The cost was affordable, but it was hard to sleep due to noise sound from a high traffic road just over the window and wall.

We attended a concert and stay here 1 night. It was just what we needed. Nice and tidy and very spacious. Very friendly and even ordered a taxi for us to get to the venue. Had a lovely stay and would visit again.

Clean and tidy, spacious, has a pool and a spa pool, a playground that includes a trampoline. Close to the beaches and city centre, the laundromat was only 3 blocks away. Easy check in and out and quiet at night. Pet friendly. Good value. Would stay again.

Enjoyable weekend at Flamingo
Enjoyable stay. Outdoor pool a great feature on a hot summers day. Heated indoor pool also if outside is too cold.

Very nice, homely family-friendly motel in a nice setting, handy to the city. The units are a bit dated now, but that didn't detract from the spaciousness and comfort of the unit my wife and I had. Very clean and well serviced and the bed was superb. Glad to recommend. We'll be back!

The best Motel for kids and have stayed there since the 80's. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo Motel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pools and play area were perfect for the kids. The kitchen had all the utensils that we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Property was very nice. Handles could be changed on vanity in bathroom which would update unit. Consertina door to toilet needs a drop of oil or something. Pity no room to change to a sliding door. It really is dated. Also NO toilet bowl cleaner or brush - simple needs a small plastic well labelled container (with safety cap) of loo cleaner to be next to air freshener on window sill(out of range of children) and a loo brush from $2.00 shop. Otherwise very nice, very very clean.

Ett enkelt motell med pool. När vi kom var inte kylskåpet igång. Några gånger glömdes någon av sängarna bort att bäddas. Ligger lite långt från centrum om man vill gå och äta middag. WiFi fungerade bra.

Hi, simple motels are just as hard to maintain as good motels, the fridge was turned off at the wall,and the beds are not made if there are clothing left on them??

We stayed in the double room unit and it was great. Clean facilities and plenty of linen for us all. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the many amenities on offer including indoor and outdoor pools. This is a large motel with lots of units. We booked during a weekend where there were various events in the area so the motel was very full. The parking is a little bit tight and regrettably while we were out, someone took it upon themselves to park outide our room which meant we had to park elsewhere and walk to our room. Nothing the motel could have done really as there is ample parking available, just inconsiderate guests in other rooms. My only real gripe is the fact that there is a garden/ island in the middle of the driveway that diverts incoming and outgoing traffic (enter to the left, exit straight). It makes complete sense and I understand its purpose, however someone had parked poorly in the 1st available space on the entrance side of the dividing garden which blocked access to the road and forced other motorists (including us) to enter in the exit lane. Again not a deal breaker but could have been a nuisance had someone been trying to come out. Aside from parking issues (caused by guests NOT the motel or staff) everything was exceptional. Would 100% stay again.

thanks for your comments, with vehicles getting longer these days parking is always an issue, we do try to keep an eye on where people park, also when we are full guests have visitors that park inside instead of outside, hard to police??

We loved the location, for what we were in New Plymouth for. We love being upstairs and at the back and while the decor was dated it was extremely clean and tidy. I will not hesitate to return and look forward to it.
