This hotel is in desperate need of a major update. The staff was shorthanded; trying to wait tables, take care of incoming guests, addressing issues and clean the rooms. There are 24 outdoor stairs to reach the 2nd-floor rooms, no indoor access, no 1st-floor rooms. The condition of the rooms and hallways were poor. The price was comparable with other newer cleaner hotels but without any of the normal amenities. There is no pool or jacuzzi. The rooms do not have telephones, microwaves, refrigerators, ironing boards or irons, hairdryers, coffee makers or wi-fi. Wi-fi is available on the first floor only, not in the rooms. It takes two remotes to use the TV. Ice is only available in the restaurant as is coffee. No complimentary breakfast. The front desk is only available during restaurant hours but not attended except by the restaurant staff. The plumbing was noisy and the toilet flushing questionable, sometimes requiring two flushes to work. We prepaid for two nights or we would have found other accommodations. The room was not cleaned after the first night and I question how well it was cleaned before we checked in. When I reported the cleaning problem to the staff, I had to ask three people before anyone would get us fresh towels. The first person told me he needed to get the manager. The second person asked if I was sure it was not cleaned. The third person told me the cleaning person was on vacation and found towels. We will not return.
