Thank you for a wonderful stay for our visit to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which, despite the rain, we were able to walk to from Holly Lodge. Plenty of parking space at the property. Everything was provided for a comfortable night's rest. Accomodation was 'toasty' warm very clean and inviting, breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices. The next day we enjoyed a visit to Holt which has quaint alleyways with interesting and different shops. This was an unexpected bonus.

Easy access to al areas of interesr
Very welcoming. Rooms are converted stable in great condition. Breakfast in a communal conservatory. Very near to The Thursford Collection. Staff (and Guests) were great

Great place to stay.
Holly lodge is a realy nice B&B. It has a large well maintained garden and our romm was very comfortable. Jerremy was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and served in the garden conservatory.

what a gem
A lovely B&B. Very friendly and welcoming. Helpful little extras (toothbrush and paste, sewing kit to mention a few). Cake and a bottle of wine was a really welcome touch along with a vast choice of tea's, coffee and hot chocolate. Will definitely go back

Holly Lodge
A beautiful part of the country & a nice quiet spot. Jeremy makes amazing cakes & a brilliant breakfast, and welcoming you in your room were complementary cake, fruit, chocs and a bottle of wine - memorably nice touches in my experience. The accommodation was excellent and there is no question that myself and my wife would happily stay at Holly Lodge again in the future.

Holly Lodge greets you like no other.
A must stay if in the area! Each lodge has a gentle theme which embraces you. Jeremy who with his wife runs the B&B greets you and from that moment on makes your stay so pleasant. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, home made Ginger cake and a few chocolates. Beautiful room, relaxing and quiet. Slept very well. Well worth a stay!

Holly Lodge a Great mix of cottage and B&B
The room we had was delightful ,spacious with an on suite bathroon, TV and comfortable Bed. The Rooms are in converted outbuildings done to a nice standard, and slightly away from the main house which gave a nice sense of Privacy , the owners were welcoming and friendly , There was a complimentary boittle of wine on arrival, plus a couple of slices of home made bake which was a nice touch - Breakfast was in the conservatory of the main house with fruit juice, cereals and fruit and a choice of a local kipper , English or American (Egg, Bacon and pancakes) round a shared table with the other guests - A nice weekend in a nice location we will be back

Relaxed Stay
A very pleasant week in August. Great attention to comfort and detail by the owners, advice on walks, restaurants, places to visit and good conversation. Tasty breakfasts using locally sourced food. The garden is well worth exploring for its different shrubs and trees. Will be back again.

A delightful stay
A delightful stay, the cottage and garden we're lovely. Our host Jeremy cooked us a lovely meal on the first night. Plus some lovely cake and a bottle of wine! It was well placed to explore north Norfolk. We would highly recommend as somewhere a little different. A very enjoyable stay

I have done a lot of travelling, over 30 countries and 5 continents. this lodge was one of the best places I have stayed. the staff were extremely helpful, the food was excellent and the accomodation was great

Lovely cottage and owners
We were made very welcome during our stay. We were upgraded to Claret Cottage. The cottage was very well decorated and laid out. The welcome cake, wine, chocolates and fruit are a lovely thoughtful touch. Breakfast is immense - not requiring us to eat at lunchtime. The information in the cottage on where to visit, eat and drink is very useful and in our 2 days we tried to fit in as much as possible. The location is ideal for exploring the North Norfolk coast. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to return in the future.

Great B and B
Friendly owners. Made to feel welcome. Bottle of wine provided on arrival and fresh baked cake each day. Plenty of tea and coffee and access to fresh milk. Excellent breakfast. Good value. Great location and easy drive to coast. Nearest pub just over a mile away. One of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in.

Lovely tucked away B&B
We stayed at Holly Lodge to celebrate our anniversary and be 'kid free' for a night. We were impressed by the 'small things'. Homemade cake in your room, bottles of water and a bottle of wine with proper glasses. Fresh milk available in the conservatory fridge, along with DVDs and more wine should you require it! The bed was incredibly comfy and the shower very powerful. We absolutely loved the garden and the breakfast was quite simply delicious. American panackes, smoked crispy bacon and maple syrup? Don't mind if I do! Jeremy was an excellent host and we had everything we needed. We would definitely return!

Fantastic B&B with great hosts
We enjoyed everything about our stay at Holly Lodge. The accurate directions for finding the B&B and our genial host Jeremy who welcomed us started our visit off on a positive note. The wine, chocolates and home-made tea loaf were all appreciated after a long day of driving. Our first evening, we decided to do take-out and Jeremy graciously set up the conservatory for us to use so we would be comfortable. The next evening, he made reservations for us at a local restaurant that they recommended. Lovely food! The breakfasts were were very tasty with good variety. My husband particularly enjoyed the smoked kipper! To help with planning our days there were maps and information aplenty for us to use. We can highly recommend staying at Holly Lodge.

Brilliant place to stay
Loved the room in the old stable block, especially having your own door out into the garden. Jeremy provided lots of lovely extras, such as wine, chocolates, home-made cake, good quality toiletries. We had an excellent evening meal in the conservatory, including home-made bread. The breakfast was equally good, with nothing being too much trouble. We hope to visit again and I can't give a better recommendation than that.

Great location
The stay was very romantic and the room was very nice, the décor was very tasteful and the host Jeremy very accommodating. The only small gripe was us having 2 single beds pushed together which was not ideal but the stay was lovely.

An excellent location, the owner was lovely, the breakfast was lovely and we had a fantastic time, there was even cake, chocolates and a bottle of wine in the room on arrival - would definitely revisit!!!

Country cottage
We stayed in the smallest of the cottages and had a wonderful time. Nice quiet location, fantastic garden and grounds, and a cooked breakfast that was 2nd to absolutely nothing. Some really nice touches were the complimentary bottle of wine and fresh fruit on arrival, also the daily slices of cake. All in all a great place. See you again soon !!

Very good!
These cottages / old houses are just great. In a quiet spot - but not to far from restaurants and attractions - perfect for a romantic trip or just to calm down. The host is friendly and the food is very good.

Perfect location for a quiet get-away!
The accommodation was very quaint, feels like you have a small cottage to yourself. Very clean, comfy and has all expected amenities etc Jeremy couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. Beautifully cooked breakfasts, full range of items that you’d expect. All in all, we’ll be sure to go back again in the future!

A well-hidden jewel
Holly Lodge is located on a street that is difficult to find and hidden from view by a large hedge and long driveway. But the search was well worth it. Holly Lodge is owned and run by Gillian and Jeremy Bolam. They took over the Inn a few years ago and turned it into a remarkably elegant, well-appointed and comfortable hotel that is surrounded by beautiful grounds. It is a great base for long walks in the Norfolk countryside. Jeremy,an accomplished ultra-marathon runner, is a most engaging host. When have YOU last invited a hotel host to visit you at your own home? Jeremy made dinner for a dear but seriously ill friend and his wife a very special event. He does all the cooking, and our meal was delicious, the vegetarian as well as the dishes for carnivores. We had an elegant small dining room all to ourselves. We found a free bottle of wine in our room, and our excellent dinner wine was inexpensive. The price suggested cheap plonk, but it definitely was not. The room was comfortable and appointed with great attention to detail. The quality bathroom supplies were specially packaged and labeled for the Lodge. Breakfast was served in the charming glassed-in conservatory, a delightful place to sit with a cup of coffee and answer e-mails. On our “come-back-to” list, the Holly Inn ranks very much at the top.

Nice break away
Made to feel very welcome. Room nice, albeit stone floor was very cold. Lots of lovely extra's in room such as fruit, cake and wine. Breakfast very nice, however, did not like sharing table with other guests as felt had to enter into false conversation. Gardens of B and B lovely. Enjoyed exploring them.

Fantastic hospitality
Really welcoming and helpful hosts. Wine, cake and Easter eggs in our room on arrival, and the cake was replenished every day! Excellent choice at breakfast and good quality food. Really helpful when we wanted some information about boating on the Broads and when we wanted to extend our stay for a night they were very accommodating. Brilliant - will definitely visit again.

All the makings of a special weekend...
It was just fabulous! Such a beautiful cottage bedroom, well equipped with lovely decor, crisp linen, a comfortable bed, tea, wine, fresh cake. And the conservatory in the main house was a place where we could have stayed the whole time -- what a beautiful place to enjoy the amazing home-cooked breakfasts, sitting in the sun drinking tea, reading the day's papers, planning our walks on the great assortment of maps. Eventually we convinced ourselves to get out and walk along the coast and the beautiful villages in the area; but we were so happy to get back to our lovely cottage at the end of each day! Thank you so much for the fabulous service and lovely hospitality...

Nice in Norfolk
We stayed in the very tastefully converted stable room 'Country Cottage'. Excellent welcome, including a bottle of wine and bowl of fruit. Good explanation and orientation, including a comprehensive guide to the area in the written materials. Room was warm and comfortable (the weather was cold and miserable). The in room chairs were dining style which didn't make for comfortable seating for any length of time. However this was compensated for by the seating available in the convervatory, wbere meals are also served....speaking of which, breakfast was fantastic. Great quality local produce, well prepared and presented. One small gripe. Although free wifi is provided, the signal strength is very weak, even in the conservatory and practically impossible in the room. Highly recommend. We would certainly go again.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway
Lovely b&b, very peaceful and relaxing. Perfect breakfasts and freedom to come and go as you please. Great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, and especially nice to come back to your own cosy cottage to have cake and tea already in your room (also loved the complimentary bottle of wine!) We felt really looked after by Jeremy and wanted for nothing, all in all one of the best b&b's we've ever stayed in :)

Perfect getaway
The staff at Holly Lodge were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you and made my partner and I feel welcomed at all times. Their generosity went beyond that of standard hotels and the little touches in the room made our stay that much greater. I would not hesitate returning and would recommend it to anyone.
