This was our absolute best stay in the three weeks we were in Europe! The staff was amazing, the food outstanding and the location — I can’t even begin to describe. If I could give it a higher rating I would!

Wonderful property located about 4 miles from central Orvieto. Room and view were spectacular. Had a private dinner in the main room and the food was excellent. Everything in this 13th century building has been modernized but it still retains it's medieval flavor.

Beautiful Locanda close to Orvieto
Fantastic locanda located about 5km from Orvieto. Great breakfast which was on the terrace or inside in the breakfast buffet area. Room was a junior suite and was on two levels with the bedroom/bathroom upstairs. Difficult to get the bags to the room so we left them downstairs and just took up what we needed but it was a little difficult and nowhere to store the bags on the ground level.

Beautiful location in the hills outside of Orvieto
A beautifully restored home in the Umbrian hills. Surrounded by excellent wine. The room was as pictured, with a seating area and desk with mini fridge downstairs and the bed and bathroom upstairs. We made a reservation at the restaurant on premises. It was divine with the wine to match! The road to the Locanda is a bit bumpy, so it is recommend to stay in for dinner if you have a nicer car like we did. There are walking trails and other activities to enjoy! Breakfast was downstairs and had everything one could want. here is also a beautiful pool.

This is a fantastic location just outside Orvieto. Although the building dates back centures, it has been recently revamped, so the features are quite modern. My room was very comfortable and quiet enough that I could sleep with the window open. I ate two dinners and a lunch on the property, and all three were excellent.

This is a wonderful place that really caters to the individual - small and personal - delicious wine and food surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and vineyards. Loved the wine tasting!

Wonderful Boutique Hotel Suitable for Families Too
We had a fantastic stay at Locanda Palazzone. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The food delicious, fresh and served on the beautiful terrace overlooking Orvieto. We stayed in the family suite which was spacious, two bedrooms and a sitting room. Wonderful views from every window.

Photos cannot begin to show how beautiful this hotel is to visit. The views are stunning and it gets even better once you step inside. Your hosts are the owner operators and take great pride in their vineyard, wine and inn. My husband and I cancelled one night in Rome to stay another day. It was too hard to leave.

Locanda Palazzone er et unikt sted: En kardinalsresidens fra 1300 omdannet til vingård og hotel. Både hotel og restaurant er absolut topklasse. Omgivelserne er smukke, og både ejerne og personalet er yderst imødekommende og meget vidende om vindyrkning og gastronomi. Locanda Palazzone er det perfekte sted for mad- og vinelskere, og stedets æstetik er en fornøjelse.

Special place in the countryside
Amazing views great host and fabulous food. My husband was feeling unwell while we were there and the kitchen prepared vegetable soup. Nothing was too much trouble. A great experience would highly recommend. Couldnt have asked for more

God service og nydelig omgivelser. Kort vei til Orivieto. Litt vanskelig å finne, men ligger flott i landskapet. Vinen fra gården var også meget god. Kanskje litt dyrt, men verdt det om man ønsker noen rolige dager på en vakker vingård.

Gorgeous setting and beautiful restoration
This beautiful restoration of an historic farmhouse near Orvieto was a wonderful vacation spot. The wine produced on this family-owned estate is wonderful. The views could not be more idyllic and we loved the town of Orvieto even more than we anticipated. The lovely mix of old stone archways in the windows and Saarinan furniture made the rooms feel special. I hope we can return to this wonderful hotel.
