My husband & I had a late check-in (nearly 11 pm). During check-in, I was informed that our room was on the 2nd floor and I asked if we could be moved to the 1st floor (noticed only 4-5 vehicles in parking lot) because my husband is handicapped. I was that a change could not be made. Understandable, because I know that my request should have been made when I made our reservation, my fault. The 2nd floor room had been cleaned, but was not clean. The carpet and chairs were laden with stains and one of the chairs had a rip down the middle. Also, you had to flush the toilet 5-6 times to get the tissue to go down. However, during breakfast (such as it was) in the morning, I made the same request to the morning clerk and within 10 minutes, I was moving to a room on the 1st floor. This room was not the best, but it was a step up from the 1st room. Although, the night clerk was pleasant, she did not even attempt to check for available rooms on the 1st floor (there were several empty rooms; curtains were open). I believe that she was just trying to hurry & leave at the end of her shift. No going above & beyond. Thank you, morning clerk!
