Got to the apartments via a Wotif booking, only to find we had to go elsewhere to get the keys. They we could not leave on time due to the remote control would not open the parking gate. This resulted in being unable to lodge application for a project on time.

Good location for a short term stay
We had the attic room. It was cosy and clean. We wanted to be able to cook our breakfasts etc so it was good for this.My partner cooked breaky and I went for a quick walk down the road to get our coffees! It is in a great location, close to local shops and only a 10min/$9 uber from city. Walls were thin, hence we could hear the family on the level below us having a dinner party. The TV is in a very awkward position. We didnt really want to watch TV anyway but not ideal if you want to watch a movie in bed.

Neat apartments close to the village of Double Bay
Very clean room, convenient location, off street parking. Loud plumbing noises throughout the night. Inconvenient to pick up keys at Edgecliff. Impossible if you do not have a car.

Easter at Medina
Easy to find the Medina Appartments. Close to the Double Bay shopping centre. Ocean avenue is, lined by wonderful big trees. The bird song is a delight. It must be admitted that having to check in at Vibe is a bit of a drag and having just come off the M5 we found it more by good luck than knowhow.

Good position.
Great position near shops,restaurants,buses and ferry. Atrocious internet connection and internet providers not helpful..Staff at Vibe very helpful ,accomodating and apologetic about the problem as they are not the internet providers.Sort out the internet and a great place at a reasonable price ,not flash but comfortable . 1. No clear prior mention that you had to collect the keys 5kms away 2. Need keys to open the front gate to leave when we had already left the keys in the room on departure 3. No light in patio upon entry 4. Foyer musty 5. Furniture aged and sloppy

Close to shops and Double Bay Wharf. Unfortunately has smell of mould that is endemic to this part of town. Good with windows open

Not the Medina we are used to
We were surprised at the poor state of the room. The bathroom in particular was cover d with mould. Not very nice at all.

Second time I have stayed at Medina. Double Bay. Comfortable, close to all transport and parking. More than happy.

Stayed for a week at this place because it offered free parking and close to amenities. However the ceilings are slanted near the bed and bathroom so hit our heads and back several times. Room could have been cleaner as there was a lot of dust. Stairs were quite steep to third floor so if you have heavy luggage, it might be a problem.

Very inconvenient check in procedure
I was told to check in at another hotel (Vibe -at Rush Cutters Bay). As there would not be any staff at the Medinato receive us. As it was early, I was prepared to leave our bags at the accomodation we were to stay at, but the staff member told me I had to come back to the Vibe Hotel after 2 , only then to drive 5-10 minutes to our unit. Being from interstate and being on foot with bags, this was not a convenient option. Only after frustration and saying I was prepared to cancel my booking did they agree. We were told we could leave our bags and our unit would be ready soon, and to wait for a phone call to tell us when we could return. We thought around 12-2 would be about right, but no call came. So we waited in the streets until 3 when we came back and no apology, no mention of anything... the place is spacious and comfortable but the dysconnected communications very disappointing given what we paid to stay there.

Good value Studio Room
This is a great value alternative to a hotel. The only problem was the ceiling above the bed is very low and can bring out the f-bomb when numbing up to go to the loo in the middle of the night. Another problem could be the stairs if you have heavy or awkward luggage.

Did the job
Look this isn't the smartest apartment block in Sydney, but it had all the amenities even though it was a bit tired. Biggest problem was carrying a heavy case up two flights of stairs, and having to check in at a hotel 5 k away!

Good Location
This is in a great location and the overall facilities were good. Could do with a fresh paint and higher standard of cleaning. The WIFI was poor and not much free access. This would then be a perfect accomadation if these changes were made.

Not fit for business - an inconvenient truth
Keys are kept at a different hotel, which is a 10 minute drive away. Keys supplied didn't fit the gate or door, so i had to wait about 30 minutes for someone to bring a key. No compensation offered for the inconvenience. Not happy.

Great Location
This location very convenient for walking to shops, restaurants, library and ferry. It was 15 minutes walk uphill to the train but it was only a $15 taxi ride into the city. The off street parking was convenient and essential in this area.

Nice hotel comfortable, but could be cleaner
Overall good experience except two issues I found first they were trying to tell me you only get 100mb free internet which is nothing! When it says nothing about 100mb when booking it just says free. Second when clean your room the next day they only change the towels and half make the bed! They don't wipe anything down and we noticed they did a quick clean on arrival as well.

Could have used a thorough vacuum, but everything else clean and tidy. For the price and area though, would definitely recommend it.

we would not use this premise again because of the steep stairs to access unit 9 we arriced to find the kitchen sink overflowing - leaking tap and sink outlet closed. Staff responded well

Very run down apartment.
Very old apartment. Floor is squeaky, at night the ceiling got scratching sound, likely from rats. The corridor light is not working. Very spooky environment to be in especially at night. Be aware the check in hotel is 10 mins drive from the apartment. I arrived late night and have to catch a taxi which cost $20 round trip.

disappointing stay
A very dark apartment. Lacked good lighting. The beds were very hard. We purchased a double blow up bed and slept on the floor, it was that bad. Cutlery had rust spots on them. The location was great .... that is the only positive thing I can say about this apartment.

The Medina is fantastic location and as a bonus provides parking. The apartment itself was run down and had a musky smell, a few basics not provided (like tea towels) but overall it was what I expected for the money I paid.

Reception employee at Vibe Rushcutter's Bay was efficient, friendly and helpful. The Medina is well-located for shops, cafes, restaurants and the amenities of the Eastern bays. The 2 bedroom ground floor apartment was large, well laid out, clean but dark. Three things really detracted from our stay. 1. Noise - street and traffic noise is constant and the apartment windows are not acoustically reinforced. Apartment 4 is on the ground floor and footfalls and plumbing noises from the upstairs apartment can be heard in the main bedroom. The courtyard is not practical nor private given the level of pedestrian and street traffic. 2. Dank odour - there is a mouldy, dank odour in the apartment. It's probably due to old carpets, its ground floor location and insufficient light. 3. No separate shower. The lobby is also a bit of a shambles with cleaning equipment and bits of furnishing sitting around. Overall, its not good value for money. The complex needs an overhaul.

Hotel not as represented online
I was shocked to arrive and find that we had to walk up four flights of stairs, that there was no lift. The building is extremely old and tired inside and out and maybe it is time for a new one with modern facilities, we then went to their main hotel, Vibe and asked if we could move in there, the staff were extremely helpful and very good and for just a bit more we stayed at Vibe and it was great.

Lovely old building..... In poor state of repair
Really disappointed, this hotel whilst in a beautiful area is in a poor state of repair. The cleanliness leaves a great deal to be desired. Definitely would not go back.

Sounded like a herd of elephants living upstairs. Woken at 5.45 am and no way of getting back to sleep. Could even hear them using the toilet! Put in a complaint to reception and they said reservations would get back to me............still waiting.

A dump
After climbing 39 steps of a tortuous , narrow dangerous stairway(in the dark - light not working ) we reached Room 9 , a dusty hovel fit for little people , an attic of nothingness . It was galling to pay the price we paid for this dump .

Fantastic location and good layout, but filthy
This apartment is in a fantastic location and the layout of the apartment with two bedrooms was excellent, but unfortunately the apartment was filthy. We contacted management and they sent housekeeping to attend to it, but unfortunately the filth was so ingrained, it was beyond housekeeping. There was mould all through the bathroom, the carpets badly need replacing, dust over everything and a terrible smell of smoke and damp.

PONIES OUTSIDE THE HOTEL EVERY THURSDAY
Stayed for a week for business reasons in Double Bay. Close to every nice cafe/restaurant Double Bay has to offer, and delivery drivers don't get mad for driving 2 minutes because I'm lazy and it's cold outside. The building itself is a little dated, some noisy pipes and creaky floors - but I can't fault the rooms, facilities, staff or the location. Also, if you are feeling bored or adventurous, play Sydney Driver Bingo - you won't go an hour without seeing a near miss, car parked on the side of the road because of a poorly timed appointment, arguments at roundabouts, or an actual accident - fun times.

Needed a reasonably priced stay for business purposes which included parking and this facility not only met that need but was well located and private. Great modern layout and very comfortable. Would recommend these apartments to my colleagues.

decent location; secure facility. It was nowhere mentioned that we need to check in somewhere else and go to this location. No elevator available.. you have to pull your luggages thru narrow staircases.

Sleutel halen
Het ophalen van de sleutel is bij een ander hotel. Dit ligt 15 minuten rijden van Medina app. Op de site en de bevestiging staat wel de naam van het hotel maar niet het adres. Daar we geen auto hadden moest er gebeld worden... Een dure business. We werden wel opgehaald voor de checkin en teruggebracht. Al met al een uur verlies.
