The guesthouse itself was perfectly fine, with a very clean room, a large comfy bed, nice furniture, very fast Wi-Fi, nice views and very quiet at night. However, I don't rate Kingstown itself as being a suitable place to stay for white tourists. I was constantly hassled on the streets as a single white male, and I can imagine a white female would feel very uncomfortable or unsafe. The town has a lot of poverty and chaotic streets. You will notice quite a few "crazy" people making a spectacle of themselves, either drunk, drugged or just with mental issues. I would not risk going out alone at night, as a tourist. There were a lot of beggars, as well as men who try to strike up conversation in order to offer you either a tour or drugs, and as soon as you've talked to them they expect a "tip". Some of them are a bit aggressive. You need to watch your step and I definitely wouldn't recommend arguing with them.
