This property looks nothing like the pictures. Be prepared to walk up many steps. The bathroom shower has moss. The pillows have been around the block many times. The towels...just don't go.

Poor hospitality . Breakfast restaurant waitress offensive , rude . We were reprimanded by waitress 3 times for requesting coffee refills . Waitress advised me she only makes one visit to table . She became angry each time I requested a coffee refill ( asked twice ). Reprimanded us for sitting at a table for 4 . We were 3 adults . Rooms were very outdated . Shower head had major leak . Broken toilet lid . Very Third World property .

This is an older hotel so no elevator and many split levels since built into a hill. Many steps but I liked the quaintness of Bunker Hill. The rooms i saw were clean and fairly updated. We had a problem with the a/c unit in our first room and they promptly moved us.Hotel restaurant had very good food. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. Laverne was great. She gave us a lot of sightseeing tips and made us feel at home. I liked that it was an easy walk to the main shopping area of Charlotte Amalie and historical sites. The only thing that I didn't care for was around the outside of the property and on streets was a lot of garbage even though there are no littering signs. Some properties in the area also very run down so people may overlook this place.

Fantastic location makes it easier to go explore areas not close to the cruise ships. Yards away from the "99 Steps" which you take to see Backbeards tower. Just a few blocks off the beaten path makes it more quiet than others on the strip. A/C in the room was great. Mini-mart across the street. Breakfast in the morning is better than average and with a gorgeous open-air view. No elevator so you need to be able to use stairs.

Overall the property was clean and a great value. Location was convenient to the ferry terminal ...about a 10 minute walk so we didnt need to catch a cab. Staff were very friendly. It isnt the 4 seasons but like I said it is a great value and as depicted on online.

Great overall location. Bad neighborhood. Staff very courteous breakfast was ok. Property not as it is pictured. Very rundown. Damage in room and property overall disrepair. Pools are small With one located in the restaurant. Had to climb 3 flights of stairs with heavy luggage. Expedia should remove from their list of options.

The professionalism of the staff makes up for a lot. However, unless you like walking, it’s not very convenient to get anywhere and it’s on a hill that makes transportation a challenge.

This property has great potential!! Super unique and could be awesome if there were some serious rehab and renovations done to it. We traveled with our 4 kids aged 12, 11, 8, 5 and I think they were the only kids there. The hotel is geared towards adults for sure. The pool is tiny and is supposed to only be used as a sitting pool so that wasn't fun for the kids. The rooms were not as clean as we are used to, but we still felt okay in them. The towels were all white, but a collection of many different kinds of towns, none soft or luxurious. There are LOTS and LOTS of stairs... like everywhere you go there are stairs. We liked the stairs and felt like it added to the coolness of the hotel. The staff was INCREDIBLE!! Joann at the front desk was helpful and kind. The server at breakfast was always super nice and happy to help! Breakfast was great in comparison to what we thought it was going to be. Not many options, but warm and cooked fresh. Al was incredible as well. Make sure you have plenty of cash for taxies as none take card. We learned the hard way and burned through hundreds in a matter of 2 days just getting our family too and from places. This is NO WHERE NEAR A BEACH.... like no beaches anywhere around. I wish I would have looked into that more before I booked as we are beach people. But the hotel was walking distance to the ferry that took us to St. John for a day trip. You can tell the staff truly loves this property and it's like a little family.

I would, absolutely, stay at Bunker Hill again. We stayed for two nights and were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, the restaurant was quite good, there was free breakfast included, and the room was quite nice compared to other options in the same price range.

This was right in the historic district and easy to walk to places in the downtown. It also had a pool which was quite relaxing after a seriously early morning flight to get there.

We had a great time at Bunker Hill. We booked the economy room and it was spacious. The previous comments about the stairs are true BUT we were on the top floor and stairs weren’t that bad with 2 heavy luggages. (Note that we are in our 20s). The room was pretty standard. However it had everything we needed. The breakfast was very nice addition and had variety of options. The staff were very nice and actually helped us to get a taxi from a more remote area when the taxi company did not want to come for us. The in-house restaurant and deli were a nice plus. Location is everything, especially since it is close to restaurants/bars and the safari route. Overall just had a pleasant experience, would definitely return! The only downside was that the AC condensation dripped down at times, wetting one of the night stands and our stuff on it.

It is close to the center of town but other than that, there isn’t much to recommend this hotel. The reception area is dismal, service indifferent and the property itself in less than good condition. Breakfast was basic and while dinner at the restaurant was good, it was extremely overpriced for what it was. We only stayed one night.

This is an older building but efforts are made to keep it up. The room was small but clean. The staff were very friendly and respectful. Lots of stairs. The complementary breakfast was good.

This hotel is absolutely worth the price. Meaning it’s not bad, but if you had to pay $50 more you’d be overpaying. I stayed in a room that’ll accommodate 6 people. Even though it accommodates 6 people you still have to pay for all 6 people, individually. There is nothing bright or extra about this hotel, we only needed to stay for 1 night so I can’t complain. Nice staff, very local. I probably wouldn’t stay again, but perfect if you’re on a budget.

Geen lift dus met zware koffer een hele toer om boven te komen als je niet op de eerste verdieping zit. 2 nachten meer dan genoeg om hier te verblijven. We couldn’t open the shades due to lack of privacy. Property was quaint but dated and not well maintained. One example were very old hollow doors on bathroom that were in bad shape. I chose to wait til the next hotel to shower. It didn’t seem like they put in effort to maintain the property. Pools were the size of hot tubs. There was no in room coffee. Most positive thing was the restaurant and staff which were very good.
