We booked for a week at the end Sept/ beg October and had a perfect stay. With around 20 rooms, the friendly and informative staff made sure that we were looked after from the moment we arrived. With our plane arriving late we did not get to the hotel till after 9 but the hotel ensured we could still get a meal. The hotel is beautifully furnished, features a large open atrium and the meals are served around the swimming pool in a beautiful courtyard area. The rooms are spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. a. The hotel is located just a short walk from the rock pools and the sea front and also close to the main town square and the various shops, restaurants and cafes Garachico has to offer. The hotel is peaceful, features a small library room and drinks and refreshments can be provided in the public areas. What makes the hotel special is the service. We were always greeted with a smile by the reception team, given information on how and where to get tourist bus passes and places/beaches to visit in the area and all the staff ensured we were well looked after. My wife has specific dietary requirements – gluten free and vegan – and we contacted the hotel in advance to confirm they could cater for this, Every evening she was provided with surprise starters and main courses, the the staff always taking care to check her food preferences.

In Spain , staff almost all of them spoke English . very helpful and friendly . The airline lost our luggage and the hotel loaned us items and really went out of way to help us .

Beautiful historic building. All rooms are unique and full of character. Staff is lovely. Breakfast and dinner by the pool are especially nice with high quality cooking and good prices given the quality. We had a fantastic week in the hotel. Warmly recommended.

Amazingly friendly hotel with fabulous staff.
This is an amazing hotel with beautiful rooms. The food was excellent and the staff were so professional, helpful and friendly…nothing was too much for them. This is an ideal location for exploring the local countryside with a variety of walks and trails. Highly recommend San Roque, it made a great contrast with our earlier beach holiday.

Fantastisch
Heel mooi hotel gelegen in het historische centrum van Garachico. Beide binnenplaatsen, waarvan één met het zwembad, zijn heel sfeervol. Op de derde dag kregen we een flesje wijn. Dat was een leuke verrassing. Kamer wordt 2x per dag schoongemaakt. Personeel erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt goed maar had net iets uitgebreider gekund. Ook misten we de mogelijkheid om zelf een kopje koffie te kunnen zetten op de kamer.

Hotel encantador ubicado en una antigua casa del siglo XVII y en el casco antiguo de garachico. A pocos metros de las piscinas naturales y del antiguo campo de fútbol del Gara donde podrás aparcar el coche gratis. Es muy tranquilo, nosotros estuvimos prácticamente solos a finales de Julio.

I cannot thank the Hotel San Roque enough for our incredible week in Garachico. The staff are AMAZING. No request was too much, and they were all so kind and caring towards us. Special thanks for being so wonderful with Alex (my husband) who’s just been diagnosed with coeliac disease and so eating out is slightly terrifying for us! (they got in special food and drinks just for him!) The chef(s) needs a special mention too as the food is fabulous! The hotel itself is beautifully done out and really stylish, bed was super comfy, lovely vaulted ceiling, nice and quiet. Garachico is charming and quiet and the rock pools are stunning for a morning swim. All in all the experience was one of the best stays we’ve had and we won’t forget it. Thank you all at SAN ROQUE! 💕

Unglaublich herzlicher Service - Tolles Hotel!
Das Hotel ist ein kleines, sehr feines Boutique-Hotel im Norden Teneriffas. Die Zimmer sind alle mit viel Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail unterschiedlich gestaltet und eingerichtet. Im stilvollen Atrium kann man in gemütlichen Lounge Möbeln zu fairen Preisen lokale Weine genießen und herrlich entspannen. Das beste ist jedoch der unglaublich herzliche und zuvorkommende Service aller Mitarbeiter und der Inhaber-Familie. Wir besuchen das Hotel seit mehr als 10 Jahren und fühlen uns jedesmal 'sofort Zuhause'.

Beautiful hotel in quaint little town.
From the first moment of our arrival to the minute we left, the staff were phenomenal and really made this feel like a special holiday! They really could not do enough for us! Beautiful hotel, beautiful little town and an amazing holiday!

Brilliant Boutique Hotel with great staff
We wanted to go somewhere hot or cold this Christmas. Hot won out. 4 nights at this hotel. 22-24 degrees all day. Ate at hotel first night. food and service were great. We wanted something of the native Tenerife experience. Chose lovely hotel in Garachico. The rooms are spacious, have beautiful furniture. Each room is mindfully decorated. The hotel has a large courtyard, a lovely poolside breakfast area and makes the best scrambled eggs. The coast is a two minute walk away, has lava formed natural pools and provided interest for all the family. The village is picturesque. Travelled with the good lady, 22 old son and 7 year old daughter. Holiday was excellent for all party. Alenjandro who took our booking was most helpful for local guidance, what to do, where to eat etc. We will go again

Oasis of calm -- The other side of Tenerife
On a cobbled street in the sleepy town of Garachico, Hotel San Roque offers a truly unique experience for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of resorts, and stay in boutique comfort. The rooms are spartan but comfy. We stayed in one of the duplex rooms and the split-level layout made it feel spacious and unique. The staff were amazing -- helpful, patient, friendly, and accommodating. Not only would I recommend the place, I'd probably go back. Its a five min walk to the ocean and you can sit in rock pools dotted on the ocean-front of Garachico if the sea's quiet enough. There's some great restaurants around the town and the hotel's restaurant is among the best. There's not much to do in Garachico and you benefit from a hire car to get around to the local beaches and to go hiking around El Teide. Also, the drive from Tenerife Sur Reina airport is not for the feint-hearted at night (narrow winding rounds on a mountain) but by day the views on that journey are stunning. Also, the hotel and town are worth the effort!

An outstanding hotel! Top quality food. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Fabulous building & rooms. Garachico is an authentic Tenerifien town in a stunning location, away from the Tourist traps on the Southside. Well worth a visit!

Great Hotel and Staff
Great hotel, a real Spanish feel to it, inner courtyards, wooden balconies. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Garrachico has a beautiful square lovely churches and museums, would advise a car for a couple of days if staying for more than 4 nights. If you're looking for a place to relax it's ideal.

Not a room with a view!
The room we were given (like most of the rooms) overlooked the internal court yard which was used as a lounge so you had to keep the blind down in the room for privacy. I hate dark rooms! However the staff willingly moved us to a rather quaint attic room with a skylight which was much better. Very much an urban hotel for use as a base.

4 Nächte haben wir in diesem Hotel verbracht – es war zu kurz! Der Empfang war herzlich und der Service super. Für spanische Verhältnisse, war das Frühstücksbüffet abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig. Wir haben auch 1x im Hotel zu Abend gegessen: das Essen war sehr gut. Überhaupt gibt es in Gehdistanz mehrere sehr empfehlenswerte Restaurants. Es war etwas kalt für die Saison, so haben wir nicht gebadet – die Elektroheizung im Zimmer war dafür perfekt. Das Hotel liegt in dem schönen Ort von Garachico, welcher noch von den Touristenburgen verschont ist. Für Ausflüge empfehlen wir ein Auto.

Tolles Essen, super Service, frühstücken war auch zu früheren Zeiten immer möglich Liegt in einem Ort mit vielen sehr guten Restaurants und Meeresbrandung! Waren begeistert. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für viele verschiedene Wanderungen.

Not keen on Tenerife however delighted we found this hotel as it was a pleasure being there lovely staff - always helpful, very relaxing. Weather was cloudy on a couple of days,but still warm and pleasant - opportunity to get out and explore

Very comfortable hotel, nice atmosphere, staff very pleasant and attentive. We were upgraded to a junior suit, very nice but not sure about the giant whirlpool bath in the bedroom. Bit of a hazard on the way to the toilet in the middle of the night!!

Beautiful hotel in charming town
We loved this hotel. The decor was traditional Canarian, with masses of richly-polished woodwork, beautiful courtyards and roof terrace overlooking the town and sea, and walls of richly-coloured and polished plaster. The staff were helpful, welcoming, friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent, and we had several nice dinners as well.

Beautiful small hotel
We had a split-level room on the first floor surrounding the central courtyard, so that you looked down into the courtyard from the balcony onto which all the rooms opened. The courtyard contains casual seating and tables and a huge abstract sculpture of what could be considered a giant grasshopper (?) perhaps. The pool is in an adjacent courtyard where there are also the tables for breakfast and dinner (both of which are strongly recommended). The hotel is quiet but extremely atmospheric and beautifully restored with wonderful furniture throughout. Since it is also excellently located only a very short walk from the front with all the swimming and restaurant facilities, the only question is why would you want to stay anywhere else in Garachico ?

A quiet, lovely hotel for couples and adults.
Garachico is a beautiful little city on the north coast. Nice to walk, but hilly. The food and service at the hotel were excellent. After the visit we saw Hotel San Roque described in Jaime magazine, recognizing the chef. Only hotel guests use the restaurant so you are never pressured or disturbed by crowd. The first room we got was on 2 levels with the bedroom up but the bath down. Not good for people with any mobility problems, but the staff made other arrangements for us as soon as they could.

Wonderful intimate Hotel close to the sea.
This hotel is one of a kind. Very tasteful and luxurious without being ostentatious. The staff were all so helpful and attentive. Its quiet and peaceful. There are lots of places to sit and relax, Airy cool courtyard, Enchanting pool area, fantastic roof terrace, and welcoming library and bar area. The bedrooms are sheer indulgence with your own Jaccuzzi bath in the bedroom and plenty of space.

Einfach wunderbar
Das San Roque ist eine herrliche Oase, in einem alten Herrenhaus, toll eingerichtet und gepflegt. Es ist ein Ort der Ruhe und Erholung mit den Sitzgruppen in den Innenhöfen und auf den Balkonen. Die Zimmer sind gross, Grundrisse und Einrichtung sind verschieden. Jedes Detail stimmt. Die Gastgeber sind äusserst zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich sofort sehr willkommen. Es ist einfach wunderbar.

Un lieu unique
A peine on a passé la porte de l'hôtel que l'on comprend que ce lieu est unique.D'ailleurs on ne se sent pas à l'hôtel. C'est comme si nous étions invités chez des amis dans une grande maison bourgeoise qui a conservé tout son cachet.Le personnel est adorable et très discret, les suites très originales autour d'un patio plein de charme ou avec vue sur la piscine. C'est aussi autour de la piscine que se passe le dîner du talentueux chef suédois Danny qui excelle dans le mélange de saveurs. Ce lieu est bourré de charme et a une âme très forte qui nous laissera un souvenir inoubliable...
