The room was extremely nice in decorations and cleanliness. The kitchenette was very useful as there’s not a ton of dining nearby, but there’s two bars with food within walking distance. The location of the hotel is gorgeous and quiet. The balconies are private and give you a very good view of the water. Cane bay beach is a short walk away and has options for diving and snorkeling the reef. We were extremely glad we chose to stay there and will definitely be back.

We loved the hotel and the area! It was very quiet and everyone was friendly! We got to hang with the locals and stay away from most of the resort/touristy stuff. The waves crashing from the balcony was the highlight of the hotel ! The drinks at the connected bar were amazing!

This is such a perfect spot for a vacation! Private and quiet, with bars, food, and beach right down the road. Definitely recommend this location as a romantic get away and not for family groups as there’s not much for kids to do unless you drive into Christianstead. Staff were kind and personable, rooms were private and gorgeous. That view! 10/10 recommend.

Charlette was very friendly and great to talk with. This place was absolutely beautiful! Loved the kitchenette so we had the option to cook but it was also within walking distance of good food down the street. Fun little tide pool to cool off in and watch the waves crash in.

Unique boutique hotel right on the ocean with waves crashing outside. Room has a kitchen with refrigerator and small stove. It is a ten minute walk to Cane Bay beach, which is beautiful. Very nice restaurant at hotel for dinner $ and a couple restaurants by the beach. Only breakfast option is a food truck by the beach on days with a T or S. Closes at noon. You need a car to get to other places or taxi. Not close to stores or the cities, about a half an hour.

The view from the room was nothing short of breathtaking. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the waves was EVERYTHING. The staff was friendly and was able to satisfy any request we had timely. If you want to vacation in a beautiful setting, make your reservations today. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I visited St. Croix for the first time for his birthday. I never leave reviews but We loved our stay at Cane Bay and I want to tell everyone! The room was directly above the crashing waves and beautiful Caribbean blue water- which was so peaceful during sleep. The full kitchen in our room (we booked the superior with kitchenette) was perfect for cooking our own meals when we wanted. The bed was comfy. The place was so clean. Everyone from the housekeeping crew to the front desk were always so welcoming and friendly. Ama (the restaurant) had some of the best food we had on the island with an incredible view… and do yourself a favor- get their bread pudding! Thank you to the Waves at Cane Bay for making our trip memorable. We loved our stay!

Do you want a magical and mystical Caribbean experience? Then this is your place to stay! I have been traveling the Caribbean islands for over 20 years, being the Explorer that I am, my motto is "Never the same island twice". I have never stayed in such a relaxing, beautiful, and peaceful place before. (This place could convince me otherwise). The Waves literally sits right on the water's edge. Walking into my room just blew me away! The Sea was right there, waves crashing right below me! Sitting on the comfortable porch was like being on a boat. I love small venues without the big resort hype and noise. If you seek the same, you will also be excited to stay there. The beautiful Cane Bay Beach is out your front door. The restaurant AMA was a unique experience too. Sitting right on the grotto with the waves crashing up to the restaurant. The food was delicious, the wine and drink selection were extensive, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They are always crowded as people (including locals) from around the island go there for dinner, so be sure to make a reservation. The website's pictures are consistent with the bohemian feel of the room. The staff were always helpful. Room 4 is fabulous! A large corner unit with surrounding windows. Note: There is not an elevator, so if you are on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. I was fortunate because when I arrived, Tom w/Maintenance, carried them up for me.

This is a boutique hotel so the typical hotel chain amenities like room service are not there. But the hotel staff and property manager are very efficient and make sure you have a wonderful stay. We loved our room with its comfortable bed, nice sized kitchenette with a coffee maker and big refrigerator. There was some great coffee provided for us in the room to brew each morning as well as a nice bottle of wine. Nice details that were very much appreciated. The design choices for this property were modern bohemian and tasteful. The big balcony right over the water was lovely and nicely furnished with a small wooden table and chairs that we used to enjoy our coffee in the mornings. There was also some super comfortable looking cushioned seating on the balcony that was really wet from ocean spray and never seemed to get enough sunlight to dry it out. So perhaps a less absorbent material for a lounger would have worked better in the space. The location is wonderful and walkable to the beach at Cane Bay and the casual restaurants there. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again for longer.

We stayed at the Waves at Cane Bay for our honeymoon in October and had an absolutely amazing time! Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the view of the ocean from our balcony was absolutely gorgeous. We loved being able to walk to Cane Bay beach every day and visit the beach restaurants. We also had a delicious dinner at AMA which is located at the Waves at Cane Bay. Staff members were friendly and easy to work with, and we enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. You will need a rental car to reach the hotel from the airport and to travel to Frederiksted and Christiansted, but there is parking available in a small gravel lot near the hotel. If you would like to save money by cooking some meals, the stovetop kitchenette is easy to use. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely recommend staying at the Waves at Cane Bay!

The hotel is in an amazing and secluded area overlooking cane bay. Its absolutely beuatif. You fall asleep w the waves serenading you and wake uo the same way. The staff was amazing. Helpful whenever we needed then. We ate at the restaurant below us on night 1 and the food was to die for and the little tiki bar attached that overlooks the bay was perfect for grabbing a quick drink. I highly recommend this hotel and would def come back.

This is a great property, but it is away from most activities. Definitely need a rental car for exploring the island. Staff as well as the people running the AMA restaurant attached, we’re awesome.

This place was wonderful. If you are looking for a place near the ocean you can’t get any closer than this. The waves literally touch the building. There is plenty of dining near by and you are close to both major cities. I will definitely be back.

Roaches, roaches and roaches!! Rooms are spit-cleaned, and when you request areas to be cleaned you are ignored. Can't use the patio to enjoy the amenities or the ocean view because its scolding hot and very humid 24/7, even at 2am! Its like sticking your head in a hot oven. There is a small patch of dirt and a small area with gravel for parking a total of 6 cars but from 5p till 10pm it is occupied by customers going to the bar next door. The gravel area is also a construction zone and has lot of scr ews on the ground. There is no phone in the room. I never saw front desk except at check-in, but supposedly they are there till 4pm. It is far from everything you want to see and do on the island. There is no cable TV only APPS. They have roaches!!!

The property had a beautiful view of the ocean. Room #6 appeared nice initially but on the 3rd night of a 5 night stay i realized the room had bed bugs. Woke up with numerous red bite marks on my body. Pulled the sheets back and noticed bed bug shedding. If there had not been a bed bug issue, this would have been a nice place to stay. The grounds did have remodeling material and an old dryer outside at the front of the building which was an eye sore. Also had issues with limited parking during hours when the AMA restaurant was open. Of course, the bed bug issue ruined my vacation. Im still having to take necessary precautions since arriving home to ensure my luggage and clothing is properly treated to prevent bringing bed bugs to my home. What should have been a relaxing trip has caused me great stress due to the bed bug issue.

Absolutely loved our stay at the waves !! There was a beautiful beach and several restaurants with amazing food that was walking distance. The staff was helpful especially Charlette!!
