Breathtaking views, rooms were spacious and accommodating, overall stay was amazing. Staff service was exceptional, there is room for improvement for certain facilities, for instance, the pool hours should be extended, clear signs/instructions for different facilities that’s available for 98 Acres guests ( it was a bit confusing with Ravana pool club vs. the restaurant and pool for hotel guests) and food can be better (more options and overall quality). Thank you for your hospitality.

One of the best places we've ever stayed
This was one of the best places we've ever stayed at. We had a group of 4 adults and 4 children, so we got two side by side 2 bedroom family suites with pools. The views were incredible from everywhere in the resort. We stayed two nights. The food was great. Rose was wonderful with our check in and check out and our butler Freddy was perfect. Freddy always had a big smile and was always available to help us with anything. One thing to be aware of is that these accommodations are luxurious while remaining appropriately rustic for the jungle environment. That means you'll have wildlife visiting around and maybe even in your room. We had a squirrel get into our room somehow, which Freddy helped chase out, and you'll be sharing space with geckos and other little critters. This was fine for us and we were accustomed to it from Costa Rica, Thailand and similar places we've visited. After all, we're in their environment, not the other way around. As long as you're ok with rustic luxury, I can't recommend 98 Acres enough

Not worth the money.
Lovely view from the rooms but overall average for the price paid. It appears they're currently expanding, so much of the area is a building site.

The view at this hotel was unbeatable. Other Than the crazy amount of stairs you have to climb to go to the pool or restaurant everything was amazing. Not wheelchair friendly.

There's no international plug points in rooms, had to request one ro charge my phone. Great if the property can fix this. Otherwise everything is fantastic. Thank you

I loved the Nature around the property. My room had everything Ineeded. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful, my bed was amazingly comfortable. My balcony looking at the mountains, and nature very relaxing. Their breakfast buffet was A Their smoothies, and Cold ginger tea were the best. Their Dinner menu were very well detailed, and the food was delicious. I will go back, and stay at this location.

Beautiful views and good service
We had booked a Premium Mountain view room for 3 nights as part of our trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is located about a 5-10 minute drive outside of central Ella near the 9 Arch Bridge and Flying Ravina. Check in was quick and we were taking by golf buggy to our room. Rooms are large with a great view of Little Adams Peak. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but a ceiling fan above the bed which did help to keep the room cool - however we were only given 1 room card which meant each time we left the room the electric turned off and was slow to cool down again. The room was clean and had a very large bed, a very small wardrobe with a safe, a TV and sofa area and a desk area with plug sockets. Bathroom contained a toilet, large shower with a rainfall shower head which desperately needed descaling as was dribbling water and a smaller handheld shower and sink. Each room had a balcony to sit and enjoy the gorgeous view. Tea and instant coffee making facilities and fresh bottled water was provided each day and there is a large fridge/ chargeable minibar in the room. The doors and windows don't 100% fit so be prepared for some mosquitos (there was a net over our bed but it had a number of holes in it!) The hotel has a restaurant and bar on-site which offers a varied buffet breakfast (although some covers are needed as there were a lot of flies on the fruit and pastries) and and extensive dinner menu.

The view from the villas are breath taking. The room is basic with no air conditioning nor fresh air ventilation into the room at nights. The windows cannot be opened due to mosquitos. It is a steep to climb up to the restaurant and to the hikes and the 9 arches. Unsure if wheel chair accebility.

This resort was absolutely beautiful. The room was very well appointed and super comfortable. Staff extremely attentive. They had a golf cart accessible to you to take you from one place to the other so you dont have to walk it all. We went to the spa to have a massage and that was also great. If I had anything else to say about it is that perhaps they lack a little bit on the restaurant part. Not many options and the food was not great. Other than that, the hotel was great.

The most amazing view to wake up to, i could sit on the balcony and stare at it for days. That’s really what you’re paying for, the service and food is good but the view is everything. We were a little surprised by our dinner bill for two nights at checking out, but then it is a luxury hotel.

Great hospitality of the night receptionist
They would welcome you with some fanfare which felt abit weird for me haha... The neck of flowers. But it was welcoming for the warm tea and warm towel. Check-in was quite fast. Thanks for that! The night team when I was there during week of election is superb. It was pouring heavily, I still wanted to go to the city to have a look and dinner, and he was all ready to help. He even kindly arranged for a tuktuk with Mr Ashok help to try to wait for me so that I can safely come back without worries Truly made my long and rainy day at Ella. Also after that I realised if it is raining maybe I could have asked a buggy to send me to my room up the hill a little. Breakfast is a sumptuous buffet spread with good view and sunlight. If you can have more time there, it is good as you can eat more and slowly :) It was strange that when I went out for a short afternoon walk, someone came to do room service right after I checked in 30mins before.. Made me feel weird. Other than that, location of the resort is good. There is a short cut to the mini Adams peak via helipad route, saves you a lot of walk. They do not provide money exchange.

Excellent stay at this fantastic resort.
98 Acres is a special property and we were so excited to stay here on our trip in Sri Lanka. The resort did not disappoint and I will always think back to our stay here with fond memories. The view from the rooms is breath taking and there is lots to do within walking distance (Little Adam's Peak and Ella Bridge) which is a bonus). The staff were great, especially in the restaurant. I hope to be back one day.

wahnsinnslage mitten um Urwald, bitte premium oder executive suite nehmen (Alleinlage), personal enttäuschend, empfang ungenügend (keine Führung übers Gelände etc), kaum poolservice, bauarbeiten am pool, es lagen ungesicherte spitze werkzeuge auf dem gehweg von den Bauarbeiten,unbequeme und schmutzige liegen, einem Gast ins Gesicht zu sagen, dsss es am Pool nur erlaubt ist sich 1 Handtuch zu nehmen, grenzt in dieser Preisklasse an eine Unverschämtheit (200€ pro Nacht) zumal das Personal sogar zu faul ist,einem das Handtuch auf die Liege zu legen oder den Sonnenschirm aufzuspannen. Checkout enttäuschend (keine Kompensation für nicht funktionierendes Wlan im Zimmer während des kompletten Aufenthaltes) das Zimmer wird kontrolliert dass man nichts gestohlen hat (nicht wegen der MINI bar) KEIN guest relationmnager vor ort

Beautiful location
The hotel and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is a bit above the center of town and view from the room is unbeatable. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed a cooking lesson from the chef which was fun.
