Just stay here!
Love this hotel! Outstanding position, a little noisy but you are above the cafes and right across from the harbour. 400 m walk to the swimming areas. Good shopping nearby. Great breakfast excellent service by Panos.

Exceptional hotel
Wonderful hotel, I would stay here again. Beautiful views. A little distance from main harbour but the hotel and staff made up for that. Food was excellent. Staff couldn’t do enough. We wanted to stay longer but fully booked. We loved it

Loved the location, friendly staff and cooked to order breakfast. The stairs are a bit much to navigate, but so worth it for the upstairs common area and room looking out to the sea.

Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was ook prima. De ligging is perfect. Een minpunt vonden we het harde matras maar dat is ook een persoonlijke voorkeur.

Perfect stay
Aktaion is located perfectly at the city centre and it is a walking distance from port and all restaurants. Good fresh breakfast and hotel has extremely nice and helpfull staff too! Definitely we'll be back when next time in Syros!

The building was pretty and the room was small but had everything I needed plus a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly. The only thing was that the shower head had to be held. There was no insert for it.

Good stay
The location is great, breakfast is very good, staff friendly and amenable. Room was okay but shower very small and floor constantly got totally wet. Parking is serious problem. Prepare to walk up steep steps with your luggage to the rooms.

Loved the central location. A few minute walk from the ferry port. Super close to a plethora of bars and restaurants! The staff was lovely and very hospitable. The room was a bit small for us to open our suitcases but we were only staying 2 nights so it was manageable. I wish there was a shower head attached to the wall. It was hard for me to wash my hair holding the shower head.

Beat location, awesome view from our room to the port. Very quiet area, but very close to restaurants and bars. Recommend without any hesitation.

Lovely hotel with amazing breakfast and staff
Really nice hotel on the front with different rooms ours was a traditional curved roof double that had a nice wet room shower. The bed is a little hard and would benefit from a thick mattress topper but the hotel staff and breakfast quality makes this hotel a fabulous place to stay would definitely stay there again. It’s also v close to the shops and local tavernas so superb location. Would give it 9.5 out of 10 which would have been 10/10 if the bed was a little softer.

We have stayed at The Aktaion before. It’s a lovely hotel on the Port in Syros. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is generous, and very good. The only drawback to this place is the stairway to the rooms. They are steep and circular.

The hotel location is superb and so is the building. Service was excellent though I would have liked a menu for the breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful but it took a couple of days to discover all that was on offer.

A charming, lovely place in Syros
The Aktaion Hotel is a lovely, newly remodeled hotel, with the charm of the city of Syros, Greece. Located on the main port, the Hotel has a bar/restaurant that joins all of the other along the port. Lovely place for coffee/drinks/dinner. Our room had very high ceilings, beautiful stone walls, and all the amenities of of nice hotel. Located on the third floor (that was once a ballroom for the home), the only caution would be that the stairs are not for anyone with disabilities. The breakfast was one of the best we have seen on our travels. The staff are friendly and very accommodating to all. We will definitely return to The Aktaion.

Excellent location, sea view and smiley staff.

We stayed at the Aktaion for 2 nights ! Best hotel experience that I ever had ! The staff was very friendly and very accommodating with all of our needs ! Breakfast was outstanding! We had a seaview room of the port and it was an amazing view ! Our room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable!

We loved staying at this hotel - it’s in a great location, right in the town by the water and the staff are so friendly. The hotel itself is quite small and has a lovely atmosphere. Good value for money. We will be recommending this to friends.

Πολύ όμορφο νεοκλασικό κτίριο στο κέντρο της Ερμούπολης, κοντά στο λιμάνι και στην πλατεία με τα πόδια. Το κτίριο δεν έχει ασανσέρ, καθότι διατηρητέο. Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ άνετο, όχι όμως και το κρεβάτι, καθώς το στρώμα ήταν πολύ σκληρό. Το πρωινό ήταν καλό, με λίγες επιλογές.

Charming hotel on the harbor
This is a cute, older hotel with lots of charm right on the harbor. It was so nice to be able to get off the ferry I'm the middle of the night and have such a short walk to the hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Shops and main square were also very close. It does have a steep staircase which we managed fine but if you were feeble you might want a lower room.

Historic building converted into lovely hotel.
We have already spent two weeks in the Cyclades and are now in the Dodecanese. The route Syros to Samos was extremely convenient and Syros was really just a jumping off point. However Syros has had a major makeover since my last visit and the harbour area is rather upmarket and the island well worth a visit. The Aktaion Hotel stands out on the waterfront and is a beautiful well appointed building with lovely rooms overlooking the harbour and excellent service. A lovely experience.

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is professional, courteous and accommodating. The hotel is located right on the waterfront, affording a spectacular vista of Ermoupoli, and you are surrounded by great restaurants. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and well-appointed.

A perfect stay
Absolutely fantastic location at Ermoupolis city centre near all shops and restaurants. Room was beautifull and spacious with a great view to port. Bathroom was a bit small. Breakfast was great. Since the rooms are upstairs hotel cannot be recommended to disabled but we were just fine. Boys and girls at the reception and bar/restaurant were extremely friendly, especially Andreas waiting tables was super professional and efficient. We would definitely stay at hotel Aktaion again.

Great hotel on the harbour
Stayed here one night in February. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. They let us hang out in their bar/reception area for HOURS waiting for the late ferry to Rhodes.

Lovely people, clean and comfortable room
This hotel is an easy walk from the ferry port, which was the main reason I chose it. You can see the hotel right when you get off the boat. I was pleasantly surprised at how kind and accomodating the staff were. The room was very clean and comfortable, and a reasonable size by European standards. The breakfast room is lovely and they give you a very nice breakfast with a view of the water. It was a great way to start the day. The hotel is also located right in the town center. I absolutely will stay here again if I come back to Syros. One thing to note is that the rooms are up several flight of narrow stairs. The staff carried up my bags for me, and I don't mind walking up stairs, but this hotel would not be good for people with physical disabilities.

Value hotel with the special touches of luxury
This was a great hotel. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. It was the little touches that made this hotel great - tea and coffee in the room (not all Greek hotels do), couch in the room, toiletries and the breakfast was wonderful. It was served outside, in front of the hotel they also had a cafe overlooking the port. The breakfast had good quality food, spreads, crockery and a more modern twist. When our ferry was delayed for 4hours we went back and they looked after our suitcases. Great value and hospitality.

Très bon Hotel sur le port de Syros
J'ai beaucoup apprécié cet Hotel propre avec un bon déjeuner continental servi sur la terrasse de l'hôtel varié car différent chaque jour. Le personnel s'est montré accueillant et agréable. De plus l'hôtel est situé à proximité de tous les lieux "stratégiques" : ferry, bus, mairie, restaurants, rue piétonne.
