The house was clean and tidy, the host very helpful, it was a little further from town than we had thought, and not sure that we had fully appreciated it was a b&b rather than motel, but all in all it worked out fine.

Really enjoyed my stay. Just a few hundred meters from busy Hwy 3 and you'd never know it. Comfy room and generally quiet. A couple barks from the neighbor's dog and clucks from the chickens but nothing in the night. Very good breakfast with homebred bread and fresh eggs. Would stay gain.

Beautiful house, absolutely fantastic for what I needed, great amenities, very professional and every little thing was thought of and set out perfectly when I arrived. Note, this is a b n b, the room does not have a bathroom as described but a shared bathroom etc within the house, so if you’re cool with that, then you will enjoy this lovey house and the fabulous, friendly hosts very much!

Worth a stay
Very warmly greeted, great hosts in warm comfortable home. Breakfast included was a great bonus. Bed was lovely and had a great nights sleep. Bit unsure about bedroom opening onto dining room thou. Quiet and relaxing well worth looking at for accommodation

Good hosts, good comfort, good breakfast.
Brad was an excellent host and helpful in every way. Breakfast was great but a little more variety on offer would have been appreciated but for the price it was excellent value. Room was well appointed and perfectly adequate for my needs and included WiFi and electric blanket on the bed. I'd stay there again.

Lovely clean comfortable place to stay! Very welcoming and lovely hosts to look after you well. Lovely fresh eggs on homemade toast for breakfast but did forget to include my sausage I requested the night before! Their water is boil and cool for you to drink but we didn’t like the taste of it. Apart from that I think a great place to stay with lovely people and nice view of the mountain and some part of beaches.

A welcome home stay
We had a great stay with Fucita and Brad. A very hospitable couple who let us share their home with us. Fresh egg breakfast from their own chickens was wonderful. We hope to be back!

Comfy beds and awesome breakfast
The stay was great and cosy. Owner was very friendly and always available for any questions. Rooms are small for luggages however the quality of the bed was really good and comfortable( best sleep since our arrival from Auckland) and breakfast was prepared on the spot with fresh eggs from their backyard and delicious home made bread. B&B at it's best, with loads of sincerity in hospitality and by far the best stay we've had in New Zealand.

Much appreciate Brad and Fujiko for their outstanding hospitality!!! Super comfy and tidy room with electric blanket and deluxe linen. Spacious bathroom and living room. 24 hrs supply of tea and coffee. And even an unexpected movie night (!!!) Totally in love with their breakfast esp home-made bread and free range eggs!! Lovely cats and chickens in backyard really melt my heart. Also will never forget the egg-picking time! Perfecto!!!

Suburban house B&B
Stayed there two. Managed by a friendly and helpful couple. Handy to everything. Ā place you can chill out in, or go and madly do the touristy things. We enjoyed it.

When booking this accommodation it appeared that the venue was completely flat, which was important as one of our party had a pulled crusciate ligament in her knee and another had hip problems. On arrival we discovered that the driveway was so steep that it was impossible to take our cars up. The proprietor confirmed this, that there was no parking at the top of the drive. We therefore with his help had to take our luggage up this very steep driveway and then two sets of steep stairs (17 steps) to the top. After unloading the bags we then had to go down this very difficult driveway to go to get a meal. By the time we got back and up to the rooms my friend was in excrusciating pain because of the very unfriendly access. We had no choice but to cancel our booking, which also proved impossible On Thursday evening the night we arrived, I tried to contact Wotif by phone to cancel this booking but was unable to connect. The following day I sent an Email to cancel the booking and got an email back to say they would look into it which would take 2 to 3 working days to do. Strangely enough we got an email on the Sunday (not a working day) to say that the accommodation was charging us for this accommodation, when it was impossible for us to stay their. We left before the long weekend and this accommodation could easily have been rebooked as the whole town was booked out. We were not happy at all. We work at Exibitions and share knowledge of good and bad accommodation. i

Great Stay
The owners of this quaint B&B have put their hearts into this place. Brad is full of information and cooks one of the best breakfasts anywhere. The chickens out back lay the eggs daily. And right off the deck is a wonderful view of Mt. Taranaki, a wonderful stunt double of Mt. Fuji. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice B&B would highly recommend it , people were very nice helpful and great breakfast , I would give it 5 stars. Also lower you percentage you take from them, 20% a little steep don't you think!

fantastic, friendly B&B
Wonderfully friendly hosts, spotless and modern room, delicious breakfast with homemade bread and eggs laid by resident hens, peaceful setting with amazing view of the mountain and views over the city.... excellent value for money. Nothing not to like!

The hosts were most welcoming and the house is clean and well maintained. Our bedroom was tiny as! and you don't have to mind sharing a bathroom with possibly 5 other guests and the owners!
