameras on the facility and that they have tried to get upper management to install them multiple times and they wont and that it was a "park at your own risk place. I was then told that I should just park in handicap spots after dark because "we don't enforce towing on those spots anyway." As a person with a disability that requires a handicap placard, this is absolutely the wrong answer and illegal! No wonder I couldn't find any parking in the handicap spots when I arrived! When I called the police to inform them of the break-in, they told me that it's not uncommon in this area and that I should rebook somewhere else! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Hi Nancy, Thank you for your feedback. I spoke with your husband on this manner and the message may have been miscommunicated to you based on what your feedback is. Yes, all of our parking is "at your own risk" as it will be with majority of the hotels in Northern VA. I do sincerely apologize that your car was broken into. There were not a couple of other cars broken into per your commentary. Unfortunately, the best advisement we can do in this situation is have you file a police report. Thankfully, your husband did inform me that nothing was stolen from your vehicle. Because you had an additional night at the property, I advised your husband to park in front of the building on the lines between the handicap spots, not in the handicap spots. I let him know that we will not have his car towed when we see it there due to the circumstances. Again, I apologize for this happening to your vehicle. I did let him know that in the year and a half I've been here, this is the first time this has happened in our parking lot. While the location of the property was good for our trip, the service was horrible, and the furniture in the room was broken or severely worn. The couch in the living room had a hole in it, the office chair in the living room was broken, and the doorknob on the bedroom door was broken. Housekeeping was only offered once/week and when I called the front desk to request more towels no one answered.

I was in the town for an overnight stay and couldn’t have made a better choice. The proximity to Washington DC makes Springfield an excellent, budget-friendly choice. The hotel was clean, and the room was well maintained. The room had a full fledge kitchen which is not a regular amenity that you see in the hotels. I would recommend this for a getaway, business, or for any other reasons that may take you to D.C. and will necessitate your stay there.

The hotel was advertised with a pool but it had closed the weekend prior. The air conditioning in the room must have leaked because a large area underneath. It was soaking wet with a carpet. The breakfast staff was very friendly and they did allow late check out.
