Hotel is just ok.
I only booked this hotel as Lonley Planet noted its right by the train station, well yes the old station, but its a fair way from the new fast train station! Otherwise just one thing, my booking was for 2 people including breakfast, which was written on my booking which I had printed out and showed the hotel staff. But they said that only entitled me to only one free breakfast and I would have to pay for the other breakfast, even though they agred my booking was for 2 people including breakfast. Go figure?

Good hotel in a very convenient location.
Good breakfast and supermarket nearby. Train station is user friendly ( ramp for luggage rolling ). Fast food and restaurants around the station.

It is across Taiyuan main train station.
Very good hotel, it is also very convenient. The hotel buffet breakfast is only 20 renminbi, and the food is excellent. The hotel staff are very polite and considerate, they let us check in early and provided us information on how to take public transportation, and they also provide free shuttle to Taiyuan South station.
