The views are beautiful and the lobby so pretty! Our room could have been nicer the carpet was coming up in areas and was covered by a floor mat. Love the area not a bad stay.

I apologize if you were not happy with the stay here at the Appalachian. Unfortunately the policy applies and we need to follow for the safety of all of our guests. Waterpark was easy access from the hotel. The pool hours was very convenient especially for the kids. Dining options was very limited during the week.

Great for families, lacks modern touches
We had a great stay. Building seems outdated and rooms seemed beat up that’s why I gave it a mid rank. No sheets for the pull out bed which was an issue. Also only one elevator was open and with the bike event, it was very busy and wait times to get in and out were higher than expected.

Relaxing and easy to traverse! Didn't need much help but whenever we did the staff was sweet and accommodating. Thank you for a cozy, happy weekend. :)

A beautiful space and if the amenities were working, a great spot to relax and enjoy. We spent the extra money for the amenities (hot tubs, outdoor swimming pool, fireplace in the suite) and unfortunately the pool was closed for the weekend, one of the hot tubs was drained, and our fireplace didn't work and no one tried to fix it after we told the staff it wasn't working. Parking was a challenge for a truck and although they were hosting a local event, the staff knew very little about it.

Close to venue. I did not like there were no restaurants open at the resort, they did not allow late check out, tv changes channels constantly by itself, electric kept blinking and rooms were noisy in the middle of the night from a party.

The front desk never answers the phone. There was no heating control. The check in was 5:00 pretty late and there was no room to spare for check out time at 11:00. . However, it was very convenient for our ski vacation since the hotel was right at the resort.

Not a good value
The hotel looks great from the outside and the front desk service is very good. Our disappointment was the room it self. Carpets stained and dirty Shower curtain stained and dirty Small dinning table surface was completely chipped off along one side. Room 432. For almost $300 a night your getting ripped off. Again the service and amenities were good but the room was far from good.

Loved the spacious room. Great for families traveling. The pool and hot tub was open until 11 pm that was a plus. I wish the restaurants stayed open later. Overall definitely would come back again.

A pleasant surprise
I was pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. The layout was very nice. It was very clean and comfortable. The view was beautiful.

The staff were exceedingly accommodating and the room was spacious but there was some hair and other debris in the bathtub. I also would have loved a place to eat a sit down breakfast. The store sold breakfast food but nothing too substantial.

I'd never want to go back. The cleaning ladies were actually smoking on the balcony as they cleaned. No rules were enforced. We could hear doors slamming all night long. Coffee was terrible.

My family of 4 stayed for the weekend. My husband enjoyed the bike park while the kids enjoyed the waterpark. The check-in was convenient, staff were nice and accomodating. The pool area is clean and well kept.

The idea of paying $40 to get to the room 2 hours before check in is ridiculous in the middle of nowhere in empty hotel. The google.said the water park is open and the stuff was unaware of this huge misinformation as they said it's fault of google and not theirs, I said you email google.l and they will gladly correct it they looked at me with deer in the lights stare. We booked 3 days there solely based on google as most of people do, who goes to anybody's website we booked it through expedia. What was bad is that no apologies were in place nor any kind of consideration for other guests in future. We booked 4 guests room but we got 1 king comforter and 1 throw and 1 weigh blanket so we weren't comfy as we should. The burger place outside has good german beer but my turkey burger was super salty and other burger we ordered was dry, thin and burned. On the positive note pool is open to 11pm so that's awesome, area is beautiful and parking is quite comfy underground with lift from main building. Zipline was awesome attraction, views are breathtaking and I might come back despite having balcony/view on mountains but with the parking and highway as well.

Beautiful Resort
The staff was wonderful and attentive. Only two issues, our air conditioning didn’t work the first night, but was fixed the following day once we reported it. And second, it would be great to have a restaurant onsite. Otherwise, we totally enjoyed our stay.

The place was very unsafe because notbody asked about who was coming in or out . We left the resort before time due to that because I want my kid to be in a safe place and this was not safe at all

We checked out from this hotel less than 1 hour after we checked in. This hotel doesn’t worth money which we paid. Swimming pool and hot tub were closed. Room on first floor with Mountain View was a small with terrible smell and unattractive view. The management is so poor. Next day I received an automatic message how it is great to have me with them. Unbelievable!

Upon check in, the situation about the pool was clearly explained. Regarding the room being too small, which was booked by the guests, we offered to switch rooms when guest approached the desk. The guest was asked if wanting to speak to the manager but refused to and left. We hope that the guest will return in the future as these issues would have been addressed and fixed.
