The location is the best, just located in the central area id takamatsu. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby

A bit outdated with the furnishings and decoration. Nice location which is close to shops and restaurants and walk-able to and from the Takamatsu station and port.

The hotel is modern and clean. The staff are very professional and helpful. The location is a bit far from the JR train station and the port (which was what I needed to use everyday to access the art islands), but it's not a problem for people who don't mind walking 15-20 mins to the port area. It is surrounded by a lively shopping street and restaurants so there's plenty of choices for dinner, etc.

As is the case with all the hotels in the business oriented hotel chain, the rooms are very small but perfectly adequate. Location is the big plus for this hotel. It is an $8 ride from the train station and is actually walkable if not caring a lot of luggage. We walked to the outer island ferries in 20 minutes. Best of all, it is in the middle of several pedestrian only streets that are covered and offer plenty of eating opportunities and shopping.

Rooms of Dormy Inn are tiny as other hotels in Japan. But it is clean with friendly and helpful staff. Location is good. Complimentary noodles are excellent, must try.

The location of this Dormy Inn was ideal as it was less than one block from a central shopping arcade that had an incredible number of dining and shopping options. I have stayed in a number of Dormy Inns over the years and they never disappoint. I love the hot spring baths and especially enjoy the ones that have open air baths. Beds are always comfortable. I also appreciate a reasonably priced, but very generous buffet breakfast. Coin Laundry facilities in the Inn make doing ones own laundry convenient and economical

The staff were very helpful The room was far too small for us. No wardrobe or drawer space. We had to live out of a suitcase for 11 days. Not ideal. We literally only used the room for sleeping as it was quite run down too. Very good shower.

Smallish room (this is Japan!) but very well equipped, clean and well-presented. Excellent onsen and good breakfast buffet. Ideal hotel for a short stay.

Free ramen and lots of shopping!
The hotel is right smack in the midst of a large network of shopping streets, can get everything without even venturing further. However not so near the JR or Kotoden station. We found it easier to walk 15-20 min directly from JR to the hotel rather than changing from JR to kotoden which takes about 10min each way from JR and to hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful and have specialisation in English and chinese. Trademark of the hotel is their free ramen supper which is superb! As well as free coffee, tea and juice in the morning. The room is a little tiny but to be expected for Japan standard. Bathroom is a standing shower instead of the normal tub. Wifi a bit patchy. Pretty cosy and comfortable. Male and female onsen provided free, a little tiny but have both indoor and outdoor. Happy with stay overall.

VALUE FOR MONEY
Great stay. Staff were very polite and service oriented. The free supper was a bonus. It was beyond my expectation that the free meal to be so good. Ramen was prepared only upon ordered. For the room price, I can’t think of anyone that can still give the hotel average or below rating. It is definitely worth the price.
