Hello there and I do recall your booking. We were very happy to be able to upgrade you to a larger family room at no extra cost. You are correct about us not being part of a big chain as we are a small family run business and do all the work ourselves. Just to correct you we do realise that customer service is everything to a smalll operation like ourselves and have proven very successful in this area (refer to other reviews). We make a point of calling guests that have left something valuable in their room. We did not think that a small container with a cut up orange that we found 3 hours after you left was what we classifed as "valuable". We were happy to retrieve this from our bin non the less. Perhaps next time can I suggest that you conduct a quick check of your room to see if you have left any valuables behind as it is your responsibily and not that of the accommodation provider. Hi there Anonymous but I do recall you as our guest. Just for future reference its best to call the motel ahead if you require an early checkin. Its not reasonable to expect other guests to check out early so others can check in before our 2pm check in time (also industry standard I think you will find). Kind regards Joanne and Gren

We have a variety of mattresses and its very difficult to please everyone. We very rarely have complaints about mattresses. Pillows and mattresses are a very personal preference. Hi there Anonymous. I do not think its fair that guests can review accommodation providers without providing their name. As you decided to review anonymously I cannot identify when you stayed or what room you stayed in. Therefore I cannot respond accordingly. What a shame you did not come and see us at reception during your stay. All I can think of is you never left your room therefore we may not have had the opportunity to service your room. But like I said we will never know as you did not provide your name.
