Good atmosphere - very basic accommodation - toilet didn’t flush so had to use a bucket. Very dark room and extremely hot.

Diamond in the rough
Excellent hotel, very clean, spacious rooms, very friendly staff. ...great location. ..plenty of toiletries and clean towels. .. No problems with WiFi or cable TV. ....the only minus for this hotel would be lukewarm shower, but I would definitely recommend and stay here again. .....terrific experience

Average Hotel
Average hotel. Rooms are of medium size. Room is clean enough. Bed sheets / towels need more cleanliness. Room service is very limited. No hot water. Getting food is a challenge if you checkin very late. since it is beach side, need to walk 5 minutes from parking.

just an ok budget hotel close to Hawa beech.
This is just an ok place for a low bufget stay near the beech.Hotel is close to the beech and lots of restaurents nearby.Room was clean and bed was ok.Bathroom needed some attention with hot water facility.Hotel staff was good.

Close to the beach at a reasonable price.
Hotel was fine. very nice, helpful staff. About 15 seconds walk from the beach. Lots of restaurants around. Overall, a good first stay in India.

Great once we paid for a room upgrade
Our originally booked room was small, dark and downstairs in a noisy part of the hotel. When we arrived, the clerk offered us a room upgrade for 1000 rupees (around $20CAD) per night. The upgraded room was great, on the second floor with a big window and ocean view and a large private balcony. The upgraded room looks like the hotel photo we saw on the Expedia page - the originally offered room does not. We were totally happy with the upgraded room - it was just 50% higher than the price we had budgeted for. All in all, though, we loved the location and the room was totally comfortable.

Nice hotel close to the beach
Staff were friendly, mind it I didnt have too many requests...get to know the staff there a bit and they can be of massive help with things around and even further....they have local knowledge and they will help u out if u r going to varkala.

Our biggest disappointment in India
Hotel offloaded us to a property two blocks from the beach claiming they had no booking. Then we got accused of having changed our booking until the manager feebly admitted that he made a mistake but refused to do anything about it. He attacked us for asking to be accommodated in his hotel (which is beach front) claiing that he provided us with alternative accommodation and that was it.He even tried to charge us his room rate which was 25% more than what the other property charged. We have spent more than 200 nights in Indian middle of the road hotels over the years but the Florra Inn and his manager was the worst experience ever. complete let-down. We met other people with the same experience and neighbouring business people confirmed that the Florra was well known for its shonky practices and rude manager. Don't book there, save yourself the stress to deal with such an unprofessional hotel manager. There are far better properties around.

séjour très agreable malgré le désagrement à notre arrivée , la chambre ne corespondait pas du tout ni aux photos ni au descriptif mais le personnel très agreable et comprehenssif même si ils nous ont changé pour l'étage ils nous ont remis dans la même chambre !!

Perfekt läge vid stranden och trevlig personal
Beach Florra Inn är ett prisvärt hotell. Läget vid stranden är perfekt och personalen är trevlig och tillmötesgående. Städningen fungerar inte alltid bra och vi som gäster behövde själva be om toalettpapper och annat men allt sådant kompenserades av att personalen var så trevlig och tillmötesgående.

Very bad and pathetic stay inhotel bookedbyexped
it was patheticexperience 1) reached hotel at 8pm 2) Hotel staff gave non ac room ,room was too small ,no clean no light during that time for 30 mins 3) Called toexpedia helpline .Spoke to Avinash and raisedissues 4) After that they gave AC roombut for that I land up paying rs 2000 and Avinash confirmed tha the money will be beared bythem 5) I wanted to check out on the same day but they were not ready to return 6) no service to hotel ,no intercom in the hotel and room 7) very old TV was placed where hardly some channels .,no colgate and sampoo in bathroom 8) for water they charged extra , 9) Extra bed was bookedbut no space in the room to provide to place the extra bed .Somehow managed to put one small mattress 10) Again called to expedia at 9 pm and he confirmed that expedia had spoketo hotel and they will provide and rectify all the probelm and Expedia will return rs 2000 to me andwhat ever the exra amount I am going to pay .Only I need to provide th bills but expedia never come back .however I maild thrice and called twice but update yet 11 ) third day I had to vaccate the hotel and shiftedin another four star hotel (Classic Avenue ) Hope some one look into the matter and get this resolved .Only request to expedia that they must do personal audit before confirming the hotel .people believe expedia as excellent travel agency and hope the action will be taken . what ever written is the actual gact and informed to expedia the day and time I check i

Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am Strand, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Klima-Anlage. Das war wirklich sehr angenehm. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider hat das Sea View Palace kein WIFI / Internet.

Expedia risks reputation with this hotel
Expedia should not book this hotel for people as they will lose credence as a reputable company which in my past experience they have been excellent. Sea View Palace is in a good location and is freshly painted. The bed sheet is acrylic, the staff do not carry bags upstairs, there is no back up electricity so you either have air and mosquitoes or no air, no fan , no aircon. No drinking water supplied and no breakfast.For an extra $15/ night you can stay at Jeevans- back up generator, pool and OK breakfast and really helpful staff.

HOTE SEA VIEW PALACE -- WORST PLACE TO VISIT
The Hotel booked through expedia at Kovalam, Kerala -- India)-- Hotel Sea View is the worst hotel that I have ever been to---- No power back up, no intercom , bathroom / toilet -- exhaust fan not working , Flush of the toilet not working, Power Plug broken, Night lamp broken and hanging from the wall, no room service for dining, no arrangement for the guest to bring luggage from the road to the hotel (which is at the beach), above all , the very very rude behaviour of the staff at hotel with no manners and ethics. I request you not to fool the customers any more and not to loot his money.

Very good budget option, good location on the beach front, great restaurant overlooking the beach. Basic but clean rooms with comfortable beds. Very helpful hotel Manager.
