I was not planning to write a review, but since you emailed me a few times, I am writing this. Royalton at Saint Lucia is a beautiful property. However, we found some serious problems with the way it was run. Here is the list of very serious issues we noticed while we were there for 5 days.
1. The men who work there have not been given training on being respectful to ladies and young women. Lewd comments and innuendos constantly harassed my two daughters. For example, my 18-year-old was asked to go to a street party. It happened at least 4-5 times, and at the time I was leaving, I complained to the staff at the front office. This is not one isolated bad actor, but there is a pattern of inappropriate behavior.
2. The dress code was, at times, overused at the restaurants.
3. The choice of food and varieties was very limited.
4. The meal options and proportions in some restaurants were pathetic.
5. The wine selection was really bad, and they ran out of white wine. The red wine was stored badly, so the bottles we paid for tasted like vinegar when opened.
6. Very few people in the resort were trained to welcome the guests and smile.
7. There were a few people who were good. The servers at the steakhouse and hibachi were good. The bartenders in the bar at the main building were nice.
8. For room service, you need to call a few times to get a response. Even then, you had to wait a long time for whatever it was you needed. Of all these issues, the most concerning is the first o
